CrimeRe: UK Based Nigerian Man Given Life Sentence For Beating Wife To Death by sulaak(m): 3:35pm On May 15, 2024
Stop Japa

You have no reason to leave Nigeria if you are over 30 and have a family and career.

Nigeria's skills, education and training are not recognised in the frustration of doing low-skilled and mundane tasks, which will have an impact on your mental well-being and lead to a mental breakdown. A trained civil engineer working in Tesco (stacking shelves) with a wife cheating on him has nothing to lose.

Stay in Nigeria and fight for your country.

The family arrived in the UK from Nigeria in 2022 but clashed over money issues as well as the alleged affairs.

Abodunde was a trained civil engineer but had been unable to find work in the sector since relocating here and took shifts at supermarkets and DIY stores.

Following his arrest for murder, he told police he had acted in self-defence, saying: 'My wife has subjected me to physical abuse for a number of years.

'On November 28, we got into an argument. She ran at me with a knife. I grabbed the knife and cut my hand. I was defending myself.'

That is the only thing that will work in Nigeria,

pragmatic power will create another APC, political power without ideals. One day PO will be president of Nigeria and Nigeria will regret it.

You dont need a university to do an IT related course, you dont need a University to be a cyber security expert, nobody mentioned a University or 4 years. You manufactured that information in your brain, stop pushing down informations you manufactured in your head down our throats.

Its people like you who spread fake news.
Where in this reporr is there any statement of a university degree or a 4 year course.

People do 6 months course and get their certifications.
How many months does it take to get a CCNA, CCNP and co? Get yourself enlightened and stop shaming your self, your ignorance is becoming to evident
University is overrated in today's world. Nigerian state should prioritise primary and secondary education only. If you can afford a University education, then pay for it.

The universities can be privatised, sold or closed down.

There was no subsidy removal. Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria.

When was DSC handed over to Nigerians?

DSC was left idle by the Nigerian government, then privatised by Atiku in his role as Chairman of the National Economic Council and head of the National Council on Privatization, overseeing the sale of hundreds of loss-making and poorly managed public enterprises alongside Nasir El Rufai and handed DSC to an Indian organisation that renamed DSC to Premier Steel and ran the steel plan to the ground.

sulaak:
A leader makes a tough decision that nobody wants to take, and that decision might hurt Nigeria in the short term, but in the long term, it might save Nigeria. Nigeria barely earns $12 billion per annum, and the majority of that fund is wasted on importing a product that we should be producing(refined oil)

Why are the refineries still not working?
Why can't the country export more crude oil?

In 2012, GEJ should have removed oil subsidies and invested in fixing the refineries, but GEJ was never a leader. The consequence is that Tinubu must now make that tough decision, but it also seems that Tinubu is less of a leader than GEJ. The consequence is being kicked down the road.
Elusive001:
You lie.

Tinubu didn't take any tough decision. It was senseless
He copied PO but didn't copy well. This is like the coastal road we are shouting that it is not a priority now. It's just like the tax he is imposing everywhere. There was no iota of plan to contain tye subsidy removal like functional refineries and good business atmosphere to encourage production. It seems that he was told that PO mentioned subsidy removal and fiam he said it without any template.
Can you read? Where did I say Tinunu made the tough decision? I said that Tinubu must make tough decisions, but he is not a leader. You are so up Peter Obi's backside that you cannot read well or reason for yourself.

Before subsidy removal fuel was around 165-200.... After subsidy removal fuel price jumped to 650-700, inflation skyrocketed and naira depreciated massively.

Now, fuel price is over N800-1200, the government claims there's no subsidy yet the IMF is screaming that Nigerian government is paying subsidy that will ensure there's zero infrastructural, health and educational development in Nigeria for the next 1-3 years

Dear Nigerians, is IMF the enemy of Nigeria or is Tinubu and his cabal of incompetent morons just running Nigeria aground?

Helinues and all other government propaganda zombiés on Nairaland please come and defend your government wage and explain this anomaly
The IMF is not the enemy. Compare the landing cost to the cost at the pump, and you will know that Nigeria's enemy is the Tinubu government.

SoNature:
I'd like to think that we Nigerians either like to deceive ourselves or we are just ignorant of what leadership is. In truth, leadership is NOT all about choosing between good and evil. No!

Think of a leader as a civilian in charge of security operatives chasing after one dangerous terrorist who has masterminded the killing of hundreds in the past. This terrorist runs into a building full of people just to escape from security operatives.

The leader knows that if he tells the security agents to go into the building to arrest the man, he will waste all of them and escape because he's a specialist in doing that. Instead, he tells them to throw bombs into the building, killing the terrorist and other innocent people.

The leader knows that if he keeps that terrorist alive, he will kill more. So, it's better to sacrifice just 5 - 10 innocent people in place of hundreds. That's something these leaders face every now and then.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala told Jonathan to remove the petrol subsidy in 2012. She took hours to convince Jonathan. Jonathan took weeks to think about it but wasn't convinced. Considering that his options were limited, Jonathan had to remove it anyways. And it backfired! It nearly led to a countrywide protest - a protester even died at Ojota! That's what it means to be a leader.

So, sometimes, we have to pity our leaders. We don't have access to the information they have. We don't know what they go through at night for making certain decisions. But, I like the way Buhari put it, "You cannot satisfy everyone. Just make a decision that will enable you to sleep at night."

If you read up to this point, my point is, leadership is hard!
A leader makes a tough decision that nobody wants to take, and that decision might hurt Nigeria in the short term, but in the long term, it might save Nigeria. Nigeria barely earns $12 billion per annum, and the majority of that fund is wasted on importing a product that we should be producing(refined oil)

It was Indian's that took over Ajaocuta and DSC. Indian destroyed the UK steel industry. What Indians do , is use the steel mill to import their own steel from Indian's .

New communities will also spring up along the coasts leading to more economic activities and depopulation of already overpopulated internal urban and rural areas. How about travel time reduction? Why build alternative roads when the main road is in a terrible state? What you are saying the alternative road ends up being the main road.

The best hero of our nation. He brought the idea to slash excess spending of NASS, so his death could be suspecious considering the greedy nature of NASS members. He gave Armnesty to Niger Delta militants, the first to actually publicised his Agenda and actually stood by it.

Seems to me like Nigeria has an evil spirit to take away "better thing" from them. Somehow validates the common adage "better thing no dey last".
Giving amnesty to militants is an act of failure and an admission that Nigeria is a failed state. Today the Militants now control the oil wells. It was under his government that the leader of Boko Haram was killed.

1. Era of PDP result writing favoured OBJ grin

2. Tribal voting did not start today, however it seems Tinubu and his minions have proliferated it, as we can see....

In 1999, all Yoruba voted for Olu Falae, from 2003-2015, all Northerners voted for Buhari head on...

3. It seems SS/SE vote more of competent candidates rather than tribal, as we can see votes to Obasanjo etc..

4. So no core SW gave GEJ 70% 😂😂😂😂
The majority of Igbos voted for PO

The Igbos had an unfair choice between OBJ and Falae and selected OBJ

Igbo only voted for Atiku because PO was his vice president.

We are all tribal inclined, one Nigeria is a fallacy and a joke.

Forget about coal; Western financial institutions will not provide loans for a new coal power station due to the ESG and climate change.
