PoliticsRe: Sultan Slams Ortom, Fani-Kayode For Linking Herdsmen Killings To Danfodio by Sunsets: 11:53am On May 30, 2018
“Truth is an open wound, only justice can heal it.” wrongly quoted. The correct quote is "Conscience is an open wound; only truth can heal it". The JNI head lost me when he referred to Danfodio as highly revered. May be I should agree with him...a highly revered mass murderer.

FoodRe: Abacha Food: How To Prepare Abacha|african Salad Recipe by Sunsets: 11:19am On May 30, 2018
Is there any other way of preparing Abacha other than to return or repatriate the looted funds?
vinegurl:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGXRleGFZnQ

Abacha food is the popular Nigerian salad made with dried shredded cassava and Ugba (fermented oil beans), this is a very common food among the Igbos in Nigeria. There are many ways to make abacha, you can combine all the ingredients in one pot to mix or serve them in separate bowls and scoop as you need.

Abacha is prepared with so many vegetables and fish, the more ingredients you add to it, the tastier it becomes. This is very easy to prepare and it can be enjoyed as a main meal, appetizer or as a side dish. You can customize the ingredients to your taste. See the steps below on how to prepare Abacha and also watch the above video too.

Abacha Ingredients

• 1 cup palm oil
• 3 handful abacha or as needed
• 1 cup of ugba/Ukpaka (oil bean seeds)
• 1 medium sized smoked fish/stockfish/dried fish
• 1 medium sized pkomo (cow skin)
• 5 pieces of fresh garden eggs
• 2 medium onions, sliced/chopped
• 1-teaspoon of edible potash (kaunwa)
• 3-tablespoons of ground crayfish
• 1-teaspoon of cayenne pepper
• 2 stock cubes, crushed
• 1 teaspoon ground African nutmeg (Ehuru)
• 1 handful utazi
• 1 handful garden egg leaves or lettuce
• Small Iru or Ogiri (locust beans), optional
• A pinch of salt

How to Prepare Nigerian Abacha

1. Rinse and season kpomo and cook until tender, cut into smaller sizes and set aside.
2. Wash and shred utazi and garden egg leaves and set aside, chop onion into nice rings and the other into tiny pieces.
3. Add water to the potash to dissolve it, strain to get rid of sand and the last particles.
4. Bring abacha into a bowl and add cold water to soak it for 5 minutes, rinse from the water into a bowl, add hot water into it and drain
immediately in a colander and set aside.
5. Add palm oil into a wide pot, add the potash water a little at a time and stir until the oil curdles and changes to bright yellow color.
6. Once you have achieved a very nice creamy texture of oil, season it oil with ground crayfish, pepper, stock cubes, Ehuru (nutmeg) and stir
well.
7. Add the chopped onions, Ukpaka (oil bean seeds) and diced garden eggs and stir to incorporate.
8. Bring the drained abacha and stir in, add the cooked kpomo, dried fish if using that and stir well.
9. Garnish abacha with Utazi and stir. If you like it warm, place it on heat for 30 seconds.
10. Garnish abacha with garden egg leaves, few rings of onion and enjoy as a side dish. Bon Appétit.

Good morning today.

For those who have been asking about the whereabouts of BBN 3 winner Miracle Ikechukwu

The fly boy has been working on impacting lives and making a difference. He visited his primary school where he educated the students on carrer choices and ambition

Miracle posted these photos on his instagram account and wrote

Since winning Big Brother Naija season 3, I have been committed to using my recent fame and profile in the media for positive change in Nigeria and hopefully across Africa.

I will be visiting schools to speak with students - boosting their sense of self esteem and encouraging them to make positive choices. Despite being an advocate of conventional discipline (Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer, etc). I am also a strong proponent of choosing an unconventional career paths (Pilot, Artist, Film Director etc) and believes in empowering young people to dream.

I am determined to use my public position for good. I want to use the influence I have to fight for positive and sustainable change in Nigeria and across Africa. I want to fight for children across this continent and their right to a quality education. I want to inspire young people to dream and pursue their passions. I want to encourage unity across our continent so we can eliminate poverty here. I want to be an example to anyone across Africa who has wealth, fame or power that says you have the power to make a difference. Let’s invest in our young people. Let us invest in our Africa.
I visited my former primary school today and I was blessed and humbled by the love and encouragement. I went to give, but I received. The entire experience was very emotional for me and I could not hold back tears at times. I learned today, first hand, that when you give it comes back to you.
Thank you to all the teachers, parents and my humble principal who supported me and the kids today. I truly appreciate your kindness and friendship.
The theme for today’s visit was Education, Sport and Health Awareness, so we distributed free Nigeria National Team Jerseys and Educational materials to encourage sportsmanship, unity and aspiration. We were also encouraging everyone to show their support for Nigeria this World Cup – Go Super Eagles! @ng_supereagles

Oluwo Of Iwo Walks Out Of Yoruba Event In Port Harcourt After Organizers Omit Photo From Programme Brochure

He also charged all Yoruba sons and daughters in the state to embrace peace and work together as one united family.

