Have you ever seen a lawyer that can't speak English or be confident? She is a embarrassment to law profession. Public speaking is a must for lawyers. This is why they refer to themselves as learned colleagues.
That woman was a mediocre. She shouldn't be celebrated. I question her degree and the school that awarded her the degree. All round embarrassment.

I don’t think law should be an option for distance learning in Nigeria. Too many people have poor foundational knowledge (many of them through no fault of their own).

As much as she tried to express herself at that alter, she simply couldn’t. despite having studied for up to 10 years.

As she is a police officer.civic education or security studies would have sufficed. Law is too broad for this lady as she would need very intense tutoring to be up to scratch for the bar.

I remember when people were jubilating that finally the “youth” have Been given a chance with this dude, being in his early 40s

Small time we began to hear reports of rampant su*cides by Kogi state indigenes due to hardship.

As he married those 3 chubby wives of his, I guess we could have surmised from the beginning that his tenure was destined to be abnormal or should I say “normal”.

Only to come across this article telling us he will soon be arrested. Of which most probably nothing will emerge. What to say again!

Lol. another wellspring from the many raging fountains of stupïdity.

How can a federal school ask for fees…

By the way, do all you people commenting here normally pay your taxes?? Because that’s what this is actually about.

Education / Re: Private School Teachers Are Really Going Through Alot. by sunsweet33: 5:16pm On Apr 17

I didn't know this was a widespread practice. I checked a ward's Agriculture textbook recently and was stunned to see its material was largely based on publications and figures from the Directorate of Food, Roads and Rural Infrastructure (DFRRI). This was a failed project from more than two decades back.

The grammar was something else.

I have considered writing to the proprietors to urge them to review the choice of textbook but wondered if my letter would have an effect.

With your information, I think I should hold my peace.

Hm, Sister yeye dey smell oh, I have a lot of small cousins and relatives in expensive private schools and I can tell from speaking to them that they do imbibe something positive when they go to school.

Those teachers are trying even though many of them are corpers or just want to have something doing, not that the person studied Education or is actually qualified to be a Teacher.

Yet somehow when you want to help with homework or other things and you just peep inside some of those books, you’ll be seeing stars! What you reported is the same strange outdated information I found especially in arts/humanities subjects.

And it’s the teacher giving the homework from that same book so it’s not like they haven’t noticed it. Everybody will just be pretending. Who wants to be sacked?

The only thing is that we supplement the child’s learning from home with a better book or with other learning resources from the internet. I can’t tell you whether to write to the school before they say you’re trying to teach the teacher their job!

nce and lack of experienced supervision (what you get in teaching hospitals) of younger doctors.

A Multi-disciplinary approach to complex medical issues is definitely very important; by the grace of God I have never needed the type of care that necessitates experts from across disciplines to attend to me so I answered the question from a privileged perspective, granted.

That’s if those people actually exist in this country anymore. Apart from paediatrics, obstetrics and maybe cardiology, the level of specialisation is basically zero because all of them have ESCAPED. I saw somebody on tiktok lamenting that his sister can’t get treatment for a head injury because nobody in his vicinity knows how to read an MRI scan. And that was in Abuja for crying out loud!

I did not mention the calibre of staff or wealth of experience found in either institution because half of those guys pivot between both in order to supplement their income and build their portfolios.

As stated my concern is the abhorrent state of federal medical facilities across the country; even UNTH which along with UCH ought to be the gold standard for medicine and research at least in west Africa is shaping up to be a total disgrace. The last time I accompanied somebody there they wouldn’t even allow me to ease myself in the washroom without interrogating me like a criminal, is it supposed to be normal?

I think it’s short-sighted of you to dismiss the importance of good facilities in medical care; what exactly can even the best surgeon do in the absence of proper equipment? Of what use is cleaning and sterilising when clouds of dirt and dust billow in the immediate surroundings?

You asserted that the use of of the word “experiment” was erroneous but that sounds like a huge experiment to me!

What is “glossed over” at a private facility is what is not even addressed in a federal one. They can’t even buy a computer without waiting several months for a stamp of approval from Abuja,

You find people who are being employed as administrators standing outside gossiping on the phone and guzzling groundnut waiting for 4 o’clock to roll around so they can be on their way.

Why? Because nothing to do until CMD or DCMD or whoever approves it and department “Madam” hands it over to them, lol!

Disaster!

If you want an hospital that is good in a particular speciality, then go to a teaching hospital or an FMC
I don't like argument with someone that has Down's syndrome, hence, this is my last time giving you my precious time!!!

You ought to help yourself, since you obviously don’t know how to read!

How can you use Down’s syndrome as an insult? Are you normal at all?

I have at least 3 reasonable private places available to me and I don’t need to waste my time being abused and experimented on in an eyesore teaching hospital by disgusting individuals like you who lack manners.

Goodbye “doctor” 😆 👋🏾

Bros, please stop it.
Oya let me explain how this works. The MD of the hospitalet in your very expensive V.I "specialist" hospital when next you go for a visit!!!

You need to read properly before responding.

