Yes you are so used to dogs and your brain will hardly tell you to run when you see a dog prancing towards you but there are people who naturally hate dogs. They can fight ten people and kill lions but they can't stand dogs and their default setting is to run or avoid dogs entirely. Why would you want to put them in a situation where they have to deal with confronting your damn dog for sniffing? Then you mock them for being afraid of dogs by telling them not to run?

I can stand dogs. I am a dog person but there are things I can't stand like snakes while some have them as pets.
Now imagine going to a house where the house owner has a snake which should be in its pit while you are around but the owner let the snake roam freely. Should I be calm? I can't even stand 100 meters from a snake. If I am asleep and see a snake in my dream, that sleep is over. This is the same way some people avoid dogs.

Even as a dog person, I still support that any dog that runs out of its house to attack a person or people due to the owner's carelessness or forgetfulness SHOULD BE SHOT IN THE HEAD and the owner should still be made to take care of every medical bill, damages and a fine of ₦100,000.
This way, every person that has no business owning and keeping a dog will not try such.
