Politics / Re: Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road: Ohanaeze Denounces Peter Obi's Vilification Of Umahi by sugeMPee: 11:52am On May 07
Where was the group when Soludo started puncturing holes in Peter Obi's campaign at a crucial time in the history of Nigeria when a new dawn was about to break for the igbo people ? That was a battle the Ohaneze guys should have taken up for all the good that it's worth but they looked away.....

Regionalism is better. People are more united that way by tribes, tongue, and culture and it helps to foster regional nationalism and healthy competition between the regions.

If regionalism as posited by you will be sound because people are united by culture , tribes and to give, the Yorubas in Kogi who will find themselves in the northern region, how will they fare?
Politics / Re: Major General VT Okoro Traces Chief Sergeant Major CSM To Ibadan by sugeMPee: 7:10pm On Aug 29, 2023
I totally disagree with some of your assumptions. They don't hate you. I can tell you for a fact. The problem is "you will need to tell yourselves the truth". For instance I like you , through and through, with all my being, but will you even bother to tell yourself the truth?

The post made showed that Yorubas don't hate Igbos, if not, the Igbo man won't trace the Yoruba man.

Let's look at the Peter Obi's election you mentioned, the first person to make a major political move in favor of Obi was Doyin Okupe , even though it was tagged the wrong name recently. The second major political pronouncement for Peter was the Afenifere leader and the man stood behind Obi till date. At that point, only young people of the eastern estraction reckoned with Peter and non of the elite and leaders will speak openly for him. Then the much hated Obasanjo stood up and started writing letters as usual in favor of Obi. He even started national consultations for the purpose. But there then seems to be a demon right down in the East pushing the political elite to start speaking against Obi. I almost wept at those instances.

Then notably too is that we are too spontaneous. We could not keep our actions in our belly and only act to suprise our opponents. An Igbo guy even boasted of procuring 2000 pieces of drones to monitor election. Am not sure he thought it through before he spoke. We neglect building bridges . The only easterner trying to build bridge was Obi but he only had one vote. People who should be silent until the victory is won were busy telling Lagosians that Lagos is a no man's land. I doubt if anyone can say that about Kano, Kaduna, Enugu, port harcourt etc. We failed to stoop to conquer and we are paying dearly for that now ....but what do I know....

Racoon:
Here is Major General Okoro humbling himself to seek our his Yoruba Company Sergeant Major( CSM) in recognition of the role he helped to play in shaping his life as a young officer.

MKO June-12 struggle was championed by brave Igbos like the late R.Adr Ndubuisi Kanu, Chris Anyawu alongside Abraham Adesanya, Pa Adekunle Ajasin though some Igbos like Aurthur Nzeribe worked against it. By then, Tinubu have fled abroad when his deal for Abacha to make him the civilian administrator of Lagos fell through. Me I follow fought for the mandate too. Now Peter Obi was condemned for a well know man with dirty past because of parochial politics.

Allen Onyema made Air Peace biggest air fleets available for freighting of Covid-19 consumables and logistics but they hated and condemned him over a phantom financial fraud in the US. Seunmsg my friend was one of the leading champion then but today defending a grossly publicised multiple scandals involving Tinubu.

Innocent Motors versus GTB scandal is still fresh in our memory. The Yoruba man that was making malicious claim that his company alleged bought faulty vehicles from Innoson motors have to delete his FB account when confronted over his false claims. They hate us but we continue to show the love.
Being happiness is a personal virtue and contagious
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Ngos Job Adverts" Na Wash " by sugeMPee: 2:30pm On Sep 01, 2022
I am reading this while sitting in a send forth ceremony for 3 members of staff in the NGO where I work. One joined in 2016 through an internship program but replication to US, the second came in on contract and his contract expired after the closure of the project, the third person is a teenager who came for a 3 month internship program. Don't ever listen to the lies that NGO job advertisement are fake. What ever you believe is what you will get. NYSC, internship and volunteering are ways to join an NGO. It's always funny when Corp members come and ask if "we pay Corp members" and I am always eager to tell them "no" even though we pay handsomely with plenty of benefits. All staff entitlement are available for interns, volunteers and Corp members, but we don't want people who feel entitled and who only want to join because of money etc.

Calmly following .

Decent writing!
Hope the @op won't leave us midway.

ejudee:
As promised earlier here, I am here to drop it.

Slumped on the bed, Sola has been resisting the urge to cry her eyes out. She wondered why everything else is working out for her besides relationship. In less than a year, she has had to walk out of three relationships. This recent one with Okemute was more painful, she should have known better, she thought to herself.
‘God, the red flags were so glaring!!!!’ She screamed, throwing everything in sight. Her pain was more of how she stupidly tolerated his shit than the heartbreak.
Their meeting was the most magical yet unexpected. Okemute was not exactly the kind of man with a jaw-dropping look but there was something special about his demeanor. He smiled a lot and looked into her eyes while he gave details on the launch of his new cigar into the market and how he wanted the ad.

Lynette Sola, a badass copywriter with Flamingo, an advertising firm always meet with clients on a daily basis as the creative department is the life engine of any advertising firm. She needs to understand what clients want from an ad campaign, what is its intent and the target audience.
Flamingo would usually advise her clientele to set their metrics before getting down to the creative process. She never works in isolation. She works with other copywriters, art directors, designers, production artists, web designers, and creative directors.