Adams, however, berated the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, for saying the Yorubas have no electoral value.

‘I have it on good record from one of the leaders of Yoruba community in Port Harcourt that the governor allegedly said the Yorubas have no electoral value in Nigeria’s politics. That comment as far as I am concerned, was uncomplimentary to us as a race with over 200 million people across the world.

It is sad too that such comment came from a person that lives on peoples’ patronages, particularly, a governor that had in the past, enjoyed the supports of the race all through his political career.

Today, as I stand before you, it is my hope and prayer that governor Wike moves higher in his political desire and aspirations to the level where he would need the support of the Yoruba people either in the state or at the national level, then we will show him how important the race is in Nigeria’s politics and the world at large.”

Adams noted also that the omission of his picture and that of the Oluwo from the event brochure was done in error, saying there is the need to encourage the organisers of the programme for putting up such historic gathering.

CrimeRe: Father Accused Of Raping His Four Daughters In Port Harcourt, Remanded In Prison by Sunsets: 1:14pm On May 25, 2018
Have all the journalists in Nigeria relocated to Port Harcourt and reporting from there. Port Harcourt dis, Port Harcourt dat. Haba!
FlirtyKaren:
41-year-old Michael Akpan, who reportedly raped his four biological daughters, was remanded in prison by a Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

The suspects who reportedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of his four daughters, who were said to be two, seven, 11 and 17 years old respectively, stood the risk of being sentenced to life imprisonment after he was arraigned on three counts bordering on rape, which he reportedly perpetrated in his apartment in Borokiri Sand Field area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The charges read in part, “That you, Michael Akpan, sometime in April 2018, at Borokiri Sand Field, Port Harcourt, within the Port Harcourt Magisterial District, did have unlawful carnal knowledge of (name withheld) without her consent, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 358 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Vol. II, Law of Rivers State of Nigeria, 1999.

“That you, Michael Akpan Isaiah, sometime in May, 2018, at Borokiri Sand Field, Port Harcourt, within the Port Harcourt Magisterial District, did have unlawful carnal knowledge of (name withheld) aged seven, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Vol. II, Law of Rivers State of Nigeria, 1999.”

Fortune Ndah, the Representative of the Federation of International Women Lawyers in Rivers State, said the accused who had no lawyer representing him due to the nature of the offence, had been raping his daughters for the past three years. According to her, the crime was exposed after Isaiah’s son caught him in the act, adding that the accused was always beating his daughters before having his way sexually with them.

Chief Magistrate, Zinnah Alikor, who said the action of the accused was an abomination and a display of wickedness, also blamed the mother of the children, who she also described as a victim, for failing to have a close relationship with her children, the chief magistrate maintained that the mother would have found out the atrocity of her husband earlier.

Explorers:
A New York judge has ordered a 30-year-old man to move out of his parents' home after the couple tried and failed for months to evict their son.

At a Tuesday hearing, New York State Supreme Court Judge Donald Greenwood sided with Mark and Christina Rotondo of Camillus, New York.

The couple have been trying to evict their unemployed only-son Michael for months because he refuses to pay rent or contribute in any way around the house.

Michael left court frustrated, saying he didn't think the judge read the case fully, according toCNY Central.

He says he will appeal the decision.

'I am just so outraged,' he said outside of court on Tuesday.

His parents, Christina and Mark Rotondo, are pictured on the right.

They say they have been trying to kick him out of their house for months.

Culture is really dynamic; otherwise, this is ime okwa (a by-product of careless ikwa iko) and would have been a shameful admission of promiscuity. No known husband (safe a faceless interested party, purported engagement and an engagement ring), pregnancy and celebration. Some hypos would term the baby a bastard. Time has changed.
11Ebisco:
Linda Ikeji’s official public statement of her pregnancy

Did you guys read the title of this post? Should I write it again? Oh God, I can’t breath…lol. So let me say that again…I, Linda Ikeji, is going to be a mum. Somebody please pinch me! Gosh, I can’t get over it.

2018 started with me finding out I was pregnant. When I missed my period and my friend and I did a home pregnancy test and it read positive, my friend began to cry with happiness but I was just there staring at the stick like, you’re not messing with me, are you? This is real and not a joke on me, right? I refused to believe it and asked my friend to drive me to a lab for another test. And there it was confirmed, I was pregnant. Me, Linda, I am going to have my own child. Please don’t wake me up from this lovely dream..lol

So many women have had children, so what’s the big deal, huh? Lol. Well, you see me, I’m somewhat of a different case. There’s something about me that I have never talked about publicly before and that’s the fact that I love children so much (I took that from my dad), and I am particularly obsessed with babies, and I mean that literally. Their pureness, innocence, little beautiful faces, tiny hands and soft cheeks make me just want to be around them.

