This is not the case. Igbos'want to leave with the Eastern Nigeria created by Lord Lugard because they were in charge then and oppressing the minorities. Unfortunately the minorities are wiser today and prefer far away oppressors Hausa Fulani and Yoruba to a local oppressor.
Igbos do not want the Nigeria created by Lord Lugard but they want Eastern Nigeria created by Lugard. They will be granted independence any day they agree they want just the five states in the east and by plebiscite any other people that prefer being in same country with them which I am so sure no one wants any association with the igbos.

The armed group alleged that clerics were working with politicians to commit crimes in the region.

One of the gunmen in the 2 minutes, 48 seconds video made inside an unknown forest said, “We are the Sea Masters Volunteer Force. We are determined to sanitise the eastern Nigeria and to end all radical Islamists, thereby destroying their Islamisation agenda.
"We salute all the volunteer forces in the region: the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, the Avengers, Biafra National Guard, Avier Vipers, the Ekumeku Warriors, Biafran Nations League, Eastern Security Network. We greet all volunteers fighting. We advise all freedom fighters to behave well. Let there be no rancour among us.

No fewer than three persons were feared dead and many others injured in an explosion that occurred in Kabba, Kogi State late Wednesday.

Sources told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident occurred at a beer parlour around Lewu Junction in Kabba town.

The source said that the incident occurred at about 9.45pm when people were making merry in the beer parlour.

“I heard a loud sound not far from where I was and as I went there, I saw three bodies while the injured were taken to the hospital.

The injured were taken to St. John’s General Hospital in Kabba for medical attention,” the source explained.

Also a commercial motorcycle rider, who identified himself as Dele, said: “it was a bomb blast because the sound was so devastating as people died and several others were injured.

“I saw how the victims were picked and taken to the hospital by security personnel in Kabba,” Dele said.

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi, Mr Edward Egbuka, however, told NAN that reports indicated that it was a gas explosion and not a bomb blast.

Egbuka said police operatives were on top of the situation and that he would give more details on the explosion after investigations.

Similar attacks were recorded in Taraba State last month. The Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) later claimed responsibility. (NAN)
