How come he grew so fat when he wasn't like that when he was young

His father died when he was a teen and he began overeating to soothe the pain of his loss.

so are u saying if the lifestyle was managed better from the onset, perhaps he wouldn't have gone to a helpless state?

I think so. Just look at the size of one of his legs, for crying out loud! How much could you possibly eat to deposit this kind of adipose tissue?

Even if he has an unhealthy diet he clearly has some sort of genetic deficit that’s making his body go overboard. Dude should have been given some gene therapy or something when he was a teenager. It’s not normal at all.

Food addiction caused it,

its the opposite of Anorexia, where a person (mostly girls) who is already slim sees themselves as very fat in the mirror. Then starve themselves so badly, that you can see their ribs through their skin.

Have you ever witnessed a case of such in Nigeria? It was a real problem in the West some years back. That’s where this whole “body positivity” movement started from.

Oyibo place a serious premium on being very slim. It’s their equivalent of fair skin in blacks.

I recently cut one off from my life... Blocked her from all my social media. A friend that never hesitate to use every single opportunity to insult or embarrass you.
Very jealous for no reason, meanwhile the husband is reach oh, they have a very big house, cars kids and everything yet very jealous I cannot understand.

Same, I had to slowly cut her off by giving some dull responses to messages until I eventually blocked her. Somebody id known since secondary school o, she has everything but as soon as you make your own small progress she’d start acting somehow or even try to spoil it. Messed up souls everywhere, Tueh

That's the very firsts thing that struck me when I first read the post.......but the girl is the more foolish person here. I don't know her....I had to use Google to discover her. In her mind let them do what they want she will not sacrifice anything for this event.....emphasis being on the wedding ceremonies ...... She will deal with the consequences later. She is obviously desperate and there is nothing wrong with that......it's the handling that matters. All she needed to do was to in all humility cultivate a tight relationship with some other members of the family especially the boys mother. It would take time but then it would work......and if it doesn't work you move on. This option is like living your life walking sometimes on thorns and nails and then other times on eggs.

Don't underestimate the successes of private detectives in Nigeria. I am still amazed at what they can achieve. And the family is supposedly a well known and well to do one.

I don't envy her at all.

Well, maybe that’s what she had been doing and the family were frustrating her. Cos this is a very drastic action by Nigerian standards.

dudes mom and sister were actually in attendance…seems like the father wants to use the wedding to flex muscle…whatever the investigators may have found, the guy obviously doesn’t mind.

I wish them the best sha…even wedding wey the whole umunna don bless still fit crash…what do we know 🤷🏾‍♀️

So tall and slender…they were jealous of her.

When you notice people acting funny towards you, try not to ignore it. Cos the thing hardly resolves itself,…the person must try some weird sh*t in the near future…

You are very correct here. But if you have a child and have bonded with him enough and are willing to protect him as much as you can then you will understand that parents do not have anything against any particular girl or boy introduced into the family.

I think this is the bone of contention…how many parents bother to bond with and understand their kids?

The way you are approaching it is from a nice angle but just know that majority of African parents are not as enlightened as you. They merely see their relationship with their child as a means of control and subjugation rather than an expression of love.

If we even look closely it seems that this guy is even lashing out after a lifetime of being misunderstood!

Happy birthday to her. Only miserable people will say she looks miserable so they can feel a little sense of happiness laughing at people's problems.

Because she is not married nor have a child does not mean that she is not genuinely happier than many of you.

She has a child o. I don’t know whether it’s her fame that insulates her from the usual Nigerian insults. Cos anyone else would have travelled out several years ago

If you are a man or woman and you have attained a certain social, intellectual or financial state, avoid the financially Challenged the way women avoid broke men because they'll always see you as the cause of their problems even when you have your own problems that you're dealing with and whenever they see you they'll be looking at you with the eyes of anger and hatred and one day they can murder you.

I suspect this is one of the reasons this prof was murdered.

