The salient thing Obi is unaware of is that we Christians are independent minded people that operate based on personal convictions, and not teleguided by any cleric no matter of his position. He should go and ask Bishop Oyedepo how far with him in 2015 and 2019.
If our Muslim candidates has been engaging in this kinds of desperate religious fraternity then the country would have being on a time bomb.
So you considered Obi's desperate religious charade as genuine? Bro, it's not even about going to church that matters but the intention & genuineness that count.
I have no cause to prove to people like you that I'm a Christian. Most of you here haven't shown me a reason to identifies with hate-filled, abusive and intolerant souls as Christians. Jnkay: I am ashamed of my Yoruba brothers who don't see life beyond tribalism and religion. I bet you that if APC had brought Osinbajo as the presidential candidate, Igbos will vote Osinbajo instead of Obi and that is who they are when it comes to politics. They always go for the best no matter the tribe. They voted in favour of Obasanjo, Yaradua and Jonathan against they fellow tribe men that contested against these three presidents. They warned us about Buhari but we didn't listen to them because we were so clouded with tribalism and religious sentiment. If Tinubu as a Yoruba man is the best man for the job against Obi as igbo man, the Igbos will vote Tinubu against Obi. Secondly, if Authur Eze is contesting against Osinbajo, Igbos will vote Osinbajo against Author Eze because they always go for the younger, smart and service oriented as well as the best for the job. But we Yorubas has failed to understand that sentiment and tribalism is the reason Nigeria is not moving forward yet we pray every day in church and mosque for God's help but we refused to do our part. Obi is younger, creative and active for the job compare to others. Must we all sleep and face the same direction? You have lost your self pride as a yoruba man. Did Yoruba not vote for Jonathan in 2011? Mention what we benefit from his government. Obasanjo was the choice of military elites. What did he achieve in 8 years other than his do or die approach to democracy with the connivance of Maurice Iwu INEC. Who told you Osinbajo would have enjoyed Igbo support? Who labelled him mere commissioner? Is it not the Igbos. Get this fact,if it is not PDP candidate, the Igbos will not accept him. Despite the position of Ojukwu in their region, he was not considered good enough for elective position under APGA. |

saintopus: At this stage of the naira redesign the problem is not about the extension of the timeline but the none availability of the new notes.
Because for now from my view over 80% of the old naira notes were already with the CBN
Except the president would ask the CBN governor to open the vault and bring out the old naira back in circulation.
I don't see that happening, so the way forward is the rapid printing of the new notes as well as rapid circulation. The printers cannot print more than the installed capacity. |

franchasng: Any Yoruba person you see supporting Tinubu is not doing it for the common good of Nigeria but for their wicked tribalism and selfishness, nothing else.
Forget the useless lies that Tinubu built Lagos, which Lagos? The Lagos that Tinubu have stolen dry for 23yrs running now using political stooges he installs as Governors.
They foolishly praise Tinubu for the so called Eko Atlantic city built by sand filling Bar Beach ocean, and sold hundreds of billions to highest ignorant bidders.
Who even sand fills an ocean to build highrise buildings with global climate change that will cause serious flooding and oceans overshooting banks?
What Italian government did in Venice was to raise a platform above sea level such that even if there was climate change and the sea level rises it wont get to the height of the platform, and from that artificially raised platform height, they start to build edifices whose under is sea and canals. This is a safer and more futuristic design and construction instead of the mediocre they are celebrating in Eko Atlantic city which would soon start sinking buildings and causing national emergency, all because of Bola Tinubu's greed to sell more lands at exorbitant prices.
E go clear for una eyes, wait and see. You need to travel more to know how some countries preserve their coastal areas to make money. Visit Rimini in Italy and Belek in Turkey. When Lagos state started the sandfilling of barbeach and Maroko now called Atlantic city and Lekki, many like you condemned the exercise. Engineering makes construction possible everywhere. |

A cousin was in Nsukka on official assignment. He made the same complaint about South East people too. I lived in the North for almost twenty years and I have seen some of their college graduates who could not communicate in English. If you travel wide, you will see this everywhere. Mind you our government is planning to introduce policy that will make primary and secondary schools teach pupils in local languages. On your second point, if killing your people in the name of seeking for a separate nation is what you call boldness, yoruba will not do that. Go back to pre-independence history of the country to know more about how yoruba political leaders fought the colonial masters to secure independence of 1960. Also read about the roles Eastern leaders played to establish who is more courageous. Yorubas are not nzobus. franchasng: Don't be deceived, 65% of Yorubas don't understand English, especially those living outside Lagos and Tinubu knows this.
The only Yorubas that understand English are those of them that have mixed with other tribes in Lagos, Ibadan, Agbara, Ore Ondo, etc.
I served in Yoruba land, I speak with audacity that majority of Yorubas outside Yoruba state capitals don't understand English.
If you go to Primary and Secondary schools in Yoruba states outside their state capitals, they teach them in Yoruba dialect. They even teach them English using Yoruba dialect.
But you are also right that an average Yoruba person is a born tribalist, yet they are not bold enough to demand for their own Yoruba country where they can live their life the way they cherish devoid of interference from any other tribe |
