The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) was established in 2000 with the mission of facilitating the rapid, even and sustainable development of the Niger Delta into a region that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful.
In Line with its mandate to build human capacity resource and enhance skills development in the nine (9) States of the Niger Delta Region, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has concluded arrangement to train interested and qualified youths of the Niger Delta Origin on Oil Spill Response Management that will lead to award of globally recognized certification and create the needed skilled manpower in fundamentals of Oil Spill Management locally and internationally.

Interested candidates are required to possess a minimum of Senior School Certificate (SSC) to qualify for the training programme.

Additional Criteria

Job Description

The Web Developer will focus on the company’s external and internal web site design, and development projects and collaborating across functions, particularly in support of marketing campaigns.
This person will have an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing company to build from the ground the web best strategy, design, and development that drives brand awareness and customer engagement, provides a compelling/consistent look, feel, and persona, and enables a superior user experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems or related field.
Minimum 3+ years of development experience in web based applications.
Minimum 2+ years with PHP development; minimum 3+ years of experience with relational databases.

Requirements

3-5+ years experience working in web development, bonus if experience is within a media organization, advertising, digital ad organization
Basic understanding of marketing principles and how to develop solutions oriented design.
Design and write web pages with a combination of codes (e.g., HTML5/PHP/CSS3/JavaScript) experience required
Proficiency working with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Programs web pages working with databases and programming languages to perform back-end work (i.e., MySQL, PHP)
Strong communications skills with both technical and non-technical staff
Ability to be self motivated and to work well in both a team setting and independently.
Maintain and develop the company’s intranet.