I seriously doubt if the accused persons killed the policewoman directly as being alleged. There is no sign of violence on the body of the woman. The woman may have had an underlying delibitating illness now triggered by the scuffle which led to her untimely death. I have no doubt in my mind that the police merely wants to frame these people with murder out of bitterness. But I have confidence in CP Tunji Disu of Rivers St. He will gets to the root of the matter.

That’s why it’s best to keep your hands off others lest your destiny be truncated. Many people are walking timebombs. You can just touch somebody now and an aneurysm in his brain that has has been waiting to explode since the person was born, now decides to wake up and wreak havoc.

If he had slept with his patient will any of this happen?

There are many successful black British doctors in the UK and they're successful because they know how to maintain professional boundaries.

Are we talking about those ones? Why the different standard?

It’s mostly black doctors and nurses who have their licenses revoked and even face jail time. While whites do worse and get away with it.

That is racist.

1Sharon:

It doesn't matter what she sent back to him. He's a doctor and he's supposed to know better. You don't have relations with your patient. They teach him that in medical school.

It’s abusing a position of trust, the law hates people that take advantage of a position of power, that's why the consequences is so harsh.

Of course I’m aware of all that, but the fact remains that if he were white he would have faced suspension or some other penalties. This is an overkill.

You think it suits their agenda to have a black man who is a fully-qualified doctor giving advice on the television in queens English? And he even owns his own private practice making millions.

They simply wanted to make an example of him, just like that Hausa paediatrician whose license was removed until anti-racism campaigners fought to have her reinstated.

I don’t support him but this story is too convenient.

I feel the woman was sent to set him up by a competitor. How did the woman carry herself to the clinic after receiving those messages, then turn around and report him? Hmm yeye dey smell.

Somebody had their evil eye on him and used this woman to remove him.

Whats with all these pretty young female US teachers and small boys. Is it that they cant get good gbola from matured men around them?

Why the constant hunt for small boys when matured men with good gbola abound. Can somebody help me explain?

I read somewhere that these ladies were unattractive during their teenage years and it had a profound effect on their self-image since boys never used to approach them.

Then when they get old enough to take care of themselves and improve their looks, they still seek after that same age group of boys that spurned them when they were teens.

Forget, many of our men have been abused by nannies and househelps at a tender age. Just that they don’t report

most of them don’t even recognised that they have been abused until they notice aberrant s*xual behaviours in adulthood and trace it back to what happened to them.

Is it that they know what to do but are not able to do it because of scarce resources or they don't know what to do at all??

Lol. Again it’s the same thing I was wondering and I’m hoping it not due to lack of knowledge. Who knows what kind of useless outdated technology they’re using. Cos she was still in that same Abuja which is not a remote area or a bush. Abeg

What could have gone wrong?

The police should gather evidence from her phone records to know who she called last or who called her..

Also get records of her Google maps timeline to know where last she was seen...

This will give them a clue as to what happened to her...

May her soul rest in peace and may God forgive her imperfections.... Amen

It’s what I’m wondering,.. do our police usually check phone “pings” for last known whereabouts like other places?

Marjani…such a lovely name. Good night sis 😭

Well, that’s what the person is trying to explain to you, If they can see an OND holder who will start as an apprentice for like $4 and is up to date, they are not going to waste themselves on a full-blown graduate, or even worse, an immigrant with a completely different contextual knowledge.

taking another job nothing to feel bad about..it can be but for a while, it’s normally men who get so emotional about these things…didnt one of them stamp his own wife to death out of frustration yesterday…

Coming from Africa expecting to hit the ground as an engineer in these countries filled with 100 year old buildings and bridges is an act of folly.

People easily compare income in UK vs Nigeria without comparing expenses. What's the essence of earning so high when your expenditure is also so high and at the end of the day you have almost no savings?

The West from.time to time throw banana to Africans, attract our professionals to come and do their menial jobs. Once they get what they want they close the door. 10 years after, they open another window and the cycle continues. Modern day slavery

Also known as “neo-colonialism”. Too bad!