I grew up in a compound with a lot of neighbours and believe it or not, as a teenager/young woman, I was the unofficial resident babysitter. I swear, ask my siblings. I literally carried all the new born babies born in that compound at a period of time until they grew up to a certain age. Their mums used to come drop the babies at our house whenever they were tired or wanted to go out, this was, of course, to the annoyance of my family…lol.

The first baby I carried was a boy named Makoba (wonder where he is now, this was about 20 years ago, he will be a big boy now). From the first day I carried him, I didn’t want to let him go…so every time I had free time, and his mum hadn’t brought him to me, I would walk two floors up, knock on his family’s door and ask them if they wanted me to take the child off them for a while. I was always happy when they said yes. After him other mums started dropping their kids with me.

Back then my sisters and I used to take turns to cook every day of the week. So whenever it was my turn to cook and I was babysitting and they insisted I go cook, I’d tell my sisters to either hold the baby for me so I could go cook or they go cook. They always chose the latter. Lol.

Then my siblings started having children and I started to feel more joy. These were no longer neighbours’ or friends’ children, these were my nephews and nieces. My family! And carrying them brought me even more joy. Like for example, whenever I see my sister Laura’s son, Ryan, I shriek with happiness. He’s the love of my life…lol. If I was planning to go out and I heard my beautiful nephews and niece were coming over to the house, most times, I change plans and just stay home with them. I’m a homebody, I like to stay home (that’s why I bought a big house…lol).

So now imagine that in a few months, I will look down at a baby, and it won’t be a neighbor’s child, a friend’s child, a sister’s child, but my own child, my own flesh and blood, carried in my womb. My own son. It’s surreal. I can’t get over it.

You guys think DJ Khaled is obsessed with his son, Asahd? Wait until this one gets here. He’s not even here yet and I already ordered a Bentley Mulsanne for us. I swear! Lol. Like, I can’t keep calm. Oh and please, nannies, stay away from me. I’ve got this covered! Thank you. Lol.

Sometimes when I’m lying down and I feel him moving around inside me (he’s so hyper already, constantly moving around…lol), I just get up and cradle my tummy and smile. Lol. I can’t wait for these months to go by so I can meet him. My own son!

Dear son, of every dream I have had, every achievement, every milestone, out of all my accomplishments and titles, all the money and worldly possession I have, nothing compares to you. You are my greatest blessing, my gift from heaven, my greatest dream realized. I love you more than life itself and I can’t wait to meet you and give you so many kisses. And of course, spoil you! You will hear ‘I love you’ loud and clear so many times, you will beg me to stop. I can’t wait to hold you in my arms. .

I know I’m going to be the best mum ever! I was born for this and I am finally ready! And now I want to do more, achieve more, so lil man will be proud of his mama.

Considering how much I love children, sometimes I wonder why I didn’t have them earlier. But like my dad said, miracles like this finally happen when God is ready to share you.

Anyway, as you all know, I’ve always shared every milestone, every good thing that’s happened to me over the years with you guys and I definitely wanted to also share this joy with you. I’ve been wanting to scream about this since I found out many months ago but my family and friends have been telling me to ‘calm down Linda, calm down’…lol. I’m now way into my second trimester, so I guess it’s okay to share my joy.

May God grant you what you desire the most and may all your dreams come true.

Oh, by the way, I’ll be having a baby shower in a few weeks and I will definitely love for some of you amazing, loyal female readers to come celebrate with me. Will communicate when the time comes.

Plenty kisses and God bless

Linda Ikeji

This situation made to trek from slaughter to Pabod under the scorching sun with my hands raised to high heavens. The poster did not capture what led to the fracas. This happened yesterday. The Rivers state government has been intensifying efforts to beautify the city Port Harcourt by ridding it of street traders and urchins. But this day the task force met stiff and vociferous resistance from the street traders comprising citizens not just Hausa boys. However, the stiffest resistance came from the Hausa community who are major stake holders in street occupation because of the goats they herd and sale and the presence of an abattoir. Those boys are not smiling. If not for reinforcement from the NPF, they would have killed some of the task force members. Surprisingly, the detachment of policemen came and whisked their trapped colleagues away. They succeeded in sacking the street traders.

