CFCman:
Sister cheesy, the latest I've heard is that a Sports Ministry official said the team will depart 'soon'; that the payment for the flight was paid into an account which didn't reflect immediately. grin

CFCman:

I don't understand how the NOC bungled the team's travel plans. Why can't the so-called bureaucrats ever get things done in a professional manner?

So far, 85% of the action is being played in SA's half. We're 24 mins into the first half.

Mikel Obi has been named as the captain of Team Nigeria for the 2016 Rio Olympics. He will be assisted by female table tennis player, Funke Oshonaike.
Yipee!! I as thinking of opening a thread to follow up on the olympics and then I stumbled on this grin. Generally I think the women will do better than the men and for some weird reason I believe nigeria will do better than we expect(the feeling is really weird but its still a feeling sha). Odunayo adekuoroye will definitely get a medal, I am tipping her for silver, she's a wrestler and has prepared well. I hear MFM church have been supporting her and she lacks nothing, equally really talented too.

Did you correspond it with the huge debt She & Amosu the Gov. is leaving for the State?..... Can this Igr pay for that huge debt?.
I am sure you saw it in the news last week whereby during the budget bruhaha the FG listed states that the FG owes. Ogun tops the list with about 200bn. Kemi is a very brilliant lady you won't understand what she helped ogun achieve, tho this thread is a testament to one of her works. 4th in IGR above some oil producing state is a huge deal. There is also a framework on ground, I expect ogun to outclass delta before 2019.

So anambra is the commercial base of Nigeria? So what does that made Lagos? Oil deposit?
Do you have a kid in nursery school? Have him read your analysis.
He will tel you the following:
Lagos generate IGR from Manufacturing companies (70% of them are located in Lagos)
Foreign investors
Largest Population
Largest Market
Larget Workforce (The largest business office outlet in Nigeria and west africa)
Can your anambra boast of any of the above?
you didn't even add revenue from. 1)BRT ticket sales (what brt makes in a day) hmmn you won't hear from my mouth lipsrsealed. 2)Many ppl are not aware that lagos state own many estates and homes and also. Make money from rent. 3) iCM, adeniran ogunsanya mall, etc remit to lagos state internal revenue. Many ppl think revenue is all about tax only. Some will stay in onisha all their lives and be talking about lagos. I just laugh.

Oh! I didn't see your reply before answering him. kiss
boluwatife66:
Every one of us have our dialets. have u listen to the ekiti people speak? or the egbas or the ondo, ijebu, ijesha, or even the igbominas?. do we now say they are not yorubas too?
PoliticsRe: A Brief History Of OKUN - The Yorubas In Kogi State. by superduperjay: 10:31pm On Dec 29, 2015
Idrismusty97:
All the Okun i know speaks the standard Yoruba language fluently. But when they start speaking their language(Which still sounds almost like yoruba) a typical Yoruba from Osun, Lagos, Ibadan etc may not even understand a word. Some say the Okuns are not even Yorubas.
All yoruba groups have their various dialect which are unique to them except maybe the oyo's which has been adopted as central yoruba and maybe isale eko peeps( I have no knowledge of their dialect). So okun won't understand ijebu and vice Versa except you put you ear down and listen carefully. Applies to most parts of the yoruba kingdom. God Bless the OKUNS!!

Faleke should not also forget that the ppl of ikeja has given im one week altimatum to tell them whether his constituency is in kogi or ikeja,,but come & think of it,how can inec allow someone holding a political appointing in anoda state be contesting in anoda state, not even renouncing his former position b4 contesting,,infact, inec itself as a govt agency had ridiculed itself with all these rules & electoral laws that are not clear
. Thanks for your concern we ikeja people want him to be governor and didn't send pdp to make any ultimatum on our behalf. We support him and his claim of governorship. Someone else will replace him in the house of reps. Pdp hold no grounds here.
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 5:21pm On Dec 22, 2015
Yeah Next year should be okay,I don't think there is need to panic. I also saw this truck filled with rubber on my way back to lag last week. Things just have to work.
theV0ice:
I'm very happy with the fall in oil price. Our leaders have no choice but to look for alternatives to generate money.

Even solid minerals is now receiving attention. My friend who is a miner was invited to a meeting with Fayemi about a month ago and the guy came back very excited at the expectations for next year.

Its rough now but I'm optimistic.
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 5:13pm On Dec 22, 2015
Surely Made in naija lions grin for me
theV0ice:
cheesy abeg discretion is the better part of valor

I'm sure the airport thing is just a one-off. It can't be the norm. Visit there abeg let's spend Nigerian money in nigeria wink
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 5:09pm On Dec 22, 2015
Besides nigeria is set to hit 500,000Mt of cocoa next year and one million by 2020. Next year will be a big year for farmers, if they work hard and their policies are right, they are the BIG BOYS for next year.
theV0ice:
Next year's budget has already rendered your oyel useless. Oil revenues will account for less than 20% of the budget.

Agriculture will prove more valuable than oil very soon so stop threatening the country with the dying resource.
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 4:58pm On Dec 22, 2015
Buhahahah fear fear. I'll try by God's grace to plan something in the near future, I really don't want to spend in kenya or south africa just to see lions let me spend in naija. Now that airport dosent have stairs nawa oo
theV0ice:
It was superfun I tell you. Had my honeymoon there and repeated the visit with my darling after a while. Plenty chimps roam around and they might end up in your chalet if you leave your door open grin Went on safari with some crazy oyinbo people wey be like dem no dey fear the lions. I had to come down from the open space and sat inside the vehicle with my wife o.

When my wife complained, I told her we have National geographic channel at home....she was welcome to see whatever animal of her choice there cheesy. "I no dey for how it take happen"

Then took a drive from bauchi to gombe and saw a most beautiful view of the Savannah. Boko haram has really done harm to the north.
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 4:40pm On Dec 22, 2015
I actually wish to see some of these animals physically atleast in my lifetime. How was your trip there? Fun?? Or boring??
theV0ice:
Whoever told you that didn't lie at all.

Don't know how far with the place now but the last time I was there, there were quite a number of foreigners on visit.
PoliticsRe: Bauchi Governor Responds To A Twitter User About Using "Ladder-airport" Mishap by superduperjay: 4:31pm On Dec 22, 2015
Bauchi has huge potentials in tourism. I heard hippos and elephants etc still roam freely in bauchi wildlife. That's a huge hit with wildlife enthusiasts, all they need to do is just corner a few of the tourists that run to kenya or south africa paying thousands to see lions and elephants.
PoliticsRe: States With Highest Number Of Indigenous Prostitutes/ Whores (pixs) by superduperjay: 1:07pm On Dec 22, 2015
You are just jealous of yoruba girls. Most women achievers, doctors and engineers in nigeria are yoruba women. Yoruba women are not even synonymous to prostitution. That's mainly the edos and the objectified ibo women. #TRUTH# No offence.
Brooklynsouth:
pls the order should be lagos

Osun
Ekiti
Oyo but the problem is they are too dirty
