Celebrities / Re: Ladies Oluchi's Son Is Too Fine Oh by Sunshine87(f): 1:56am On Feb 21, 2010
Im sorry to say it but Oluchi isnt pretty enough to marry another black person let alone a Nigerian and have cute children.

So im not really suprised she went for a white guy, women like her and Anita hogan need some mixed features to make cute kids.
All those who are desperate to marry white people because they think mixed kids are cute, are probably not cute anyway.
The husband isnt even goodlooking.

FL Gators:

So this is what Naija women have to do to have beautiful children, have children with a non-nigerian man?

Naija guys are very fine esp the uniquely mixed ones like a yoruba or igbo guy mixed with fulani, edo or mixed with urhobo.
Celebrities / Re: D'banj Given Chieftancy Title In Abia State. by Sunshine87(f): 3:18am On Feb 20, 2010
I dont know why he got it in Abia state but I can understand PH river state or delta state.

dbanj is actually more active in the south south and south east than even outside the west (other than Lagos and Ogun ). He does charity work and was on the "rebrand Nigeria team". So I dont know why you people dislike him. Hes doing much more than other artist in Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Because Ojukwu Was Involved. by Sunshine87(f): 6:17pm On Feb 07, 2010

1. In a free and fair election, the people must have voted OBI because of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu.Igbo people will always honour the wish of Dim Ojukwu the Ikemba of Nnewi.
As for me, I don't believe in the recycling of governors, hence the reason i would not for one day support the likes of Mr Peter Obi and Ngige though Ngige won in the poll i organised, Anambra state e-election in Nairaland. If i accept Peter Obi as the governor of Anambra state,i am doing that because of IKEMBA.

Learn to speak for yourself and stop pulling everyone back by grouping all of us together. Im delta igbo and dont support apga or ikemba.
Politics / Re: Breaking News: Obi Re-elected Anambra State Governor: by Sunshine87(f): 5:50pm On Feb 07, 2010
All the abuses on igbos is unnecessary- because APGA/ikemba is not supported by all igbos. Im delta-igbo and i really wanted Ngige/AC to win but that doesnt make me less igbo? no just my opnion.

Anambra people have spoken it shouldnt be a big deal as it was a peaceful election.

asha 80:

Explain

The middle belt and Niger delta minorities have gained somewhat of importance in Nigeria its as if the SE or the country is at a standstill.

aloy-emeka:

Since when and who is chasing igbos out of Nigeria if I may ask? . Their ethnic separation will not do more than give the US an idea of the igbo population in their country and it may hurt igbos in the long run in that any Nna boy caught committing any crime can be easily labelled igbo while other tribes caught will be labelled Nigerians. Igbos will be responsible for both crimes but other tribes will not be responsible for crimes committed by igbos. It has nothing to do with Nigeria and helping igbos.

If I may educate you, fighting for political positions so you can follow in the looting is not getting help, its joining others in the dance of death because a day will come when these people will pay for their crimes.

The OP pointed at the fact that Niigbo in Nigeria are purposely undercounted, Im seriously tired of hearing the political action taken abroad rathern than Nigeria.

I dont know if anyone was thinking about committing a crime in Nigeria or abroad. Everyone feels more equal when their ethnic group or region is on the political scene in Nigeria.

just my opinion no one should jump down my throat, all im saying is I want to hear more about igbo political activity in Nigeria and not abroad.

What is your point gurlfriend?
angry ^^^ Even though you have issues with igbos, ill answer your question.
I dont see a good outcome by doing all this, Im rather a supporter of things in Nigeria.

RichyBlacK:

Sunshine87,
There is no cause for worry. Many young Nigerians (even some older ones) would like to get out of Nigeria for better education, better work experiences, etc. The average Igbo man is no more likely to leave Nigeria than the average X man (X being any other ethnic group).
That Igbos are trying to gain a distinct ethnic identity within the United States is no different from what other ethnic groups in the United States have done, just as outline in the original post.
Unlike in Nigeria, where ethnic identification, particularly Igbo identification, is discouraged or suppressed, in the United States such identification is encouraged and aided. Such information is used to better understand the depth of diversity within ethnic/racial groups.

I dont see the point in it sorry, I dont plan on living in America any longer than I have to. We are not helping ourselves by making niigbo known abroad and not in Nigeria.

They can only do to us what we allow them to do. Ijaws and other Minorities have become more relevant in Nigeria than us.

good idea all igbos should move to the US of America.

Please be quiet . . . Ive been seeing your smug remarks all over, how would you feel if hausas or igbos said yorubas should leave Nigeria?

@op Ive been quietly viewing some  threads and comments for a while now
and I just dont know what to say, kinda saddening.
Why America and not Nigeria?  We were being pushed out , now its as if we're leaving willingly.

I dont see ijaws leaving or urhobos, efiks etc smh words cant explain how I feel.
Politics / Un-african To Impeach Yaradua Over Health - Senator Victor Ndoma-egba by Sunshine87(f): 3:17pm On Jan 19, 2010

Victor Ndoma-Egba (Cross River State )

Why Senate Can’t Impeach Yar’Adua – Ndoma-Egba

• Hand Over To Jonathan Now, Tinubu Tells President

Regardless of national agitation, the Senate leadership is against the invocation of Section 143 of the Constitution, which could lead to the impeachment of President Umaru Yar’Adua.

Deputy Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, argued on Monday that even the thought of getting rid of him based on poor health is immoral.
Yar’Adua travelled to Saudi Arabia on November 23 last year on health grounds without handing over to Vice President Goodluck Jonathan as demanded by Section 145 of the Constitution.

The Section says: “Whenever the President transmits to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives a written declaration that he is proceeding on vacation or that he is otherwise unable to discharge the functions of his office, until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such functions shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.”

Although a group of 60 Senators (G60) has reportedly signed up for impeachment, Ndoma-Egba insisted that the move is insensitive and against the spirit of the Constitution.
He said in Abuja that the Senate is constrained by the Constitution to take that sort of action against Yar’Adua under the present circumstances.

Asked why the Senate is keeping quiet while the nation grinds to a halt, he riposted: “We have no role to play in this matter constitutionally. We must wait for the executive to act before we respond.

“We cannot impose a role on ourselves just because the Nigerian people are agitating. We cannot afford to be unconstitutional.”
Ndoma-Egba said it is wrong for the people to subject Yar’Adua’s ill health to political arguments.
“I don’t know when it became an offence to be ill. Invoking Section 143 means you are criminalising ill-health. That is what it means.
“I think it is unAfrican for us to discuss the President’s health in a political manner. In fact, even talking about it offends my sensibilities.