On their first meeting, Okemute had eyes only for her and he was intrigued by how well she interpreted his campaign ideas. She knew she got his attention and most importantly, a client for the firm. She did not plan to fall in love with him or so she thought.
Flipping through her diary which she began writing at the age of twelve, she got teary-eyed. This ritual has kept her grounded and reminded her of what she wanted out of life.

March 24
Dear Diary, I just saw my period. The very first!!! I guess I am among the early comers to this menstruation thing. Funny thing is we were taught about it in primary six but I never understood it. and now in JSS 1 it came!. She read, as she cringed at how poor her writing was. No proper punctuations. Well, it gave her something to laugh about.
Picking a pen, she made to correct what she had written years ago but decided against it. She continued reading.

Religion / Re: Why Do RCCG Failed To Recognized Pa Akindayomi Josiah by sugeMPee: 10:07am On Jan 05, 2020
To start with, it's not true that RCCG failed to recognize Pa Akindayomi.
Secondly, having medical, education or similar institutions in his home town will be a very good thing - I agree with you totally --but not in making it look like RCCG members don't know the Founder.

It's a deliberate effort to shift a bit a way of serving names and that's why both the serving Go and the founder don't have anything named after them. If you start it, even people who donate money to the church will be asking for things and places to be named after them.

You can't be an RCCG member (not just come and go member) without passing through the believers class. The believers class teaches the histroy of the RCCG and 80% of its content is on how the church started which is mostly about the life and times of PA Akindayomi. Every quarter, elders are suppose to move from parish to parish to teach what they call "doctrinary teachings " which is supposed to acquaint members with the history of the church and what it believes in. Unfortunately, the elders might not be carrying out this exercise and where it is done, people use the opportunity to ask childish questions that does not have any bearing on real issues such as you have mentioned.

Calenders, handbands etc are not made by RCCG, they are only made by people like you and me just to sell on camp ground and make money and so RCCG can determine what it contains etc but even at that, entering some RCCG members' house i still see Baba Akindayomi and the present Go on calenders.

But again I still agree that there can be something like a founder's day or do something in his honor.

Romance / Re: Qualities Of A Healthy Relationship! by sugeMPee: 5:53pm On Apr 25, 2016
Olasco93:
Communication
Communication is key. It is one of the most important qualities a healthy relationship. However, not everyone knows how to communicate properly... or even communicate at all. Happy and healthy couples have this game down. They vocalize their love for one another, saying “I love you” often and offering compliments. They also discuss the bad instead of sweeping issues under the rug.
In order to move forward and grow, you two need to be able to truly talk about your feelings. No matter how awkward or uncomfortable it feels, it will make for a long-lasting and fulfilling relationship.
.
Quality Time, Not Quantity
It’s all about quality over quantity. It doesn’t matter how much time you and your partner spend together. The most important part is about the quality of this time. There’s a huge difference between having dinner at a table while talking about your day at work, versus having dinner while sitting on a couch watching the latest episode of Project Fame. It’s fine to zone out together and enjoy distractions, but it’s crucial to make sure you two are still engaging and spending quality time together to maintain a deep connection.
.
Appreciation
Often, we forget to let other people in our lives know that we appreciate them. We think it, but we don't remember to show it. This occurs in our romantic relationships as well. Show your special someone that you love him or her. This could be done with words, cards, flowers, acts of kindness, or more. Okay, maybe not every day, but you get the point.Appreciation Often, we forget to let other people in our lives know that we appreciate them. We think it, but we don't remember to show it. This occurs in our romantic relationships as well. Show your special someone that you love him or her.

.
No Comparisons
The grass always seem to be greener on the other side. Or even if it is, it might not be the kind of grass you would like. We often compare our lives to those of others — what jobs people have, their homes, their clothes. And with the help of social media, we tend to compare our relationships as well. But the happiest of couples don’t look to see what the grass looks like on the other side. They are happy with the view out their own front door...

Politics / Drop Your Support For Our Troops In Bornu by sugeMPee: 11:58pm On Sep 07, 2014
the ruling party, the opposition, muslim, christian or Trad worshipers; hausa , Yoruba or igbo: the Nigeria military owe us the responsibility of securing our territorial integrity and more. To do this, many things has to be in place for effective execution of action plans against our common enemies. Important among these is motivation......
Let's stop acting the script of boko haram and chorusing the symphony of discord bn played by our enemies.
Its high time we appreciate the men that stand in the rain all through the night and sun all through the day just to ensure that we won't have to cry come next morning. They don't look like they should and might not even be paid as they should but the fact that the lot had fallen on them to go for us should mean alot to us.
I can't even imaging what it is to be killed or watch a colleague been killed.....it is a daily load of fear and agony.....
Even the music our government composed to encourage them on nta and AIT sound so WACK and less encouraging .our comments on social media made it worse.
I wonder what it will cost Nigeria to bring the best to sing for our soldiers....and appreciate them for laying down their lives for a common good.

Pls drop a line down here for our men and women facing boko haram.......
Your love might be all the motivation needed.
Pls , let every one with negative comment not even bother to wait here.....thanks
