Aegon:
Mr Op I think Seun should just give you the keys to Nairaland so you can ban anyone who doesn't conform to your ideology. No need for all the long Grammar.

P.S.

It beats me what you want. I can't understand you and your selective patriotism. You always harp about

"A PARTICULAR SECTION OF THE COUNTRY"

or

"YOUR CANDIDATE LOST THE ELECTION MINE WON, DEAL WITH IT".

You insult the sensibilities of an entire region yet you want the "PEACE AND UNITY OF THE COUNTRY" shouldn't you have your head checked?

I cannot tell Seun what to do and what not, he didn't ask anyone to advise him including you. People are responsible for their views and opinions in having a robust argument in this marketplace of ideas.

Nairaland is what it is. A market of trading ideas in moderated ARGUMENT and not MODERATED OPINIONS. NOTE THE DIFFERENCE. The moment you start suppressing ideas this place looses its diversity and the beauty of it.

There are secessionist calls in BRITAIN, CANADA, SPAIN AND THE U.S.A. no one has been arrested rather the government invites them for debates with the aim of convincing the people against secession.

It is only in Nigeria that we brutalise people who do not tow our line of reasoning, religion or politics.

I repeat the BUHARI ADMINISTRATION will NOT dialogue with them. I thought you guys were rejoicing with the damage the militants are doing to your own lands. Well let us sit down and watch how everything will unfold in the coming days.

Funny. Some people are destroying the businesses empires of western countries and the same people are still hoping for some magical intervention from ICC/human rights bodies when the Nigeria government unleashed its own madness. I laugh

P.S This will be my last post on any militants thread on this forum.
Dude shut your trap. Even western nations turn against their citizens who torture terrorists. Do you know how many American and British soldiers are in jail because of inhuman treatment to terrorists in Afghanistan?

PoliticsNigeria’s Crude Oil Belongs To The North - Bugaje (video) by Sunnynwa(op): 7:32pm On May 27, 2016

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-4c9-Yf0-k

One of the lead speakers at the Northern Leaders’ Conference, Usman Bugaje, has raised a controversial issue on the ownership of Nigeria’s crude oil domiciled majorly in the Niger Delta region.

According to him, it is wrong for any state to claim that it is oil producing because 72% of the total land mass in the country belonged to the North and that by the United Nation’s law; it is only the North that actually has the right to claim ownership.

Dr. Bugaje, in his presentation, insisted that “there are no oil producing states.” He argued that “the only oil producing state is the Nigerian state itself.”

He explained, “Whatever mileage you get in the sea, according to the United Nations Law of the sea, is a measure of the land mass that you have; that is what gives you the mileage into the sea…and the land mass of this country, that gives that long 200 nautical miles or more into the ocean, is because of that 72% of the land mass of this country, which is the North.”

To buttress his argument, Dr. Bugaje also said, “The investment came from the Nigerian state and the territory belongs to the Nigerian state.”

He further maintained, “What they claim is the off shore oil is actually the oil of the North” contending that “we should stop using these terms that have no sense at all. There are no oil producing states.”

Go and read about Equatorial Guinea.

BTW, Nigeria's total oil reserves (heavy and light oil) is put at about 76 billion barrels; Ondo state alone owns roughly 40 billion barrels of those.

You will argue still, because getting facts across to 'sincerely ignorant' people is like baptizing a cat.
Ignorance is a disease. Nigeria's proven oil reserve is about 37 billion barrels.

For some people

If this present administration just coughs they will laugh , wail and rejoice

Budget was based on projection and that calculation has been faulted because muurfuckas in the Eastern region keep blowing up pipes

Furthermore , Assets seized are truly not all in cash in all the cases , and since UK ,US, Swiss among other countries are yet to refund cash , I do not think anyone rich enough to buy assets will be willing or able to buy said assets for fear of prosecution or persecution

Immediate solution is not available , and again the Eastern Region and their love for blowing up pipelines to commit fraud and free money is Nigeria's predicament
