@Ystranger, now I know the message u re passing across, no one is fighting any tribe issue here but concerned about the wicked way they took the life of this promising innocent yoyngman. For ur information the Guy we re talking about is Ibo and I am Yoruba, if he were to be an Hausa Guy I will feel the same way too. I am bothered cos I served in Bauchi state when the riot of this Boko haram first started, the pain is " what if I was murdered like AIK when I was serving in Bauchi too, what will become of my parent, my expectant wife, siblings, in laws, friends and family at large?" Please let's have conscience in everything we do and be our brothers keeper irrespective of his tribe, religion and colour.
Politics / Re: Rest In Peace (ukeoma Aikfavour) by sunky644(m): 2:56pm On Apr 22, 2011
@all, the acclaimed church( House on the Rock Church, Ojuelegba, Lagos ) member said, they tried his no several times and a Hausa guy( one of the rioters) later picked it up, rained curses at the caller in Hausa language and finally told him that they just killed the owner of the phone. AIK was the bestman in one of the weddings that took place in his church last year, the bride gave this Guy the information that it's confirmed. Anybody that wants to hear the full story should just endeavour to read the comments in lindaikeji's . Still sad cos a very close friend in Canada told me this Guy's major cause in this country is sensitising the youth that there is hope for this country, and he ended up laying up his life with his utmost yearning unachieved.
Politics / Re: Rest In Peace (ukeoma Aikfavour) by sunky644(m): 2:35pm On Apr 22, 2011
@mobinga, u don't have to be rude because you are angry. Check my profile, I don't just open thread on nairaland. A was (lindaikeji..com) and confirm it by reading people's comments. As said by a Guy who claimed to be his church member said " they last heard from him when he was running to the police station for refuge but the parents later confirmed that an eyewitness said the rioters threatened to burn the police station if they fail to release him and his three colleagues to them". Creating a thread about his murder has gotten nothing to add to my bank account or CV. Above all, I believe he will be resting peacefully with the Lord as I can from his Facebook wall that he is a true born again and well trained child of God. AIK, MAY YOUR REST IN PEACE,

@tppv, thanks somuch, felt realy bad when I saw d post on my friend's wall. From the write-ups on his wall you need no prophet to tell you that this is an extraordinary Guy with a strong will. Almost ran mad when I heard d case of Obinna too, imagine a Guy with such a bright future already done with post graduate in UK only to get himself killed by this animals in human skin just because he wants to observe this meaningless NYSC. Tell me the hope of the parents who paid through their noses to give their sons Good education. its terribly bad and disheartening, the only thing that can Console us a bit is to really see that the change they died for truly come to pass. RIP all our great guys that lost their lives in the post election violence in the north.
Politics / Re: The Murder Of Obinna Okpokiri by sunky644(m): 7:01am On Apr 22, 2011
I am still 100% buried in the sober reflection mood of the murder of Ukeoma Aikfavour, I never knew another goodlooking promising youngman was also murdered in the most brutal way one can think of. This northerners are animals, for God's sake ignorance and illiteracy is no defense. Even if their religion is teaching them something different WHERE IS THERE CONSCIENCE. May the soul of OBI and others rest in peace.
Politics / Rest In Peace (ukeoma Aikfavour) by sunky644(m): 4:47am On Apr 22, 2011
This true Nigerian was murdered by CPC supporters. Check his lastwords on his Facebook wall with the name Ukeoma Aikfavour. He is a Corp member serving in the north, was first threatened for refusing underaged voters and also the second time for refusing mass thumb printing of the remaining ballot papers. The police rescued him from the hands of this supporters during the election but was later killed by the rioters after the election. MAY YOUR GENTLE SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE, A true child of God and extraordinary citizen of Nigeria. I pray we see the change you laid up your life for.

@cuddlemi, it has to be strictly from Alagbon in Lagos
@eky2, OK but u ve not answered if ur program is research based, if it is, you must get a Supervisor before the faculty can recommend your admission to the School of Graduate Studies. Still, I advice you tell them to consider you for Winter term, MUN is very slow in application processing. You can FAX other document but like our Oga(Ayoalade) said, you ve to use courier to send your transcript, just go to your school, give them d MUN grad school address and collect it then send thru maybe fedex or dhl, d cost is between 9-12k naira. Again, don't enclose your transcript with any other document for dat was why my application was also rejected in KTH, Sweden. Still here for you, one love,
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada by sunky644(m): 8:06am On Apr 11, 2011
@eky102, what's the program you applied for? March 1 is the application deadline for almost all programs so I don't know how you still manage to apply for Fall semester. As for your document, send your original transcript alone with your university seal on it and then send certified photocopies of other accompanying document. If your Master program is research based, I urge you to apply for winter(beginning classes in January ). I am talking from experience, I applied to MUN for fall semester but was denied cos I couldn't get a Project Supervisor ontime, wish you all the best in your application, will be ready to answer any other question you have.

@suxes2005, i have a problem with the Payslip, i work in a private firm and we are not paid with payslip but rather by hand, and atimes get percentage from project executed. In a case like how do i solve the problem of the payslip? is a letter from the CEO with the company seal on it enough to prove that i work with the company?
@ayoalade, i can see you commented to my question here, but i cant see the comment, maybe you post it again.

