@lilema,a 2;1 is a requirement for m.sc admission for any student coming from nigeria, the experience case is for those who dint meet the academic requirement. Confirm if they need toefl and gre and if they dont go ahead with ur application but if u ve good scores in d test u can send it, it gives u a edge above few others. If ur diamond bank visa card is dollar visacard then u can use it i used my gtb usd visacard for mine.@johnkent, i am talking about canada 2yrs workpermit, i just confirmation of its reality i can afford d money but at d sametime i want to be careful. I need somebody who is aware of d program or som1 who got to canada with it, thanks waiting to hear more,

@ayoalade and charlie, pls ve not gotten response from you on the work permit issue, a friend in new brunswick told me its 2years and that he already knows 2people who got to his province with it, please is it worth trying? Actually an agent who has once helped my cousin with US VISA is giving me the option and he is promising that no problem or any form of swindling with it, he said it will cost me 950k with a down payment of 100k and pay balance after the VISA as a form of assurance. Pls i need people like you guys who are there already to help me with firsthand information and advice on this, waiting to hear from you soonest.

@jaga jaga, i'm afraid there is no vacancy, infact to compound the whole issue my boss just laid off some of our sales rep, just keep following your application, if your package is well arranged you will surely get the admission if you meet their requirement which i think you should. is Norway still doing this their free tuition stuff?

@rare, thanks for the advice, i am just trying to have more than one option in migrating to Canada. the problem is, i dont have sound academic standing that' why i am entertaining this sort of strange fear. I graduated with a second class lower that is why i applied to MUN hoping i may be lucky to get the admission. If i apply to other schools it will be a waste of application fee as i have not met their admission requirement (mostly 2:1), please what other advice do you have for me. I will appreciate contributions from other seniors in the house.

I am thinking of embarking on a work permit runs which d agent said will cost #1million, looking at d situation of things do you it will be a good idea if I make my wife the principal applicant for d work permit, thanks waiting to hear an excellent advice soonest.

This is the most sensible thread i ve ever read on nairaland, it surely helps and kudos to the guys supplying first hand and authentic information here. I ve applied for a M.Sc degree in Biochemistry and also an Advanced Diploma in Food Safety, i actually met their entry requirement and i am at the stage of searching for a supervisor which actually plays a big role in securing the admission. I am married and expecting a baby, my wife also applied for the Advanced Diploma in Food Safety cos she read Food Science at the university, she also applied for a 1st degree in Nursing too as a transfer student and she's more than 26. Pls will she be given the visa if admitted, i really want to travel with my wife to start a new life in canada. I work with a Health Based Company and i have been able to save about 1million naira and i am sure of getting atleat 1million naira from my parents too. Pls people with versatile knowledge about these stuff, kindly put me thru
