TheLoneCitizen:
These are not what makes you a good player, this make you an effective player, because you play with heart and according to your teams system.

Daniel James is an example of a player who runs and puts his body on the line for his team. Is he a quality player?

Almiron is another.

All this put your body on the line and run is something Pogba has never done for Manchester United, yet he remains their best player.

Mbappe doesn't press or sacrifice his body, but is PSG's best player.

Benzema against Chelsea did not have time for running or pressing or rolling in the dirt, but came out with 4 goals and a MOTM.

When did heart and determination become SI Unit of quality, brother?
Jeez

TheLoneCitizen:
Sir, it's not about goals but overall quality.

If I had said Awaziem was our best player, you definitely wouldn't use goal to drive home your point.

It's also not about market value or else Grealish would be the best baller in Britain. An expert like you should also know that the higher up the pitch you play, the higher your market valuation or the bigger the club or your price of purchase.

I'm talking pound for pound. Tell me where Osimhen is better than Iheanacho and I will equally show you attributes where he can't stand up to him.

And mind you, Kelechi's 16 GA this season is not far from Osimhen's 21 in lesser minutes.
Refer back to my previous statement

Subzero47:
Osimhen is our best player at the moment, being a good player is not about threading passes, how willing is he in running for the team, how much is he willing to press the opposition, how willing is he to sacrifice his body to ensure that a goal is scored this is what makes a player in its entirety. Osimhen maybe be lacking in technical skills but his drive and determination sets him above every SE player
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero47: 12:09am On Apr 15, 2022
TheLoneCitizen:
Osimhen can compete in the strike department as our best, but he is not our best player at all.

His goal against Fiorentina has to be one of the most underrated of the weekend.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugY7egHRV0w

But even when he is at his best, Osimehn is still considered a player of potential, not a complete option.

The most common theme whenever any pundit praise Osimhen ends with: he needs to improve in this or get better in that even when he is at his best.
He is 23 and that tells you a lot about his qualities.

Pound for pound, Osimehn is not up to Iheanacho.

Not to take anything from him.
Iheanacho needs to improve more than Osimhen lol, comparing them Osimhen already offers more output than Iheanacho and is already our most valuable player

TheLoneCitizen:
I watched the second half only so I'm talking only from this perspective.

When you mean fluid, I believe you mean he is not lively.
Well that is down to characteristic, not quality.

Daka is an explosive forward, Iheanacho is not.
Osimhen is an explosive forward, Harry Kane is not.

Then comes movement. You can't compare both Daka and Kelechi in this because the Zambian is a poacher and will hang around the shoulder of the last defender waiting for a pass, while Iheanacho is an Advanced Forward/ Shadow striker, he is the one who drops deep to make these very passes.

This is why I didn't call Iheanacho Nigeria's best striker, because he is not. However, overall, there is no better player.

Lazy. This I can't say, but I don't think a coach will play any player who is lazy while the others work their socks off except it is a tactic.

Look at the Osimhen of last season and Osimhen of this year. Completely two different players when it comes to closing down opponents.

So it might be Rodgers' instruction for Iheanacho to maintain position either for counters or to prevent the opposition defence from pushing too high into their territory.

As for stamina I agree, he might not be a 90 minutes player.

Using Salah as a comparison is not fitting, sir.

Because Salah has way different characteristics from a player like Bernando Silva or Kulusevski, but they are just as effective.

If Iheanacho is not our best player, based on quality, who is?
Osimhen is our best player at the moment, being a good player is not about threading passes, how willing is he in running for the team, how much is he willing to press the opposition, how willing is he to sacrifice his body to ensure that a goal is scored this is what makes a player in its entirety. I think the reason why a lot of football stake holders always want home base players in the SE is because they know when their favorite players play they’ll always have a cut in their transfer to clubs outside the country, because the female team have more foreign born players and nobody is even saying anything about that.

The teams style of play sucks big time. They are too individualistic to my liking and don’t know how to the play to the strength for their team mates
Osimhen was poor today tho despite the goal and assist, Napoli have tissue paper in midfield and Mario Rui was at fault for 2 of the goals

Though from a distance, Nwakali's allegations appear to have some substance.

Spanish clubs especially in lower tiers typical have financial issues so it isn't surprising to hear about such underhand tactics. I doubt if Huesca will go to court.
Yeah most of the things he said is true but I have my reservations about some of them

Huesca has debunked the allegations in Nwakali's statement questioning the "veracity" of his claims . The club is also hinting on pursuing litigation.

Would have preferred to hear their side of the story.
They dare not go to court, if one third of what Nwakali said is true then they are done for