@webstradamus and gel03, if at this stage you ve not secured a supervisor to help follow up on your application, then I pray you receive God's mercy to succeed in this. Goodluck to you guys, I think I will have to prepare for GRE and IELTS and then try some US universities for Masters, then maybe start the Canada PR federal skilled worker class, one suppose click sha.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada by sunky644(m): 8:38pm On Mar 23, 2011
@webstradamus, I applied for M.Sc in Biochemistry, I was informed by my Dept Secretary. Actually my mistake was that I applied without securing a supervisor, the best thing is to get a supervisor before applying and to be frank "getting a supervisor is not easy" I contacted not less than 20 Professors, some refused to reply while others claimed they dont have space in their lab or they dont have funding. I contacted the President of the Graduate school association who told the Professors find it difficult to pick international student without outstanding academic qualification.
@mikkyangel, pls contact me on sunky644@gmail.com, I need full information about this agent you are talking about, thanks waiting to hear from you soonest.

@suxes2005, its well stated there. She's a Food Supervisor in the Boarding house section of a secondary school, in charge of the supervision of the cooking and service. I ve checked the website and I am very familiar with it, infact I ve gone as far as taking eligibility test on the website as well as with some immigration attorney and agents. They all confirmed our eligibility and they even keep disturbing to use them as our Attorney and Representative. We both have our specialisation in the NOC list also.

I am applying for the Canada Federal Skilled Worker Class and I need advice from
1. Knowledgable Nlander.
2. Successful applicants.
3. Good Nigerians in Canada with good understanding of immigration stuffs.
I graduated 2yrs ago while my wife graduated 3years ago. I have 6months experience as a Program officer of a private NGO and 1year with a private Health-based company as the Project Manager while my wife has 2years experience as Food Supervisor in the Boarding house section of a secondary school. I have Bachelor degree in Biochemistry while she has a Bachelor degree in Food science as well as an Associate member of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria and she is doing her Post-graduate course in Food Science(her field). She scored 82 in Toefl and I am preparing for IELTS but optimistic of scoring at least 6.5. We are expecting a baby soonest in say 2months time and will like to travel with the baby if successful.
My question is; between me and my wife who should be the Principal Applicant?
Other advice and tips on successful application will be appreciated.
NB. We are doing it ourself no agent.

@obietrix, MUN just gave me a negative reply too. Pls tell us institutions that accept 2:2 for Post-graduate, whatever it is maybe diploma or qualifying program.
@delta, thanks for that info, but unfortunately my last two years is what brought me down, cos one victimisation I faced with a lecturer most especially my final year.
I will be the happiest man on earth if I can just get this opportunity of studying in Canada to proof my worth and tell this wicked ones I am not "olodo". I am thinking of writing GRE whether it will brighten my chances. No be say person no sabi book but this wicked lecturers that act like Thin god can be destructive.

@Ayoalade, its Advanced Diploma in Food Safety, I read Biochemistry, food safety is an aspect of Nutritional Biochemistry which is actually the aspect I want to be specialised and the aspect I did my undergraduate research project. I hope it will not sound somehow if my wife is accompanying me to Canada when i'm having a 1year study permit or me accompanying her with her 4years study permit. Also, as for Birth Certificate, mine is from the private hospital I was born which has been with me since the early 80s, hope its tenable or I have to get from the local government or from National Population Commission?
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada by sunky644(m): 11:01pm On Mar 16, 2011
@Ayoalade, thanks so much you ve been so helpful in this thread and I believe it's a challenge to we intending immigrants. Thanks for your advice, I ve decided to 4get the work permit runs thru belvic. Am expecting response from the Advanced Diploma Program applied for, I hope and pray I'm admitted for the program, it's a 1year program. Pls will I not be denied VISA if my wife is accompanying me to canada cos I will be applying for 1year study visa? Also I hope a 28year old with a bachelor degree from nigeria and now applied for another bachelor degree in canada will not be denied VISA on age ground or what ground?

Anybody in the house with Samsung Galaxy S, precisely T959 or Tab (all using the android tech), be informed not to joke with your code, part of the phone's security is that it locks every 4months and the only thing that unlocks it is the code. Its a lovely fone and I enjoy it real good.

Hi Steve, you are doing a good job, you wunt believe it I planned starting a thread here with the title "Nigerians in Malaysia, share your experience" before I saw yours and decided to read thru. Actually, I am thinking of going there for a Masters degree in any institution affiliated with a UK or US university since my CGPA is dulling me for the Masters in Canada. Please, can u help with such schools that ve Masters Program in Biochemistry related course or Public Health. The tuition is not a problem so far it is not more than $3000 a the standard of education is world class and most importantly if schooling there is devoid of victimization ( I mean if I am serious can I be assured of making a Ph.D grade) and then use it to secure admission for the Ph.D in North America. Thanks waiting for a meaningful contribution.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada by sunky644(m): 6:42pm On Mar 04, 2011
@lilema, yes u can use Gtbank visacard, I used it for 4 different applications and it worked just make sure its visacard and not mastercard cos I once tried the mastercard and it didnt but am not sure if they ve corrected the mastercard problem. You will fund your visacard with USD and you can use to pay your application fee in CAD. I paid for 80CAD and 84USD was deducted from my visacard. I guess you will need to have a domiciliary account with them to get the visacard. Hope this info helps?

@ayoalade, you ve been very helpful in this thread and God will surely reward you abundantly. Belvic global ventures is the name of the agent, he will be the one to secure job for me in quebec or vancouver. Betterstill, if you know any agent in Nigeria who is a canada immigration consultant i wunt mind as i strongly believe you will surely furnish me with authentic information. Actually i am seeking other option cos my CGPA is 2.74 with 2yrs work experience and according to what you said that it is very competitive although ve been able to discover a PGD that i will like to apply for in my field at usask by following the link you posted recently, thanks waiting to hear from you.
