NwaAmaikpe:

I still believe it was irresponsibility on the part of the late manager to go on a picnic at his age.
Beach picnics are for teens and not for such a man saddled with the responsibility of running his home and a bank branch.
This won't have occurred if he was busy with his assigned duty of growing his branch's balance sheet and generating new business relationships for Skye bank rather than being busy trying to catch an undeserved fun.
Skye bank must be commmended for being kind enough to avail him his death benefits and sundry assistances considering he died irresponsibly and avoidably. Banks encourage their staff to unwind so that they can have a good balance of work-life balance. There was a time around 2008 and 2009 where it was reported bank staff were collapsing at work due to too much stress. Some died. A particular one happened in a head office of a bank which forced the bank to act on promotion of good work life balance. |

Iammercy2018: Here on nairaland its so obvious that 80% of its users have this hatred for buhari.
Whenever a news about him surface on NL either good or bad it always ends up with criticism and hate speech.
So am just wondering what will happen to those set of people if buhari wins again come 2019.
Will the lamentation continue or y'all will leave the country until he's done with his tenure.
I'm just confused because of the way ppl hates him with passion.. Some of us simply now ignore the hatred and 'bad belly' reactions towards Buhari on nairaland. There are people who have camped on nairaland politics section to keep commenting on bad things on any post about Buhari. We felt it is best to ignore, ignore and ignore. Elections are not won on nairaland or online fora. |

Olusegunpeters: Please stop carrying rumours you ain't sure about. Stop carrying rumours that Egypt and Russia do not attend to Bsc Students. They do attend to Bsc student but it takes a longer time to process they visa and temporary permit. Therefore if you don't apply early they won't attend to you.
And For India that stop issuing visa last year. It's not because of Estonia student. They had issues with Nigerian youth for drug trafficking. They stopped issuing short-stay visa for a while. I know this because I was in India last year and I talked to the Consular myself at the Embassy in Abuja.
Egypt is the Cheapest route. Apply early and make sure all they ask for is complete. Thanks They attend to but it takes two months. So if you have the money to stay or go and return, no problem. |

yoyolagos: Many agents don't know any inside (sure)! If Estonia students were the primary target, dey won't be given the option to check back later. Mind you a lot of people got their visa approved after the mini-crisis! That y I concluded d story might be truth.
Compare to wat Indian embassy told student last year, dey were explicit abt not given visa to students merely going to India to process Estonian visa.
Egypt na off and on embassy! Dey are good today n crazy tomorrow.
I had people who were merely going to Egypt for purpose of tourism within dat period faced with d same delay. Everyone was affected Estonia or no Estonia. So, dat y I felt d rumours might be truth after all. Egypt embassy cut off around June 2017. They still however attended to some backlog applications already with them. The other new people who got applied for tourist visa. |

The surest route still remains the world cup route.
But Russia and Egypt don't attend to Bsc students. Egypt will tell you to submit and return in two months.
So may be Israel is the best route. Turkey is also very good if you can get an appointment.
I wish everyone good luck. |

Mavinc4u
Where are you? Did you not go to Egypt embassy in Abuja and you were categorically told that they don't accept applications from students going to Estonia?
I know many people who went there, and many who patronized agents, and even people who got the Egypt visa. I knew what stories they told me. I know my own story too. |
Travel › Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by Suplexx: 11:27am On Apr 05, 2018 |
yoyolagos: Estonian students were not the target coz many were asked to check back later or try turkey instead (meaning there was an internal issue), for those who checked back and took the risk, dey got visa. Though some ran d risk of getting stopped in Egypt by school instructing the embassy not to issue visa coz study registration don close (TUT is a well known example). Some of the info you are giving now are not correct. But no be everything wey person know e dey talk. Make I just clear you small, students going to Estonia were the principal target. Don't listen to everything agents tell you. Some cook up stories to cover their failure. Many so called agents no know any body for inside that embassy. |

yoyolagos: Omo I waka last year oooo! Although i got a few rumour from one agent I was talking to last yr but me no believe her (agent can give you any bobo to get money from you). I travelled to Abuja early sept coz of some stupid stunt agent was playing on me with Turkey visa. At the Turkish embassy, as a smart guy now, I quickly blended with some agent outside the embassy (omo agent self get association ). While we dey gist and dem dey tell dem travelling packages wey i fit give dem for Europe (a dey give dem correct bobo just to get info from dem and compare with wat my agent told me in lagos). Na there I take no say my agent don scam me tete. While discussing, i mentioned Egypt and Estonia, immediately he started giving me d gist and luckily for me, one of their associate was actually returning from the Egypt embassy to find out the current state of things.
It was around the same period people started using group visa application to get visa in Egypt in a week. Those who have family members with valid UK or US visa. While those wey no get are likely to wait longer. There were different kinds of info and rumours on why Egypt stopped giving visas to students going to Estonia. I heard those rumours of yours and many more. |
Travel › Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by Suplexx: 10:41am On Apr 05, 2018 |
yoyolagos: Wrong info! there was a general issue at d embassy at the moment but related to Estonia. The consular was reported for illicit activities and he got a query. Thus, he cancelled a lot of visa application. Thus, many students who tried to applied during the period was advised to try turkey. Those who had applied buy pending approval was cancelled and asked to replied. And those wey their head strong got theirs but took a longer time. In summary, they started receiving application back in late Aug but it was quite late for many to apply given the uncertainty of when the visa will be ready. How did you know this? |

skarlett: But I don't really understand, if you get a three months tourist visa that will be expiring by August, can't you stay till the expiry and go to Estonia? Like in the case of Egypt. The three months visa of Egypt, is the one Egypt embassy in Nigeria will give to you to go to Egypt. They issue 90 days period visa beginning from date of issuance with just 30 days stay in Egypt. You can enter Egypt and stay for no longer than 30 days within the 90 days period. So it makes sense not to apply too early. |

slysite4real: Having to return to Nigeria after getting your Estonian visa should not be seen as so much of a problem. Although it does add to the cost, but some of those countries you will get your visa from are farther away from Estonia than Nigeria. The difference in cost may not be more than 150-200k. You should be more concerned about successfully obtaining your visa. My advice: Do not neglect a route that would give you visa because the route requires you to return to Nigeria first. You are correct. If I had this option of Russia last year, I would have gladly taken it no matter the amount. It is better to get to Estonia at first try than waiting for another one year when you might even be losing interest or getting tired of the whole stuff. However, I think I am better prepared to succeed in with cheaper routes than Russia even though Russia comes easy. |
