Afam4eva: Is this the same Festus Keyamo that has been bashing Fashola's government and the party he belongs to. Wonders they say shall never end.Sharap ya mouth!!! |
Skip a meal (especially dinner), opt for suya and garri |
frosbel: Can Adeboye ensure that there is not ONE needy person among his church members before he embarks on this multi-billion naira project to build a 3-km Long Church Auditorium. Those are your opinions and you are entitled to it. The project is wrong because there are many hungry people in the land?. There will always be the poor in the land and while i support churches in sharing their burden, i don't see it as a reason for not contributing to church projects and expansion. |
Syncan: Eh! Did I just read the above? Italo where you de ooo!hahhahahah.....lol ![]() |

FrostyZonn: Appointing a Muslim mod, and an intolerant one at that, in this section that is meant for the Christians and other denominations or lack of thereof, is a very bad move from the Admin, and one that might end up biting him in the àrse.Naa, you aren't. It is called FEAR. If a Christian is threaten, he probably start a prayer and fasting sessions but what will an atheist do when he knows his life is in danger?, he will simply apply his human wisdom to reduce or eliminate the threat. |
Why blame the guy , he is only afraid for his life. He knows he can actually be killed like they threaten and that Christians wont go that far even if they use the most despicable name on Jesus. It is common sense now ![]() |
Stories like this makes one wish some scientists should have been expelled right before finishing college. |
Didn't somebody got sacked for opposing Tunji or something of that nature? Tunji is the emir of NL, he has got no equal here Why can't we instead ask for a different section for Christians like the muslim got or do Christians and atheists have a common origin? |
damerry: final word for superior1.. show me a catholic who worships those incorruptible bodies and i will show you an idol worshiper. The crawlings and other gestures in the above images are in line with tradition which was either used to HONOUR or CANONIZE. thats --NOT WORSHIP--. Please learn to accept defeat and stop providing alibisCrawling is part of honour but not worship, right? Point noted sir! |

Isaiah 46:7 They lift it to their shoulders, they carry it, they set it in its place, and it stands there; it cannot move from its place. If one cries to it, it does not answer or save him from his trouble. |
1 Corinthians 10:14 14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry |
Leviticus 19:4 ESV Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord your God. |

A local Rosary association in Italy crawl with gift to “St. Philomena” in Our Lady of Grace Church in Mugnano cel Cardinale.

The body of Saint Clare of Assisi, once, but no longer, said to be incorrupt by the Catholic Church.
|
That tongue (if really it is ) looks incorruptible, right?
|
In Roman Catholicism, some relics are considered incorruptible if after death a body is seen to be physically intact, generally seen as a sign that the individual is a saint. One of such relic is the tongue of Anthony of Lisbon

chukwudi44: Where did you get this thrash from? Have you been to all catholic parishes to see their relics? What thrash can that be? |
damerry: That's my post, there's Nothing to thank you for. Exposing catholic traditions is not anti-catholic, but criticizing our traditions calling it paganism, ( your post up there attest to this, if you like, modify it) demonic and not feeding readers of this topic with EVERY BIT OF INFORMATION about what veneration of relics entails makes you anti-catholic, what you obviously did here was to post images that could scare people off their faith, you said our veneration of relics is pagansim and since EVERY CATHOLIC ALTAR HAS A RELIC WHICH ATTEST TO PAGANISM (as you claimed) what becomes of our holy mass? you supported this with citations from the bible that condemn idolatry and paganism, dude always remember this THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THE CHURCH OF GOD.But you didn't know every altar in catholic chapel has a relic until you came across this thread, ok, if you don't want to thank me, ba wahala |
damerry: for me, it's Not a big deal. My top priority is to make Heaven, what happens to the Body after death is Meant to be, there is nothing you can do about it. besides, have instincts never taught you dat there are questions you don't just ask? *Leaves thread*. sorry if that offends you, just wanted to know your view. So tell me if you have some relics at home, which of the saints they belong to and what have been your experience using them in your prayers? When next you are in church, ask the priest to show you the church's relic at the altar |
damerry: The following statements summarizes theNow you see?, you should thank me for that free info. what is anti-catholic in exposing catholic traditions? |
Syncan: I recommend this prayer for you dear friend: " Lord, teach me to keep my mouth shut until I know what I'm talking about".Lol....... |
Syncan: "Just as Eve, wife of Adam, yet still a virgin, became by her disobedience the cause of death for herself and the whole human race, so Mary, too, espoused yet a Virgin, became by her obedience the cause of salvation for herself and the whole human race.... And so it was that the knot of Eve's disobedience was loosed by Mary's obedience. For what the virgin Eve bound fast by her refusal to believe, this the Virgin Mary unbound by her belief".When people write this kind of tales without a scriptural reference, you can't but pity those who swallowed it hook, line and sinker. |
@damerry, what do you say about having your remains hanged outside a chapel like you have in the chapel of bones? Have you a relic, of which saint and what are your experiences with it? |
damerry: please don't post your personal opinions on matters like this, How many catholic chapel have you been to? And how many catholic chapel here in Nigeria did you find a relic? Why did you say EVERY CATHOLIC ALTAR HAS A RELIC? * just remembered what my fellow bretherns said about youThat isn't my personal opinion but what is obtainable from authoritative catholic sources. It seems you have very little knowledge of the doctrine of your church. EVERY CATHOLIC ALTAR HAS A RELIC, THAT IS A FACT. Becoming a Saint is through the finished work of Jesus, it isn't through the Catholic process. I AM A SAINT already. Your so called brethren have got freedom of expression, so whatever they have to say aren't my headache. |
according to the "Pontificale Romanum" (De Eccles. Consecratione) the relics of two canonized martyrs although the Cong. Sac. Rit. (16 February, 1906) decided that if the relic of only one martyr is placed in it the consecration is valid, to these may be properly added the relics of other saints, especially of those in whose honour the church of the altar is consecrated. These relics must be actual portions of the saints' bodies, not simply of their garments or of other objects which they may have used or touched; the relics must, moreover be authenticated. Every Catholic Altar has a relic. Meaning there is no Catholic Chapel which do not have tissues from a dead saint in her altar. |
This skull in Pragh is of a man that made it through the beutification process done by the Vatican.
