GloriousGbola: i am embarassed at this man
nigerias power network goes back to the 60s. its issue is that it has not been upgraded over the years
this is a question of capital investment. and it will not be cheap
what makes the mans talk even more stupid is that by decentralizing power generation, the fg has been able to reduce pressure on the aging transmission network
what remains is for states like lagos, fct, ogun,ph to decouple from the nigerias transmission network and rely on internally generated power
for this to happen we need DEREGULATION in the power sector
that is the real issue. no one will invest in a power sector with prices fixed below true market rates
power in nigeria is first and foremost a cash issue brought about by decades of unsustainable power subsidies The power sector has been deregulated, with the state now having full authority to generate, transmit and distribute electricity independent of the FG. |

emkz: The problem is not generation but wheeling capacity.
The grid system is old and inefficient which leads to frequent system collapses.
In my view, we need massive capital investments in a new grid system. As much as possible, we need to decentralized the grid. The problem is everything from sourcing the energy source, generation transmission, distribution, governance and consumption. Let first start with having a proper minister of electricity and power that can understand what he is learning from Egypt |

Today in other to protect a Dead textil industry that would never be competitive we are killing a potential 100 billion dollars per year garment industry.. Making same mistake again
In 50years or more we would then remember the garment industries That is how they said that the oil refinery was gone until Dangote shamed the useless government into allegedly repairing the existing refineries that don't workNigeria'sia problem is the kind of government we select. The real issue is that the Nigerian elite and government have built importation infrastructures that benefit cheap imports from China. What has the Chinese got that Nigeria hasn't got in abundance? 1. Cheap semi-skill and skilled labour is abundant. 2. Electricity - Any country that has the six largest gas reserves in the world, abundant hydro reserve, wind and solar energy, doesn't have an electricity problem but a kleptocratic governmental problem, 3. Abundant oil and gas reserves mean that developing the chemicals and dye shouldn't be a problem. Nigeria already has 8 petrochemical plants from Eleme to Dangote petrol chemical. 4. Starch, Nigeria, is the largest cassava producer in the world. 5. Synthetic fibre - The country has eight chemical plants. 6. Nigeria still boasts domestic cotton farms. Nigeria lack the leadership or culture to be industrialised due to the calibre of leadership that emanates from Nigerians. |

femisplash: Nigeria will be remembered in the World's history as the most gracious of human kindness, when you help rescue the most vulnerable kids under the worst of living conditions, it's like breathing a life into a dust, giving them a new promise of life. Nigeria has always been voting at the UN for peace in Gaza as well as withdrawal of Russian's troops in Ukraine. We do not only vote but also demonstrates the vote in the most practicable manner. We might not have brought the kids on our soil but the financial commitments we offer will prove much as effective. Donald Trump came with that kind of an aura but he's fast losing it because he's being too impulsive. The honeymoon is over, now reality stares at him. He's being more of a talker than a doer. Deadlines have failed over and over again, ceasefire deals are being extended days into weeks and weeks into months. nedekid: Budget deficit? All I see here is personal interest. People in the highest positions have invested heavily in Malta and all sorts of places, they have invested in infrastructure for importation. It is not in their best interest for prices to reduce as the margin they make is eroded. If dangote is selling at low price, reducing his price at will and making it unpredictable, it makes it risky for legacy importers to import product as they will get their hards burnt. This means they have to find other means to push prices up hence the likely suspension of crude in naira. Which people do you think have the power to influence the suspension? If you know you know. Tinubu and ex-military (Owners of Nigeria ) behind this Nigeria is in serious problem. |

What kind of course is following some African I don't just understand.
Everyone is running toward independence and sovereignty, this one is selling is country to colonialism and slavery.
The cancelation of USAID was a chance for many countries to take their destinies in their hands.
Also it is a very obvious and popular fact that American military does not give you peace, in fact they give you the opposite, your country will remain in turmoil for as long as you still have minerals, they will make sure of it.
You will loose control of you government, your country, your sovereignty.
I guess the Congolese are adicted to being slaves and have missed it that freedom and independence is torture to them. The government of DR Congo has no power beyond Kinshasha. The country is a failed state, and the leader wants to continue stealing. A deal between the USA and DR Congo's useless leader will ensure that they will continue with business as usual. |

Fix your country. African people will blame the West for Neo-colonisation and exploitation. The truth is that Africans lack the culture or organisation to develop their countries without the support of the West or Asia. The best solution for DR Congo is colonisation. The country cannot develop on its own. |

They came for the event with their voters cards, they were told to confirm their voter registration status, and then shown a place to sign their signatures, then await further instructions.
Many of them signed thinking it was a requirement for the empowerment program, not knowing they were signing a petition to recall their senator.
Media people arrived at the event and asked them if they were aware they were signing a petition to recall Natasha. They denied knowledge of such, and that was when it dawned on them that they had been scammed.

We have what is called Strength, Weakness, Opportunities Triangle. Chief Louis Philip Ojukwu the father of Ikemba of Nnewi, an accomplished businessman at very early age built the Headquarters of his trading business in Apapa Port Complex (Nnewi Building). He could have done that at ABONEMA port in Portharcourt or Warri or Sapele . DANGOTE will build his business where international trade and coordination would be easy for him.
BUA is already in AkwaIbom. APM has terminal at Onne Port.
You look at the Markets and mobility. Trades along Economic Community of Central Africa States (ECCAS) favour Calabar and AkwaIbom ports. Local Intra regional business favours Portharcourt port.
Trades and Shipping along Lagos ports, Cotonou port, Lome port, GHANA Seaports, Cote D'Ivoire ports and ECOWAS states favour Western ports. Why would an intelligent man respond to an unintelligent person? I rest my case, I have nothing to say to your unintelligent waffle. |
