hedonido: You know how the organic, groundswell movement forced the hand of the authorities to ban SARS...and even scared the police enough to abandon their stations and even Area commands to the untameable mob....
Same thing that happened in the Arab Spring.... Even solid 30 years + regimes like Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak gave way. Even the ones that refused to give way led the country into unending crisis (Syria).
The Obidient Movement cannot afford to be 'civil' or 'well behaved', especially when the die is cast. They have to have the critical numbers and the unflinching resolve to scatter everything if the old guard insist on perpetuating the obnoxious status quo. And they do. And they will.
As it stands there are only two options. A free and fair election that reflects the will of the people, or ANARCHY. Or ANARCHY, bears repeating.
Your BAT of a morbid creature isn't even in the reckoning, so the anarchy would be even more potent if that despicable thing tries to use his illicit billions of dollars to do rubbish.
It boils down to Fulani/core North voting for their 'brother'/fellow Muslim, Yoruba Muslims and other very ethnocentric Yorubas voting for their BAT, some Igbos voting for their 'son' Peter Obi, and the rest of NEUTRAL AND OBJECTIVE Nigerians (who are in the vast, obidient majority) making an informed choice, expecting that their votes must count. It is really as simple as that. I am sorry, but obidients can't do nada if (and when) obi loses. All this madness is in the east, no leader in other region(SS) will allow it to detoriate to the level of end SARS, plus you are over estimating obi's horde of hot headed mob. |

Don't know why this crazy people derive some kind of joy in tarnishing the image of Islam and Muslims in general. Must you interview him without a scarf? If he isn't going to be comfortable with you interviewing him with your hair opened, why persist in the first place?
I don't know what hijab did to some people. Is just a piece of cloth. Doesn't bite anybody. So why the noise about something that you won't wear and nobody is forcing you to wear it Just serious inferiority complex. Someone chose to wear, you claim he is being forced, he tells you he is not yet you persist in your hate induced paranoia. |

Gunayo: That's true. I blame Tinubu selfishness for this. My earnest desire is for Obi to win. If 90% of Christians in the north can vote massively for Obi, he will win the next presidential election. More work needs to be done to persuade many that think Obi won't win so the more reason for them to vote Atiku. Sorry, but Obi won't win 90% of whatever votes from northern Nigeria. Atiku will get 100% before Obi gets 30%. It is what it is. I honestly believe this election is between Tinubu and Atiku, but Tinubu needs to come clean and reach out, be sincere and intentional in his movement. A lot of people are wary of him, that's why he is being given the cold shoulder but things may change. |

AmazingELixir:

I wonder what value all these educational interventions have brought to Kano state...has the investment in scholarship training abroad added in anyway to the fortune of Kano state or the country at large.. question for another day.
Amaechi did thesame thing investing in international scholarship while the state tertiary institutions decay away, those sent on these scholarships after conclusion of their programmes decide to stay back in the foreign countries denying their benefactor the required manpower to trigger her growth...Wike came to office abolished the foreign scholarship scheme and instead decided to partner with local universities to train in excess of 1000 medical and other related professions at Pamo university in addition to massive expansion and infrastructural development of the state tertiary institutions...2. Rivers state university as at last year was the best state owned higher institution and top five in the overal ( both state owned and private) now that is strategic thinking. Human capital is not something whose impact you see tomorrow after carrying the act today, in a decade or 2, those people will be established and will be leaders in their fields, they will bring along development and diverse reasoning that will catapult their society forward. You've already started seeing some of them as pilots and doctors in local hospitals and airlines, the future will only get brighter. 2. Using what metric? |

achimendy: What about sacking strangers who are Christians from government schools and hospitals.
What about not constructing a single road in areas dominated by Christians, like sabon gari.
Or is it the incessant killings of Christians by his yandabas (thugs) all in the name of riot/religious crisis during his tenure.
Or is it fighting of igbo people selling drugs in the market because he was jealous of how they where building houses in Kano.
Just to mention a few, kwankwaso can never become president in this country called Nigeria. His type is not needed. Nigerians don't need a tribalist, religious bigot, nepotist and an egoistic human being like him.
He can continue to rule as the president of kano, no wahala, make him enjoy.

If after all these engagements you still think I am not educated, then your case may be worse than I thought. FYI, I had my bachelor's when I was 21. Some of you guys have never left your streets, all of the things you assumed for the north are in all honesty, very applicable to the South too, some of us have had the privilege of traversing the lengths and breadths of the country, we've been to places, done things and seen things. It may surprise you to know that where I live in the north is quite more developed, with more social amenities and infrastructure, good economy than certain places in the south.