I didn’t say to look for a specialist DOCTOR and I didn’t say to look for a SPECIALIST HOSPITAL, I said that if you are able to find a private hospital that is good with a particular SPECIALTY then it’s better to go there and receive proper care in a hygienic environment that is well-staffed with high quality equipment.

If truly you are a doctor then I’m sorry for your patients because your arrogance in relating to people must mean that your bedside manner is severely lacking. And I am even more worried about your reading comprehension!

ts in a private hospital or general Hospital. She always go to the teaching hospital I finished from. I made it that way and I like it like that!!!

Thank God for your mother. What you’ve pasted here is terrible however considering the deplorable state of teaching hospitals nationwide, the inefficiency, the unnecessary bureaucracy, the sheer rot

On balance it’s better to find a high quality private hospital with a good reputation in the Specialty you require.

I’m not talking about all these strange mushroom clinics that operate from converted bungalows and Call themselves “hospital”. I mean a fully functional HOSPITAL with decent hygiene and facilities, thank you
Health / Re: Between Federal Medical Center And Teaching Hospital, Which Is Higher Ranked?? by sunsweet33: 8:23pm On Apr 16
For work, teaching hospitals are the most prestigious.

For treatment better rush yourself to a private hospital and save your life.

That is one thing, the other one is the detestable state of Textbooks that children are being forced to buy, see them riddled with horrible errors and fallacies.

sometimes they were even written by the headmaster of that same school which is even more worrying.

After they will ask why a law graduate speaks bad English. Was the bad English not supplied by the school in the first place?

Textbooks should be published according to the curriculum by respectable companies like in other countries and not used as a ploy to extort parents.

For how long will they drag it? In a much better country this case would have been dead close since and those found guilty are brought to justice so why is this one different?
After how many months they couldn't get anything, then from no where the school is saying such statement again.....does it make sense to you?

For your information there is such thing as a “cold case” in developed countries…crimes can go unsolved for decades and still be reconsidered in light of new evidence so you shouldn’t blame other countries for your callousness…

Many religious leaders lack the emotional intelligence needed to connect meaningfully with their congregation.

Many are also extremely misogynistic

And funnily enough, Jesus was the opposite of these.

ON THE OTHER HAND the people defending this lady are the same ones screaming that Nigerian graduates shouldn’t be writing ielts to work abroad. So, which way? 🤨

Why were they in a haste to bury her? Besides, the funds realized from donations ( if well utilized) would have been enough to perform that useless rituals and also transport her corpse back to the village.

The akwa ibom representative who is also a movie producer rushed and buried her after collecting donations from a few people, and the whole akwa ibom went to his page and reprimanded him. After the uproar things were done properly.

I don’t know for all these “producers” ehn. Dem no wan get sense.

Brilliant response and thank you for replying, I was just about to reply the same but a lot of these morons probably won't even understand what neurodivergence is about.

I will always reiterate that parents who care for kids know what they face to nurture and cherish their kids and don't need a busybody to tell them how to care for their offsprings, if you don't like what they are doing, why don't you tap them on their shoulder and ask them why they are putting on earmuffs or giving their kids tablets and see if you don't get a smack in the mouth for being an oversabi

Well, to me not knowing something is not a crime but passing such judgement because “she wasn’t even anywhere near the speaker” is quite surprising to see from a Christian writer.

Sounds like he felt the kids were being spoilt by a silly, overindulgent mom rather than her actively taking a cogent decision as a parent raising her kids in the church.

1. African women not knowing what to do with children in church. As soon as the service started, the woman in front of me brought out two large ear muffs for both of her children, blocked their ears while she began praising God. They weren’t sat close to a sound speaker.

Those ear defenders are designed for neurodivergent children who become distressed when overstimulated with noise, the lady was only trying to manage her family but you brought it here to make a mockery which is exactly what repels people from coming to church.

You are right. But it’s also symbolic of a generational split. Young people like or at the very least don’t mind bobrisky.

And this trans stuff has slowly infiltrated popular culture around the world for the past decade now. Most people in modern times are entertained by it.

It won’t be easy to stamp it out, especially in lagos where anything goes. Lagos is basically a country within a country

This is why I don't like the way they treated Bobrisky's case.st him was unfair and need to be revisited by liberal minded lawyers.

Objectively speaking, it’s not fair. But it’s also not as simple as “live and let live” when the person is actively and proactively flaunting a lifestyle that is at odds with the sensibilities of the society in which they live.

From the governments perspective, they are doing the right thing for the people they represent by suppressing him.

I always wondered about those monks, whether they have the same issues as Catholic abstainers like abusing minors and becoming situational homosexuals.

Looking at them in their orange wears, you’d think they don’t even know how to have s*x.

Well, the bottom line is that something needs to change around safety culture in nollywood.

By the way, one actress complained that if you are involved in a movie production and you dare complain about anything, you will be BLACKLISTED from the industry with immediate effect.

So that should partially explain why dude was acting jovial about the whole thing. Didn’t want to put any future collaborations in jeopardy.
