Spalletti: I Was Forced To Play ‘Half Fit’ Osimhen Against Cagliari
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has revealed that Victor Osimhen passed a late fitness test to feature in Monday’s Serie A clash against Cagliari, reports Completesports. Osimhen started the game on the bench and replaced Andre Petagna in the 67th minute. The Nigeria international scored a late equaliser as Napoli battled their hosts to a 1-1 draw. “It was a complicated game for us, Cagliari deserved more. In fact, we deserved something less. We never took the game into our own hands, even though we had more possession. They wanted to play this game here and we wanted to play another,” Spalletti told DAZN after the game. “We have to be happy with the result because it happens to everyone after these Europa League games. We did too little in terms of quality. Don’t say it’s everyone any more, every time it happens in two days we lose 4-5 players. It was good of Osimhen to be available at the last second, he was at risk of not being in the game. “Fabian had a problem, he was in pain, to play more than 20 minutes was a risk. As we saw in Barcelona, with his head broken with the eight points he wanted to come back and play the last 30 minutes. |

13large: He is a clinical goal scorer and chances creator. Just play him as a false 9 and create chances, he will score. He will score 1 goal and you'll be beaten 4-2 because of lack of bodies in midfield and his lack of defensive contribution and you will ask yourself is it worth it? |

Surebaba01: The Rodgers effect There is nothing like Rodgers effect, Iheanacho is just a comfort footballer he is not a fighter, you see how he was walking around when his team needed a victory, I daresay any coach that is changing his gameplan to accommodate Iheanacho is doing so at his own detriment, Rohr and Eguavoen did so and found out. |

oloriooko: What is happening to Nacho in leicester? Why is he not being featured, is he injured or has he dipped in form? You saw when he came in what did he play? the thing is that Iheanacho is massively overrated in this thread, a player that makes a coach tinker with his formation and remove bodies from midfield to accommodate him is not worth it if he's not Messi or Ronaldo |
