Acjohn: An evidence that Buhari government is confused. Policy instability is one of the things that drives away investors. It was supposed to be time for Igbo man like innoson but because hr is not a northerner, let the policy be changed to disfavor him. What happened to the automotive policy of Nigeria?
As I dey like this now, I don't know where we are headed economically, NNPC have changed from oil producer to oil importer. Resources in the north is for the people that in the south is for the government, Ipob are terrorist while Fulani herdsmen and BH are misunderstood people that government needs to negotiate with.
I won't be surprised if its a northerner that was given a contract and had to lobby for this to be lifted so that he can make good gains, after that government will reverse the policy again.
God help us from this circular motion. Paddy paddy government. |

jamesversion: Igbos are unserious. So now, APC is no longer an Islamic party. Their love for ready made will be their undoing. Igbos cannot really claim to have been completely loyal to PDP.
Anambra has always been APGA
Abia has fluctuated between PDP, PPA and PDP
Imo has also fluctuated between PDP, PPA, APGA, APC, PDP and APC again.
Ebonyi is now in APC.
Only Enugu can lay claim to PDP loyalty.
The truest and most loyal PDP members are found in Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states. So when talk about Igbos being loyal to PDP, I just SMH.
Igbos are a big tribe, they should all rally behind APGA, the party which is the legacy of Ojukwu to them and grow it to National acceptance as some Individuals grew APC into the ruling party it is now.
Others cannot cook and long throat Igbos arrive to chop. who does that. I'm not a fan of bin loyal to any politcal party. It makes some of those who win under such party to be complecent. Any party tat gives us the best candidate is definately who we are voting for. And remember our political parties have no idealogy. |

Eastlink: The SE are the cause of their political predicaments today. They lost the plot after the death of Zik. No matter how the pro-Biafran dumb bandwagon may want to paint Zik, he made sure the Igbos got their fair share in the power sharing equation. Any wonder why since 1993 no Igbo have come close to attaining the Presidential seat. Following the PDP stupidly was a political mistake that has come back to hunt Igbos.
Seeing that the PDP had no future for them from 1999 -2003, they should have joined any formidable party to send them packing. But that was never done. In 2003 when the opportunity presented itself they foolishly played the southern game by supporting Obasanjo instead of a Buhari with a SE running mate. They had the opportunity with Buhari/Okadigbo ANPP but cowardly supported Obasanjo. What did Obasanjo gift them in return, political death? The same Obasanjo is the godfather of MASSOB who has now metamorphosed to IPOB, a monster currently ravaging the Igbo nation.
The opportunity arose again in 2007 with Buhari / Umezuoke but still our people ignorantly sold their birthright supporting Yar’adua / GEJ. Though Yar’adua was fair to everyone, but fairness and sympathy votes don’t count in Nigeria.
The last opportunity came in 2015 when Buhari toured the SE for Igbo alliance. A zone that had stood with him since 2001, but what he saw made him weep. Seeing that he couldn't get it he looked to the SW. This was where Ndigbo shot themselves in the foot. Even when the likes of Rochas with his APGA faction along with Ogbonnaya Onu ANPP rallied Ndigbo to join the APC, the wicked PDP politicians of Igbo extraction called them outcast and continued dining with the PDP. What should have been a bargaining chip in the APC was sold on the alter of greed. By foolishly standing with GEJ in 2015, the SE sounded their political death knell.
Well, It’s never too late than never. The SE must leave the PDP in drove, either starting a new party or seek the fellowship of the APC. A people must have self-worth and not be easily swayed by emotions. This is the lesson. Some people will not like this but this is the truth. |

limeta: I copied this from the wall of a Northerner, Ibrahim Ntseyebi
I WEEP FOR THE SOUTH
You must understand something, all Southern politicians are driven by untold degree of selfishness. While in office, they are all aspiring for the next office. The strategy to get on the ladder is to sacrifice their people, their towns and villages and their region. They do everything possible to please the Hausa Fulani Northerners in order to be favoured. We can go back a little to pull out some examples.
(1) *Gov. Peter Odili wanted to run for presidency*, he squandered River State money on Northern Emirs and Northern Opinion leaders. At the end, he failed.
(2) *Gen Obasanjo held up all development programs in the South and promoted infrastructure development in the North in order to get the 3rd term agenda through*. At the end, he failed.
(3) *James Ibori wanted to be a Vice President to President Yar'dua, in place of Jonathan*. Delta State Liaison office in Abuja, became an ATM for all the Northern PDP members. At the end, not only did he fail, he was sent to prison.
(4) *Jonathan Goodluck postponed South South development to his anticipated second tenure* and put in all resources to the rehabilitation of the Almajiris, Emirs Palace from Sokoto to Maiduguri. Built Abuja- Kaduna Rail line when Lagos Ibadan Express Way was impassable, East West Road was a mere historical concept; built and completed Federal Universities in Katsina, Jigawa etc but did foundation ground breaking for the the Federal University in Bayelsa. At the end, he was sent out of the Villa by the Northern INEC Chairman he appointed.
(5) *Under Jonathan, the then Minister for Aviation, Stella Odua, funded in full*, the rehabilitation & upgrading of the Kano, Sokoto, Katsina Airports but Port Harcourt Airport operated from a Tarpaulin, Enugu completely short down. At the end, AMCON took over all her assets and currently facing EFCC.
(6) *Our brother Ibe Kachukwu was the Chairman of NNPC BOT & Petroleum Minister* at the same time. He promoted the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline. He rehabilitated the Petroleum institute in Kaduna when the Petroleum Institute in Warri was not captured in the budget. He was humiliated out of office.
(7) *Obono-Obla was appointed the Chairman of Government Asset Recovery Committee*. His target was only all past office holders from the South South and South East. At the end he was framed and arrested.
( *The immediate past MD of NDDC and Akwa Ibom State APC Governorship candidate, Nsima Ekere gave out emergency jobs (contracts) only to Southern Contractors fronting for Northerners*. NDDC became an ATM for "the Villa Boys". Where is he now?
(9) *Rotimi Amaechi is lobbying to be the next Vice President, in 2023*. His first action is to sell the South and became a saboteur. No wonder why as a Transport Minister he found it very necessary to build the Lagos-Ibadan- Abuja-Kaduna-Kano-Katsina Rail line, Calabar - Maiduguri Rail line, Transport University in Katsina. The Great Eastern Railway line From Port Harcourt via Aba, Onitsha to Enugu to Okene in his books, is not feasible. Who are the MDs of Nigerian Ports Authority and NIMASA?
(10) *The current Petroleum Minister, Chief Timipre Sylva, has initiated the construction of the Ajaokuta-Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipe line* to facilitate the building of a Gas Power Station in Abuja and Kaduna and "to turn Kano into an Industrial Head Quarters". The man is from Bayelsa State where there is over 90% unemployment and no electricity light from National Grid.
The story is long!!! Totally agree with this piece, I stayed in South part of the country and one thing I must say for sure is that they are way too greedy, it's in their DNA but I feel that they are doing what they were appointed to do.. It could be that they had an agreement before giving them any political position. Most times I even blame the south south leaders because most of the governor's which they have elected over the years not not done anything in terms of human capital development, infrastructure, good roads, just to mention a few. Time will tell. |
