Education / Re: Charterhouse: Why We Charge ₦42M Fees For Primary School Pupils — Lagos School by sunsweet33: 11:39am On Apr 22
sweetrace:
Anyone who has 42 million to pay as school fees will send their kids to Independent schools in the US or UK.

That’s what I was thinking, but some parents would rather their wards stay where they can easily check on them. And they are weary of too much foreign influence.

Same way some people won’t pay for university Abroad but insist the child goes to Covenant/Babcock.

Oh.. I learnt she was depressed and it could be a possible suicide. Some people now say depression is an ailment and can be treated with medications. I don't agree.
Depression comes and stays from the wrong thoughts.

She was s*xually abused as a child And lost her best friend to cancer. she tried her best to overcome it but It seems it was too much for her to bear.

Depression is a complex condition; some people need medications and others need intense therapies. While other still need a shift in perspective and new strategies on how to perceive challenges and setbacks.

RIP dear, you really tried. 💔 🙏🏾 💐

One day when I’m very old I’d like to smoke these things and see what everybody is clamouring for.

I can’t risk developing psychosis right now. Some of these weed pepo act like zombies.

I've have you worked in the restaurant b4

I know a few people into hospitality… I do try to help around but it’s quite hopeless if the person is too gentle. They should try being a bit aggressive like the lady in that guys story (I’m not supporting her actions oo).

They come to work giving attitude, not interested in the food, no rapport or relationship with guests. If you love to host and feed people, these things can never be a problem.

Maybe my friends are just bad at interviewing people sha o

Did you learn programming in school or on your own? I’m so fascinated. Everything you wrote up there sounds like gibberish to me but I’m sure there must be a way I can do it.

MrPOTUS:

The problem with Nigerians (since we're here) is lacking of strategic spacing of their kids. Dey give birth like pigs.

Like d ones I saw yesterday, a mother and her children, 4 or 5 kids or so and the highest age isn't up to 10 years. You go think say na 7 days dem take senior themselves. All of them just small.

Birth spacing should be at least 4 to 5 yrs between siblings, so when you're having your third or last child, d older siblings will be a bit mature and less stress to you.

Hahaha grin but when they’re all small like that is cute though. Lol

Most people with kids in such schools work in private enterprises…when the kid is 1 year or like 8 months…bye bye

Like avoiding what?

There are many secrets in this world, and I am not entirely sure HIV was quite what it was marketed as.

Nonetheless I would not wish to come across as a conspiracy theorist on that.

Hmm. Not exactly a conspiracy but seeing that the disease is spread most readily via intercourse between males and is poorly treated in black populations, they may have attempted to destigmatise it but in doing so also managed to reduce general awareness.

Young people are generally quite ignorant of hiv and other STDs.

Yes, I think governments are avoiding something. It’s still a relatively serious problem

Doubt HIV is a death sentence anymore. Notice how the hype about it has disappeared.

It shouldn’t have disappeared…public health campaigns in Nigeria are just not as good as they were in the past. Maybe to avoid international stigma.

Not weird, it's something I grew eating and some people who run away from fat or cholesterol, that's what they eat too.

Even during the days of the dreaded Tomato Ebola, that’s what everybody was eating…it was a tasty combination.

That stuff in the OP is meant to be analogous to the popular American dessert “Banana Split”.

I’m sure it could be quite nice since the natural sweetness of the plantain would enhance that of the ice cream.

I’ve seen it plenty of times on tiktok but I’ve not tried it.

I would like to become a doctor but I don’t know how I’d feel seeing fückinggg disgusting sights like this 🤢 I’ll be itching my skin all through the night and wake up with wounds. 😭

The patient should be thoroughly tested; Gonorrhoea can silently destroy the reproductive organs for several years without the person even knowing it. Until they eventually realise that they are barren!

When are all these food vloggers going to publish an etiquette guide for Naija? It is long overdue, are we going to keep following British rules forever??

I encourage more of this types of questions. Education should be based on current issues in our society not the out dated archaic education.
If our faculties of engineering and sciences will emulate this, we will be solving current issues affecting us instead of cramming textbooks

Absolutely, this is how students should be engaged with course material. Not stupîd outdated textbooks from bygone eras. Very good from NDU.
