Politics › Re: Will Or Can The Yorubas Ever Reclaim The Ilorin Throne? by superstar1(m): 12:16pm On Dec 29, 2013
true2god: Nigeria political 'industry' is very complex to say the least. Both Kogi and kwara state will forever be a bargaining chip for the fulani against the yorubas in the Nigerian poilical equation and business. In the event of disintegration, the yorubas will surely lose their kith and kin in kogi and kwara to the fulanis, thats fact.

So the best the yoruba can do is to support the Nigeria project (one Nigeria) so that their pple in those two states will not be alienated from their ancestral home, and this is what the yoruba leaders and policy makers have come to understand.

The genesis of this identity crisis lies on the average yoruba belief in treachery as a way of gaining undue advantage over someone, especially when it comes to politics. As we all knw, historically kwara\ilorin belongs to the yorubas, but treachery and war led to the importation of fulani mercineries to fight and the fulanis saw that as a perfect opportunity to continue their expansion towards the south hence the seizure of ilorin\kwara from the yorubas till date and the enthronment of an emirate on a yoruba soil.

It is either the yorubas accept the status quo (which they cant challenge cos they are naturally cowards) or reject it by calling for a possible referendum so that their pple can fully identify with their core yoruba brother in the south west. They can equally shift alliance to their southern brothers in the south east or south south for possible military confrontation in the event of trying to alter the status quo.

Nothing is certain in life, fortune favours the brave.
You too you are happy that you have posted something that sounded reasonable to you.

Your id1otic post is nothing but shit, from an igunnuko Igbo that is devoid of brain.

Treat your greedy nature and covetousness first, before you get back to us.

By the way, recover your father's hijacked properties and streets in PH first.

Fatherless boy aka orphan, is looking for Oduduwa to adopt him. Oduduwa don't adopt Igbos.

He has enough children already.

I repeat. Past, present and future generations will NEVER see the actualisation of Biafra. Maybe Republic of alaigbo.

Before then, we will continue to piss and spit on you.

nku5: You are joker and an ignorant one at that. You have no facts to even try and mix with your motorpark opus.

Without the input of the likes of Chima Ubani would the June 12 struggle have even taken off at all? Where was your coke addict yoruba hero ffk during the struggle? Though with the animal songs some of u are singing these days I am beginning to believe that non-yorubas were naïve to have carried the struggle on their heads. Chris Anyanwu, a beautiful journalist and magazine publisher almost lost her sight in abacha's detention cells for writing against the despot. She spent 3 years in detention and now rudderless and totally useless entities can talk rubbish about igbos not standing up to be counted. You remind me of those touts in lagos who run after danfo buses with igbo in their mouth and cane in the other while their mates are at work

What was the contribution of you or anybody in your village to june 12. Cheap comedian grin
Hahahhahhahah.

You are ranting again. The OP first post says it all.

Yorubas will always be your albatross.

Mark my word, it is easier for an Haitian to become the president of Nigeria, than for the most qualified y1boman on planet earth to rule us.

It has never and it will never happen.

They are dustbins of this country and it will forever be. They are greedy ingrates, with covetous eyes.

They hate us and we will forever hate them.

We will forever rule and lord it over them. Simple.

They should just only pray hard that 2015 does not degenerate into something else. They had better be prepared for the worst.

Politics › 2014: FG To Maintain Presidential Jets With N1.52bn by superstar1(op): 10:00am On Dec 29, 2013
The Federal Government has budgeted N1.52b for the maintenance of the 10 aircraft currently in the Presidential Air Fleet in 2014.

The maintenance cost is slightly higher than the N1.5bn proposed as the initial deposit for the purchase of additional aircraft that will bring the number of aircraft in the fleet to 11.

This is apart from the N747m earmarked for the purchase of aviation fuel for the aircraft already in the fleet.

These figures are contained in the details of the 2014 Appropriation Bill presented to the National Assembly by President Goodluck Jonathan through the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, penultimate week.

The government has also earmarked N458.5m for international trainings for the fleet’s personnel in the coming year.

Another chunk of the budget for the fleet is the N675.9m budgeted for the rehabilitation/renovation/repairs of PAF Barracks.

A whopping N405.5m is also proposed for the completion of a hangar project under the PAF budget for the year while N106m is earmarked for tyre bay tools and equipment.

The PAF’s security vote (including operations) is N259.55m; insurance premium — N445.7m; as well as cleaning and fumigation services —N58m.

N71.74m is budgeted for 797 units of LG 2HP air conditioners for PAF Barracks; N40.5m is earmarked for three units of Toyota Coaster buses and N26.4m for four units of Toyota Hilux.

Motor vehicle fuel will gulp N29.6m, other transport equipment fuel cost — N26.5m; plant/generator fuel cost N14.5m as well as cooking gas/fuel cost — N2m.

The N67m devoted to miscellaneous included refreshment and meals — N28.9m; postage and courier services — N15m; medical expenses — N12m; corps members kitting, transport and feeding allowance N3.7m and honorarium and sitting allowance — N3.6m.

PAF is said to have the third largest fleet of aircraft in the country with a total of 10 aircraft, coming closely behind Aerocontractors Airlines, which has a total of 14 aircraft.

Arik Air, the largest commercial airline in the country, has a fleet of 23 aircraft.

The PAF include two Falcon 7X jets, two Falcon 900 jets, Gulfstream 550, one Boeing 737 BBJ (Nigerian Air Force 001 or Eagle One), and Gulfstream IVSP.

Others are one Gulfstream V, Cessna Citation 2 aircraft and Hawker Siddley 125-800 jet.

Ngwakwe: You mean take this irresponsible call to frontpage to achieve what exactly - a boycott?

In the cooperate world of Capitalism, sentiment is dead and buried.

The board of Directors took the decision to downsize the workforce, to keep the company competitive and thus eliminating redundancies due to acquisition of Intercontinental Bank and to attain marginal/optimum utility thereby preserving the interest of the Shareholders.

Nigeria is not a Socialist State
A capitalist have the right to downsize. It is inhumane and socially irresponsible of a corporate body to sack 200 staff and a week later use 200mm to bring mariah Carey and fergie for a nonsense concert or seminar or whatever they call it.

If they are not socially responsible to their staff, how will they be socially responsible to the customer.

The head of HR and Corporate Affairs, ought to be queried. It does not portray their bank in good light at all.

If their dare try that in a more saner society, they are a goner and they know it. They cannot even try it Gambia. ask GTB what a Gambian/ sierra leonean {either of the 2} did to them when the boss, a Nigerian, used to shout at her?

Let us keep the campaign against this corporate rascality going.

It is inhumane, barbaric and absolutely without sense.
