the thing is most nigerians and many people on this forum thread don't understand that in the IT industry abroad, contract jobs are very normal and most contract jobs are less than a year anyway. im not sure if theres a contract job culture in nigeria yet as most jobs are full time. so don't hold 5 jobs in 4 years against candidate B. in fact, as for me, i might never get a computer related MSc because in 3 years I've learnt more than any degree can teach me through hands-on experience. its just that most times masters degrees from the UK or anywhere abroad look shiny and solid to employers. many people pass through these programs without the needed knowledge. im going to do an MBA soon, but not an MSc. I think im past an MSc already, with 3 years working experience in the US. this is how many IT contractors in the US/UK work: they could do 2-3 contract jobs a year which could be 3-6 months each and wont work the rest of the year, because contract jobs will pay you higher than a full time salary job and they might have made more than enough money for the entire year. ABROAD, THE CANDIDATE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE WILL BE MORE MARKETABLE BUT IN NIGERIA, THAT DEGREE MIGHT LOOK SHINY TO EMPLOYERS. |
cant believe im hearing so late. COD is one of the things i miss most about naija right now & 2 hear about pastor eskor's death is really sad. |
ha ha ha. this is so hilarious. i grew up in ife and saw the name of one of my my boys in those emails ha ha ha ha. LOL. LMAO but the funny thing is the number of yahoo boys in ife cant compare to lagos or ibadan no matter what so why is there emphasis on ife maybe cos theres never any raids there. i even hear yahoo boys are shifting base to nearby african countries like togo & ghana |

my blog is so difficult to activate? why is my "blog" worrying u this much now ? do u even know wot a blog is? which website are u calling a blog? i hope its not sturvs.com ure calling a blog ? is that wot they teach u in covenant ? & ure telling me to get on facebook & tell people to get on it? well, i started doin that months ago. & is it people getting on it that will make it "better to activate". wot r u activating there? again i hope u don't learn all this from covenant because bishop oyedepo's doin better than that 4 y'all. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT BABCOCK / COVENANT SO SHUT UP ABOUT MY "BLOG" OR WOTEVER You KEEP SINGING. & STURVS.COM IS NOT A BLOG! i really don't see how any of the articles u posted add more to covenants rep. like i said before the school has very good infrastructure & funding. nobody's taking anyth personal here ure just hilarious thats all, talkin bout "my blog". i get blog ? |
HILARY CLINTON SPEAKS AT BABCOCK UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION INAGURATION http://www.babcockuni.edu.ng/news.cfm http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/education/article03/140607 BABCOCK University is bracing up to host the second edition of the Nigerian Private University Games. http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/sports/article07/080507 Babcock varsity programmes get 75 per cent accreditation http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/education/article02/080207 |
u went on my blog page & u think its kind of plain? & u say im taking offence? so if my blog is plain wot does that have 2 do with wot we're talking about here? & by the way ure saying d same thing im saying. theres freedom of speech & opinion here. u have urs & i have mine. leave it at that. this is a matured forum where people give opinions & back them up with solid points. u saying "cu is shaa better" has no backing thats y i said u should prove it. lets hear wot u have 2 say about cu's greatness, thats if u have anyth to say, every intelligent argument is simple: 1. OPINION 2. BACKING. |
ms laolu wotever i said about bishop oyedepo or my dad doesnt have anything to do with BU being better. wot im saying is i know more and will always know more about the two schools than u. and i also have the right to an opinion from wot i know about both schools, which is that BU is an overall better school. thats my opinion u don't have to agree with me. u saying cu is "sha still better" already shows no backing 4 ur opinion. prove it if u can |
is anybody here trying to mess with babcock uni? make i throw am blow! anyways to be honest im pretty tight with both schools. i graduated from babcock and my dad's on the board of covenant. he was basically the person who set the school up & helped get accreditation from NUC blah blah. oh yeah bishop oyedepo's my tight paly too. ![]() babcock is more recognised internationally (if ure planning to go abroad) and gives you the best quality for the courses they offer. Accounting/Marketing & Political science at Babcock are easily among the best in the country. Computer engineering/science is also very strong. Many of these other private schools (including covenant & igbinedion) have rushed to do professional courses like medicine & engineering without proper preparation. thats y medicine was canceled at igbinedion, because they just didnt have the facilities for it. on the other hand covenant has mad funding & structures. i havent been there in a while but i know how bishop oyedepo does it when it comes to architecture & to me the school's buildings can only get better. cannanland is one beurriful looking place babcock is still closer to a regular uni than covenant, which is more high-school like. u get better exposure at babcock. everyone needs to experience that college/uni life or ull end up a mugu. babcock has more experienced staff & better administration (with foreign supervision), remember it was an institution long before it became a uni. a lot of covenants staff are winners pastors. lastly, babcock's vice-chancellor is one action guy. he's the sharpest university worker i've ever met. he's social, interacts with students, understands young people and is full of wisdom. if he stays there for 5 more years, the school will gain world-class status. |
theres many out there just ask google. thats where i find anything im looking for |