The honourable commissioner of Rural and Urban Development, Hon Dr. Reason Onya was at slaughter in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state yesterday to carry out his official assignment. According to reports, he was attack by some Hausa's hoodlums living in that area. They threw stones at him and they caused a major damage on some government facilities as seen in the pictures below;

RomanceRe: "Can You Eat Beans For 10 Years?" - Married Man Says When Asked Why He Cheated by Sunsets: 10:02am On Mar 29, 2018
Truth is, it takes the grace of God and loads of self-control and luck for a man to eat beans for 10 years. However, if you may try a different cuisine, divorce is an option. If not, be responsible and always use your palms to grab your cassava through your pocket in case it decides to misbehave uncontrollably.
HeWrites:
A Nigerian man identified as Obidike Pedro Ifeanyi has taken to his Facebook page to shared his encounter with a married man after he questioned him why he cheated on his wife. The married man replied him "Can you eat beans for ten years?".

Read what Ifeanyi wrote below;
"A Man Cheating On His Wife Asked Me This Question After I Challenged Him Why He Cheated On His Wife.

SIR, CAN YOU EAT ONLY BEANS FOR TEN YEARS?

At first I didn't know how to answer him because it sounded as if he was making sense but God gave me an inspiration to answer him. Immediately, I replied: yes, I can. He laughed at me and looked at me with a question written on his face, how?

In reality I love beans so much and that makes me not get tired of eating it daily. But for me to continue to enjoy my beans I transform my beans into many things so I don't eat beans everyday and every time.

I can make beans cake (akara) for breakfast and momoi for lunch from the same beans. I can garnish my beans with varieties and spice it up with different spices.

I also asked him if he ever heard a scenario where a doctor advised his patient to avoid some set of food and stick to a particular or some particular ones? That is because those other food can damage his health or send him to his early grave.

Then he protested again, but sir, for a healthy living one needs to eat balanced diet. I became dumbfounded for a minute before another inspiration came. I realized that the Israelites ate only manna for forty years and no single one among them was sick for those forty years. Their sickness started when they requested for variety, "we need meat they said". God gave them enough meat, they ate and it was coming out of their noses.

When you eat what God is not happy with, it will come out of your nose. God is not happy with adultery.

He wanted to ask me further question but he paused and asked me to explain my previous answers. Then I explained thus;

Your spouse is the beans and if you truly love her you can never be tired of her. To transform my beans into akara and momoi means every man should spend on their wives to change their look as often as possible. Change her hairstyle weekly, change her wardrobe often, buy her what makes you attracted to other women outside.

Also, garnishing it with varieties and spicing it up with different spices require that you do some romantic things like using different styles at the bedroom, doing it elsewhere different from your home, making the place smell nice etc. Christian couples must be creative in their bedroom. Nudity and immodest dressing is not ideal outside but not in the the bedroom. Deliberately expose your cleavages and tigh for your husband, make your towel drop deliberately, bend down in front of him to pick it etc. Tempt him, seduce him and be his prostitute.

Your wife is a manna from heaven and she is a complete balanced diet. In her, there is protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin and minerals. That is why every woman has same contents. Though the container may differ in size and height. And like you know that the content of milk is what makes it milk and not the container, you use the milk and throw away the tin.

Don't take a bite from the forbidden fruit, it may look attractive but it is poisonous. Strange women may look attractive but they are poisonous and deadly, don't take a bite.
Thanks"

EducationRe: Ohanaeze Faults Fg’s Cut-off Mark Disparity In Unity Schools by Sunsets: 11:02am On Mar 13, 2018
Throwback Tuesday; this your point is back to sender. How on earth that you couldn't see the playing field is beveled before assigning percentages to states? Allow everybody to gain admission at will. It's individuals that go to school and not states. "The admission slots have already been shared fairly among all the states even before the exams are written." Did you just say 'shared fairly'?
Throwback:
That is not possible because the cutoff marks are a reflection of the individual marks scored in each state, for which kids are in competition with fellow kids from their own state alone.

The admission slots have already been shared fairly among all the states even before the exams are written. So what you eventually see as cutoff mark is what each state requires to fulfill the already assigned slots.

If Ohaneze is not happy that the cutoff mark is high in Abia or Anambra, they should ensure that Igbo kids answer only the 10% of the questions in the exam. With the prevalence of marks such as 7,8,9,10, it is certain that the cutoff mark would also be low like in the North, and the Igbo kids would still get admitted with such low marks as they are competing within each Igbo state alone.

That way nobody feels cheated, as no one is even being cheated now.

I repeat, the very low cutoff in Yobe or Jigawa, has not prevented any Igbo boy or girl from gaining admission, because the cutoff is state specific, for already allocated state slots prior to exam.

The unity school has a purpose, but Ohaneze has chosen to turn it into a competition. The goal of the federal government is to bring diverse people in a country together as early as possible in their development. If you choose to partake in this project, you get subsidised education, which by federal objective, must be evenly spread to benefit all states.

Ohaneze is only being greedy and looking over the neighbour's fence, when they should face their own enclave and continue to aspire to be better.
