Politics / Other Ad-hoc Committee Members Also Collected #11 Billion Aside Farouk's $600k by sunky644(m): 7:48am On Jun 13, 2012
Imagine what my country has turned to due to the gluttonous act of our politicians. If the people saddled with the responsibility of catching thieves are armed robbers themselves then what does the future hold for my dear country? Farouk Lawan is not the only rogue as other committee members also collected #11billion apart from uncle Farouk's $600,000. Fowl will be well blown open by a whirlwind soon. Check it out here;

It's true to a large extent. You will get one premier league match on Saturday, one serie A and bundesliga on Saturday and Sunday, one UEFA champioons league match either on Tuesday or Wednesday. You get to watch some other interesting stations too all for free but it will require two dishes and one strong decoder. The price is between 17-25k depending on ur bargaining power and how money conscious your installer is...safe.

Ikogosi warm spring in ikogosi-ekiti is a nice place you can think of. It's just about 45-60mins drive from Ado-ekiti. There is a nice swimming pool and the unexplainable misery of how cold and warm water whose source is not known met at the tourist centre. Now, there are beautifully furnished chalets you can lodge for body pleasures. Also, you ve a locally pounded yam with egusi/vegetable soup and bushmeat that you will always want to eat. The first time I saw a whiteman in my life was at Ikogosi warm spring in 1985, was just a small kid then, I never allowed them to go until they took photographs with me and my younger sister. They(white couple) actually came all the way from Britain(now UK) to visit this warm spring.
*** It's really painful to know that we Nigerians don't give a damn about the unique existence of a tourist centre like this which is the only one in the whole wide world in our country.
Politics / Re: Best Governor And Fastest Developing States In Nigeria? by sunky644(m): 2:17pm On May 26, 2012
@Digits, for ur information, I am not a member of any political party. My issue with Dr Olusegun Mimiko is that;
* He was the UPN Youth leader in the days of Pa Ajasin, he betrayed him when he made his interest known that he will be going for second term and Mimiko pitched his tent with Akin Omoboriowo(then Ondo deputy governor) who defected to NPN to contest for the same governorship election.
* He was the Commissioner for Health under Chief Adebayo Adefarati(AD Governor) but resigned and defected to PDP cos late Adefarati said he was going for second term.
* He was made the SSG and later Minister for Housing during Dr Olusegun Agagu's tenure but also betrayed him too cos he said he was going for second term. Mimiko then went ahead to form the Labour Party and contested for the same governorship election which he won at the tribunal.
*** Please tell me what has suddenly made him a SAINT to now be a do or die ADVOCATE of what he has always DESPISED. Remember he couldn't ve served Ondo state the way Ajasin did and yet was not returned for the second term.
Politics / Re: Best Governor And Fastest Developing States In Nigeria? by sunky644(m): 2:03pm On May 26, 2012
digits: govt mimiko of ondo state is the best as far as i am concern, he badged BEST GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR FROM THE FEDERAL GOVT. OF NIGERIA.
Are u referring to the federal government that refused to produce a reliable PDP Gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo state so that their dog/machine will ve a landslide victory in the October elections OR Its the Newspaper best governor of the year award that we watch on OSRC for two weeks is what you are talking about?
He may ve done well from your own point of view, I am not disputing that but the orange coloured flashy structures and projects is not enough for him to be eligible for a second term.
Politics / Re: Best Governor And Fastest Developing States In Nigeria? by sunky644(m): 1:55pm On May 26, 2012
Abagworo:

Adebayo Adefarati was so liked in his time. But why couldn't he achieve a 2nd tenure.

@fadola2 I was at Ondo Government house. I noticed road constructions completed and ongoing but I lodged at a hotel on the outskirts . I wanted to suggest he's doing a good job but I was shouted down by ordinary people. People in Ondo believe Ondo is one of the richest States in Nigeria and deserve more than Mimiko is giving.
thanks my man for saying the truth. Fadola2 specifically mention it that he is benefitting immensely from him(mimiko), so wouldn't he sing his praises. I know what we get as allocation in d state so what Mimiko is giving is not up to what we derive and deserve.

