Bensonite: It is rather surprising how people who know nothing about Rivers politics commenting on how Rivers people will vote in 2015. GEJ has not performed as expected but Rivers State will give him block vote anytime. Amaechi is seen by an average Rivers man as too arrogant and insolent. The ACN in Rivers State has been making an all out fight on Amaechi ever since he took office and more fiercely when he planned to purchase the jet. ACN in Rivers State is controlled by Abiye Sekibo whom Amaechi will not like to align with for obvious reasons. Amaechi best bet is to join a new party or reconcile. Those thinking he would join APC should not be so sure.
The likes of Wike and co once dined with him and fought to their last strenght to make him what he is. As we speak Amaechi has no reliable PDP supporters. I have it on good authority even his commissioners cannot be trusted as they are supporting him only in open but secretly aligning with Wike's group.

berem: What will happen to him if he still remains in PDP? This is a clear indication on how 2015 will look like. Jonathan should be very careful because he is following a wrong path.

thelastpope10: Funny analysis you have. Even if all the governors of the ND join the opposition, they wont change anything. The ND is solidly behind GEJ. Rivers state people do not support GEJ because of Amaechi. Amaechi is irrelevant. That is why he has refused to change party since.

The governors heart are not leaving PDP. The whole fight was about the ambition of some of them. But the problem, they cant achieve the ambition in APC either so why change. You talk about it as if the fight is about good governance. It is strictly about ambition so chaging party wont give them that

texaco1: u still dont get it.this will make pdp stronger.it is now all pdp govs will sit tight.the president has a lot to offer.he can decide state primaries as we all saw obj did when he was the president ,he can influence things after the election in favour of anyone he wishes.none of all these pdp govs will jeopadise all that benefits because of u and me .they will rather follow the president than go against him.

The question is, why is our president not doing the right thing? He obviously did not take this decision in a haste, he must have consulted widely and personally thought deeply about it. Then why did he not do the right thing, constitutionally?
