Yes, it is practiced in every state BUT not every community in the state will do it. Some people will be investigated before marriage and revealed to be osu but if the other family doesn’t believe in it, the marriage can still go ahead (especially if the person is wealthy or popular).

Also some people who are very religious still go ahead to marry the person citing that there’s no difference between slave or freeborn in Christ.

Yes it’s still in practice but there is an attempt to stamp it out. I’ve seen a few government billboards condemning it in the east.
