esere826: 63) FOCUS (2nd edition)ya you got it. ![]() |
esere826: Thanks dude. I have done my own share of searching for the science behind economic well being (I'm still searching). I've seen loads of short narratives that dont add up. But thankfully, I held on and kept on searching everything. Thankfully, I'm now in a better place than I was before.like am doing today.. thanks esere826 for this post. |
what made you think I was referring to Christianity?.. I didn't have any particular belief whether it is religious or not in mind but I said earlier the aim of this thread is to get you thinking for yourself...whatever it is you choose to believe in..let your belief be WHAT YOU HAVE FOUND TO BE TRUE. You choosed to believe in the Truth as found in the bible not because that's your parents religion or because you live in an area where the majority are Christians but because You have discovered FOR YOURSELF that, that is True. |
Image123: like why do we have malaria? and how do we cure malaria? which of the questions is not in the scope of science? is there not a BELIEF that there is a cure for an incurable like HIV which hasn't yet been discovered?mmh image123, this is trying to derail the thread... Imagine you wake up and it DAWNED on you that you've been deceived, lied to. What will you do? |
kunlejazz: I get ur point bro but the problem isn't really d job, its the fact that most pple over-rate their worth and wouldn't want to start small. I personally know a good number of firms that will consider almost any graduate (one smart enuff though) for the post of trainee engr(with very little pay of course, 30-50k), and that, my brother is a VERY good way to start but here's d question, how many of how almighty 2.1, first class graduates can stoop that low? The problem really is the entry point, getting into the industry and what I stated above shud solve that.whaoo bro. did you just wrote you know firms in Lagos that will accept a graduate for trainee post. To be frank with you am even ready to LEARN WITHOUT PAY,so long as I'll get the experience. here is my e-mail address: stevesam86@gmail.com |
Image123: science BELIEVES that there is an underlying reason, that belief gives them the enthusiasm ..I can perceive where you are coming from. there might be underlying reasons for "things" but it is not in the scope of science to figure out the "why" but "how". so it doesn't necessarily have to be the"believe" that drives them, which put in another way "faith" that gives them the impetus to search. |
the aim of this thread is to get you thinking and using your mind and reasoning abilities to question "things"; like popularly held beliefs, to ascertain for yourself what is "true", rather than swallowing "Everything" told you hook line and sinker. |
Image123: It may yet be possible you know? Faith is what drives science, the belief that things can be better, and have a reason.hmmm Image123, I beg to disagree here. am tempted to ask you if you are a scientist or a science student? do you know how and what drives the scientists? do you know how their minds work? it has never been a belief in anything rather the enthusiasm to know, to understand and to give interpretations to the observable world. |
Image123: It may yet be possible you know? Faith is what drives science, the belief that things can be better, and have a reason. you think so ![]() isn't that supposed to be hope.just asking though |
Image123: what if everything i know is true? how about that possibility?Great!!!!! I wish I could come to the point where i will say with confident that everything I know is true.but right now it is not |
kunlejazz: You're very privileged to be studying Physics but you won't absolutely appreciate it until you get into the real/outside world. I did too so I know what I'm talking about. Just try not to get anything below a 2.2. You can email me so we can discuss at lenght. I'd really like to talk to you more personally. adekunleolusanya@gmail.com. Thankskunle check your mail,i've mailed you. thanks man |
mikkybrick: I hope it's not a Cisco Linksys wireless router shabro. I asked and I was told it cisco linksys wireless router ![]() |
Hello people this is just to get you thinking: What if you wake one fine morning and it dawn on you that you have been lied to, that everything you know, every belief you hold dear is all lies, what do you do? How will you cope with this realization? will you ever forgive those that lied to you, that made you believe those lies all these while? what will be your out look to life? |