Abagworo: .

grin I was in Ondo last month and I did the driving. I even went to see your Governor. Ondo is like a 3rd or 4th home to me. Is Mimiko really liked in Ondo? NO.
Yes man, he has actually tried cos he is glued to executing flashy projects for people to feel he is our Messiah. But, the extent at which he wastes our resources is unmentionable. You need to be close to the top and see how OSOPADEC(NDDC) allocation is embezzled and mismanaged. 75million naira for fountain, 850million naira for a three bungalow Hospital etc. We really don't like him cos right from time he has always betrayed any of his boss going for second term starting from Pa Adekunle Ajasin days to Chief Adebayo Adefarati and then Dr Olusegun Agagu. So, why is he now an advocate of what he once despised? I need to know the sainthood (if there is a word like that) character in him to make him deserve two terms over his predecessors. One governor, one term.

Congratulations to the lady and Mark who God has blessed, my own Blessing will not elude me too...
Politics / Re: Best Governor And Fastest Developing States In Nigeria? by sunky644(m): 4:59pm On May 25, 2012
Now I can confirm that people are definitely aware of the fact that Olusegun Mimiko is only fooling us in Ondo state with markets, dualisation and redualisation of oyemekun road, street lights, mother and child Hospital(just three bungalows) built with almost a billion naira, abiye project financed by world bank who chose Ondo as pilot state, and some other colourful(orange) projects that has cost us a fortune it does not worth. At least Ondo is not on the list abi I should say Ondo indigents and residents are not in nairaland? Yet, he is gunning for second term in office and very soon he will float some eye catching programs that will make us feel he is a saint and ignorantly cast our vote for him once again so that he can acquire additional 200plots of land and other massive personal properties all over the world. Thanks to him though so far, our slogan in Ondo is "One governor, one term".

Autos / Re: Make Sure You Inspect Vehicles Before You Buy Them by sunky644(m): 6:42am On May 17, 2012
@Alhaji, just fix the car and leave everything to God. In my own opinion, u don't need to buy another engine may u buy the top cylinder alone (half engine), it should work well after that.
@Damola, enjoy ur money cos maga don pay. But sincerely I doubt if some people ve conscience.
@all, I am in a deep shit like this one too for trusting somebody (Nimbouregistry) on nairaland. He said he is into company incorporation and it will cost me #44,000 to register a limited liability company and also design and host the company website out of which I ve paid #39,000 (just a balance of #5,000 left which is expected to be for courier delivery of my certificate and document to my base). According to him, he said it will take him a maximum of four weeks to get everything done but it's over two months now. The funniest thing is, he sent me a text yesternight that I should borrow him #10,000 cos he is in a financial mess and that is why my certificate is delayed. Pls, has anyone had any business deal with this guy(Nimbouregistry)? He is based in Abuja, I created a topic to ascertain the authenticity of this guy and his company but the moderator decided to hide it.

linsa01: Cngrats to the prof. Pls, which state is he from?
I think he should definitely be from Akure in Ondo state cos I ve never heard of any Adesida that hail from any other town aside Akure. Adesida is the major ruling house of the Deji of Akure dynasty. I stand to be corrected though.......and Congratulations in advance to the great Professor.
Religion / Re: TB Joshua Correctly Predicts Russian Plane Crash Of Wednesday by sunky644(m): 7:38pm On May 11, 2012
@all you guys blaspheming against this man ( man of God/devil, prophet of doom etc) I think you ve to be careful as it is non of your business to judge. I can't imagine someone making a prophecy of a plane crash stating the place of crash, colour of aircraft and date of crash yet some still claim it's 3D effect and scheming. Is this the new accusation now? Because your initial was that he should ve more exact and categorical about his prophecies and not be using psychology and scope on u learned nairalanders if other Nigerians are dumb. Isn't this exact and categorical enough? I am not a member of his church and neither am I his follower but to some extent I appreciate his Humility, Humanitarian service in cash and kind and his preachings. If you heart is not locked against liking him and u re not just meant to hate this man, if you watch emmanueltv you will be forced to like him for one or two reasons. I beseech thee brethren that you leave this man alone for God to see to his case on the judgment day or when the time comes and don't type any comment if you ve nothing good to say about him.

This is the most informative and educative thread I ve seen on nairaland. Kudos to each and everyone that has contributed in one way or the other to the progress of this thread. Please, I am a poultry farmer too but on a very small scale and I am planning on expanding it. Unfortunately, I am not that financially buoyant so I need info from people who knows how I can secure Soft Agriculture Loan to expand my farm. Thanks, waiting...
