I don't know the end of the story, actually saw the gist on nairaland but no one paid attention to it.
IlekeHD:
No, I really don't know what's going on down there. That's why I'm depending on you and many others to give me the unbiased information.

As for the carnival shenanigans, was the alfa probed?
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 6:09pm On Nov 20, 2015
IlekeHD:
Please I don't even want to think of Yoruba muslims going down that path.
We can NEVER go down that path.
Ever wonder what the two omo odua terrorist have in common? They were Britainized and brought up in Britain.
look at you madam you don't even know what is going on. In ilorin someone organized a carnival earlier on this year oo and pinto the radio saying their alfa asked them to stone the carnival people if they dare go on with the carnival, and if paradventure carnival goes on that they should never talk or asssociate with the participant again forever or risk being mixed with the unbelievers and miss the "light"?? I don't even know if the carnival eventually took place.I mean yoruba muslims are very nice but I don't know what is going on again.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 2:22am On Nov 20, 2015
From my angle I live in ikeja, I have electricity(I admit its more constant than evryone else), I work in ikeja hospital and its probably the only neat hospital in Nigeria( I was taken to luth first but I couldn't stay). Generally life is kind of easier for me sha so if goverment says they took loan to make things better for me I agree. I am sorry I sound selfish.
IlekeHD:
Why do you think it's justified?
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 2:15am On Nov 20, 2015
To me ooo I think lagos debt is justified. I'll just say that. lipsrsealed
IlekeHD:

@modath, please what is the meaning of political jobber? undecided
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 1:50pm On Nov 15, 2015
Aareonakakanfo we didn't discuss that idanre hills site being free of charge and it not having a website, plus proper monitoring and manageme. Those guys at The begining of the thread that complained about their cocoa frams being weak we didn't even address them too and I believe they echo what most farmers are saying. And you also promised a tourism week which I am still waiting for smiley

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 3:08pm On Nov 14, 2015
Aunty mi I am not homo but *kisses* we live here oo and many of us prefer to live in this places but that dosent mean we love debt. Yobe is least indebted can you live there?? (quote author=modath post=40013914]

Of course we'll get partisan, one doesn't have to be a political jobber to be partisan, we are human with emotions..... We live here & know where the shoes hurt!!

Being beaten to death & dying from sudden death are both DEATHS but one is easier & swifter than the other..

Of course we will go with the lesser evil, someone kindly create another party that will solve our problems & see if we won't support it wholeheartedly......

I live in a city where i have seen a family friend go from being a regular level 12 officer to being a serious multi millionaire on school subvention funds simply because of lack of checks & balances in the system....

We can't go with having no leader, it's one of the reasons Romanis keep making political gaffes, we can as well go with someone who is at least SERIOUS about wanting to make an effort...

The result of the last election wasn't close as some may imagine, I'm sure @Osomalo if he wants to be sincere can tell you how much resources was sunk into getting votes for the shoeless one....

I only know about events from most SW from hearsay but i am sure about Omuo-Ekiti , each vote was 2,000..

Fayose spared no expense to get things his way..

We may spend everyday here bellyaching, i still don't see how it will help our region be better in the face of our mono export & non diversified economy...[/quote]
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 2:18pm On Nov 14, 2015
I am not a politics babe so I won't put my mouth there. But I want to ask the debt profile guys a few question which I'd want them to answer honestly because to me you guys have not really hit the main point just going round in circles and getting angry without proferring solutions. 1) why would you not want to live in yobe that has the least debt but you'd live in lagos that as the most debt? Why? Whats the difference 2) why will everyone from tourists to guests to diplomats to other nigerians prefer lagos with highest debt than yobe with least debts? Why?

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 9:40pm On Nov 13, 2015
raumdeuter:
They cant scrap those dormant ministries because of the people who work there who would be unemployed that would raise hell and make the ruling party lose elections.
When Buhari delayed ministerial list and even pruned it down many people were already complaining that. There is no money in town. That the money budgeted to ministries would trickle down in form of money for PA, DG, perm secs, hiring of staffs etc
So if a budget of say 100M was allocated to a ministry before they think of any project they have to remove the money for salary and travels/training. Its whatever is left that would go to projects (ignoring that they are stealing). The cost of governance is so damn high and not sustainable
Those 6 months we didnt have ministers in Nigeria that we raised hell, Do you know how much in salary was saved? The truth is the people that really do the work are usually about 10, the rest are just there to fill constitutional quotas
When growing up I knew a friend whose mom was employed by FEDECO(INEC of the 2nd republic) the ministry was no longer in existence but she was still collecting the salary till the mid 90's almost 15yrs after the scraping of FEDECO while she would resume to her shop and still collect salary
Nigeria is a very complex country I tell you
Let me give you an example. When Akala was voted out in Oyo state he set a landmine for the incoming Ajimobi by hiring many people with the intention of dumping their financial burden on the coming govt on top of little resources
bros you were one of the guys I found amusing in my days as a guest with they way you decimated the easterns and made me laugh and then you just disappeared. Good to know you are still around grin
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 5:53pm On Nov 11, 2015
Nigeria wants to use yoruba(fashola, adeosun, fayemi etc) brain finish and still they won't kiss our feet as we walk by. Or am I asking for too much by asking nigerians to be kissing yoruba feet shocked grin grin

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 1:26pm On Nov 11, 2015
Aareonakakanfo and ileke you are right ondo governor is just a very big m*mu. Let me gist you when we went to oke idanre hills oo just to stretch our legs oo we got there and discovered that the whole thing was FREE as in FREE as in FREE of charge lol. Me I know in western countries there is no free tourism site anywhere even to enter museum u must pay (despite the artefact were my ancestors properties lol ife heads etc) there is no free tourism sites there. Even if its to be charging 100naira or 200naira or 500naira per person it might seem small but its better than free of charge. The spanish ppl and americans that day didn't even pay anything choii it was peppering me in my body and we were much about 70 ppl that day plus nigerians too. And the tour guide wasn't looking well at all, looking poor. The only ppl that benefitted that day were the coke, fanta and water sellers. Our people are very funny I wonder if they have a tourism commission in ondo. Mimiko is not even a serious person at all. This was 2013 sha don't know if things have changed.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Commonwealth and Politics by superduperjay: 10:43pm On Nov 06, 2015

I am also hearing that medview is about to go international(lagos-london). I think its also important to support our own on some cogent things. Same with that guy that wants to go to space freeman or so. Support on social media is a start aand that medview we need to criticize them if they err. (All the hostesses where jumoke, shalewa, sholape, bolaji etc etc) lol.its owned by a yoruba guy I can't remember his name right now.
