Sports / I Wish NBBF (Nigeria Basketball Federation Can Retain D'tigress Coach Otis by successinlife: 2:35pm On Oct 11, 2018
'God is good all the time' X 3

I was highly impressed by the performance of d'tigress at the last Women Basketball world cup in Spain., their performance was electrifying, gigantic and spectacular, what a way to create history for the continent of Africa at the world stage, amassing three straight wins and gone up to the quarter finals of the competition, the first of it's kind by any African country on the world stage.
Allow me to say the man feels proud to coach the girls, he threw alot of optimism and energy into the team and that enhances their performance, lest I forget that the man has a Nigerian never say never belief of getting results where it seems impossible. The team defeated Turkey ,Argentina and Greece, these teams were ranked higher than d'tigers and they are also basketball power houses.
The coach is Nigerian because he understand our deep religious/emotional believe of God involvement in sports. All in all, this gentleman has done a very good job and i wish NBBF can extend his contract and let him grow with the girls for good bonding and better performance in the future. People/ sport lovers, What do you think?

God bless Nigeria
Celebrities / Re: See The Way Nigerians Attacked Davido For Slamming AIT, Channels TV by successinlife: 9:30am On Sep 28, 2018
The system is so corrupt, politics is different from entertainment. The common man has no one to cry his injustice to,Davido should see the plights of common man in Nigeria from this,if with 30 billion for the account can't give him and his family political recognition, what did he think of the ordinary man in the society, this is why i like musicians/entertainers/celebrities that talk about societal injustice and vices. He is always about money, love, sex and he turned blind eyes to the plight of the less priviledged, whatever goes around comes around, the table has turned and he is now feeling the heat.He should enjoy the moment and be careful of politicians who care less about human souls.

His dad and mom definitely tried for him. Might not be perfect.

His dad bought him his first car at 16 or so,and even brought him to Nigeria to live with him till he relocated abroad again.
The mum even would personally take him to training sessions.
He only left to his foster parents house, because his new club was far away from home.

How many of us had parents half as supportive as this spoilt child?

I strongly believe if I had anyone to support me in my football aspirations I might have reached a top level considering my ability as a child.

Abeggi.

It is not a burden to invest in the development of your kids in Europe, there is no point comparing what Naija offers and what Europe offer in terms of support to one's child/children welfare, maybe we shall get there someday.I was flogged for playing sports but i am taking delight seeing my wards doing sports now,so it is the society and not the children's fault?

Bro--I don't just post on Nairaland.I make sure i am posting real stories.I will post a proof of what i typed for you and others to read.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/03/05/the-dele-alli-story-how-a-tough-upbringing-inspired-the-rise-of/

read it yourself,he who cooked the story that his father bought him a car at 16 is a big lie,it is not done in Europe. Then that his Dad brought him to Nigeria is another fallacy. The man relocated to US when the boy was just a year old.Read and be sorry for the accomplished youngman.

Am sure she must have quarreled with him many times at his young age to go to school and become responsible like his mate instead of going round the streets playing football... lesson don't let anyone dictate or decide your future....do what u love doing and work on improving it....and does who thought ua stupid and useless will end up celebrating u

This never happened. Pogba was born in France where sports and education goes together, are you surprised that Ngolo Kante is an accountant? Kylian Mbappe had his A levels in applied science.Pogba is well educated,i don't know his field though,i will research.

For your child to be accepted in école de foot française he/she must be a student and will continue on special education that allows supports.

It's so unfortunate same can't be say to our own so called ingrate "Dele ali".

Why are we like this? we should respect Dele Ali's choice.Pogba is abit different compared to Dele Ali,Dele has two choices and nobody influenced him, maybe the only child of his mum and dad's union,Pogba's family migrated to France with his older twin brothers born in Africa, they are also footballers,it is a great impact.Dele i heard was neglected by his Dad,he was raised in a social welfare home, till date there isn't good rapport between him and his parents.Shaping up our children's future is very important, not as how Dele and Baloteli's parent treated them only to resurfaced when the guys made it through football.

France can afford to select another set of 23 versatile players different from those that won this world cup and still win it.Can you believe a country where the sports developmental process works.people should stop quoting the African lineage of those guys because they are all French, born in France save for Steve mandanda.France law is droit du sol and not droit du sang, that is: Nationality by birth and not by blood.

Take a look at these wonderful stars that would have make this squad and still win it for France.

Karim Benzema
Alexander Lacazette
Franc Ribery
Adrian Rabiot
Mamadou Sacko
Anthony Martial
Dimitri Payet
Yohann Pelé
Stephane Ruffier
Kevin Gameiro
laurent Kolsielny
Tiemoue Bakayoko
Kurt Zouma
Eliaquim mangala
morgan Schneidelin
Lucas Digne
Geoffrey Kondogbia
Kingsley Coman
Jean Kevin-Augustin
Aymeric Laporte
mathieu Debuchy
Layvin Kurzawa
George paul Ntep
Bafetimbi Gomis
Wissam ben Yedder
Benoit Costin

These are just the ones i can remember for now,we can see that France has solid substitute bench in Russia, players are produced easily because of a system that works,a master-planed developmental programme.

Leave Mbappe issue out,he has Cameroon & Algerian origin, the father seek asylum as a Nigerian because Nigerians don't travel much then,it is easier to be granted asylum as a Nigerian because Nigerians have very few population in France then, some says his dad has a Nigerian mum,i am not sure of that.Mbappe is a French, the issue of either Cameroonian or Nigerian doesn't hold water,he can aswell claim to be Algerian, the land of his mother.
