What I mean by complete production line is of two ways:

Firstly, looking at a big manufacturing company then break it into segments whereby each production line can be dealing in "PARTS" as you rightly said then the last production line will be for assembly of the rest of the production line.

Secondly, manufacturing a complete modular production line but with lower output. For instance, producing a complete production line for cassava processing which can produce like 5-10 bags per day.



I think you understand the line of thought I'm driving at.

But most importantly is the less cost to the end users because I think if there are affordable modular complete production lines, many people will have the machine leading to increase production of goods rather than one big production line.

Example: I want to set up a company while carrying out the market survey, I realized that to set up the standard one which can produce over 100sqm of sheets per day, it will cost us nothing less than 1billion Naira because we need about 20 different machines and the cost for per machine is from $50,000 and above.

Then I came across a company in China that are into the same manufacturing of those machines but in a modular version which can produce 8-10sqm per day and the whole production line is around 55-60million Naira in which the highest cost per machine is around $12,000 down to the lowest at around $450

To me I'd prefer (that is if I have the 1billion Naira self) to set up the 10 of those modular factories than setting up just one big one.

What I'm saying in essence is that, with modular production line, more people will be able to afford which will lead to increase in production.

Would the end product of an extension of the production line be sold or it'll need to be transported to some final assemblage point where other parts from other extensions would be brought and then form a complete product of which can be termed as complete to be sold ?

If its a complete production line with segments, then it'll be making "parts" of a [bigger] product.

So if those parts are gonna have end users it makes it even more questionable in that who are these guys and users needing "parts" whereby its obvious the country isn't yet industrialized to have such prospects ?

And if otherwise, as in those parts would be products in its complete sense where by the end users could easily be home owners / families, then there would be a central point of assemblage or else the segments you mean would mean a production line in itself for a complete product.

About financial aspect of it, as I understand that's the major roadblocks for many startup business or company but in my opinion, I won't like this to follow the same way which is the reason I'm emphasizing on LOCAL WAY.
