Dr. Ms. Peters is a lecturer in Luisa's faculty who have had eyes for Soji since he was in his 100level in the business administration department. She had approached him many times but his response didn't favour the woman who was a divorcee with 3kids in her mid 40s. She's 5'9 tall, lanky,not that fair in complexion but has an attractive face. She was ready to do anything to have the young man as hers, it was a relief to her that he wasn't a flirt. Each time she demanded to see him it ends unpleasantly so he avoided her as much as possible. The news of Soji's relationship that was announced on his birthday spread like wild fire and she was embittered with Luisa. She thought of a way to punish her and make Soji suffer because if she doesn't have him no other lady would. Funke was well known as Soji's friend so she decided to contact her so that they could discuss the issue and help themselves at the detriment of the couple. Dr. Peters wanted to use Funke for her selfish reasons and Funke herself was planning to outsmart her behind back. The first and second kidnap was sponsored by the woman. She provided every monetary materials needed and the mansion where Luisa was kept. Funke had thought it was her way of getting rich.

Soji was in the sitting room when Sammy entered the house, he looked exhausted and his friend could bet he was tired.

"I prepared some food for us" he said with his gaze fixed on the TV

"I met her today"
"who was that"

"the lady we were talking about yesterday, Funke"

"oh okay my mind was far from her because I'm beginning to suspect her."

"could you believe I caught her scrolling through my phone? I started feeling she has skeletons in her closet ever since your birthday" their discussion was interrupted by Soji's phone call, he hissed and ignored the call.

"Soji pick your call, your phone has been ringing for about 5times now"

"its someone who's not important, Ms. Peters" he said

Finally he decided to pick the call and listen to whatsoever the woman had to say, he was in no mood for her pleasantries so he snubbed her a lot before he finally dropped the call. The look on Sammy's face was questioning.

"you mean that woman still calls you after you've told her you are not interested. You better get her arrested if she will continue stalking you with calls, by the way what did she call you for"

"the hypocrite was asking me if I've heard anything from Luisa's kidnappers"


He laughed at the way his friend mentioned hypocrite and went to the kitchen.

that's just the truth and some mentioned people feels once someone is a first timer he/she can't do well and the truth is every pro was once a beginner

Kimkardashain, I felt this way to when I started 2wks ago all thanks to queenitee and Akinwale14 who gave me the strength to write on, don't stop writing people will acknowledge what you write soon, part of the Ish of being a first timer.

CHAPTER 20


Voices were heard outside room Luisa was kept, but this time a voice was different from the usual voice she hears. "who could the person" she thought aloud "perhaps the visitor is around". Shortly after she stopped hearing the voices, her door opened. She looked up to get the shock of her life. "This can't be" she said screamed. Before she could mutter another word a big hard slap landed on her cheek and left it bloody.

The rooms in the building were up to 6, how would she know which one has Luisa and there is probability of her getting caught before she gets to the right one. she decided when next she went with Funke to the building she will try and see the room where her friend mostly enters. She received a call from Sammy telling her about Funke's request of dining with him by lunch time. She smiled and told him to becareful as she already know what she's up to.

"my friend is such a funny lady, Miss Tortoise" she left her apartment and headed towards Funke's house.

He unlocked his phone, left it on the table and took an excuse to use the restroom. Not that he really wanted to use the toilet but he wanted to see Funke's reaction towards his phone. Just as he had thought, he stood somewhere he couldn't be noticed so that he would know what Funke was really up to.

They had met at a restaurant near his office as agreed and Funke had been questioning him about his private and romantic life. He saw how inquisitive she was so he decided to make her investigative work easier for her by unlocking his phone and excusing himself to the restroom.

Just as he had thought, Funke picked his phone and started scrolling through, at a time she picked her own phone and typed something from it to Sammy's phone, he suspected she was searching for Sophie's number on his phone maybe she typed the number so that she could see what name he saved the number with on his phone, but he outsmarted her by deleting every info including Sophie's number from his phone the night before.

As She saw him approach their seats, she dropped the phone and hope she wasn't caught. Sammy was smiling as if he saw nothing.

"lunch break is almost over so I'll have to leave now" he told Funke who was still feeling uneasy.

"thanks for your time" she picked her back and left abruptly.

"Could Dr. Ms. Peters be involved in my kidnap, what on earth did I do to her"
After Luisa was given a very hot slap, the woman went out in anger and didn't bother approaching her, maybe some other time.

Funke gave her a "I will show you pepper" look as she exited the room Luisa was kept with the lecturer.

CHAPTER 19

"why are you just standing there, come in joor" Funke said to Sophie who was carried away with the view of the house.

She took her to the living room where she sat down while she entertained her.
"so where is the handsome guy we are here to see?" she had a sacarstic smile.
"you better stop dreaming and watch zeeworld" she picked the remote and handed it to Sophie. "sit here I will be back in a jiffy".

"keep an eye on my friend" Funke told one of her boys.

Luisa was hungry but her caretaker wasn't around, it was a relief Funke came in. "please give me food I'm hungry"she begged.

"you'll starve till your friend is back so don't even think of begging me the more"

"You'll have a visitor here next tomorrow so you better behave who knows she could be lenient with you"
" if you are hungry, sleep" she exited the room and went to where her friend who was engrossed with zeeworld movies was sitting.

They discussed about relevant and irrelevant things while they both catch up with old times.

"this is the Funke I've always known" Sophie looked straight into her eyes as she told her.

Sammy received a text from Sophie that read "I think I now know the place but I need to be sure so that I won't get caught" Sammy was tensed at the sight of the message but calling Sophie wasn't a good idea. After reading he deleted the message from his phone and headed for the kitchen to get cup of juice for himself, his phone rang severally before he got back to his room.
"this is Funke o, to what do I owe this call" he said as he dialed the number.

"Sammy can we see tomorrow at lunch time" her voice was hoarse,

"no salutation?" he queried her. She smiled and apologized. She claimed she wanted to see him on the basis of friendship alone and nothing more, that she misses him.

"tomorrow by 2pm then" he said to her, dropped the call and headed to Soji's room.
"He's been in his room all day" he thought as he opened his friend's door. He was sleeping but the sound of the door woke him.

"I started having a strange feeling that Funke is behind my girlfriend's kidnap since yesterday"

"actually soji I'm here because of her, she called me a while ago saying she needs to see me only God knows why.". "Sophie is having the same feeling as you, she thinks Funke is the brain behind the abduction"

"we'll find out soon" Soji patted his friend's as he went back to hid bed.

Luisa after she heard Funke mentioned 'ma'am' in her conversation couldn't stop wondering who the madam who is behind her predicament is and from her calculation, she has being in that for 5months, her hope of freedom had vanished. "perhaps Lola could be of help, she might know the 'ma'am her boss was talking about" she thought.
Lola came in as she was nurturing her thoughts of asking questions.
"speaking of the devil" Luisa muttered.

"what did you say, are you talking to me" her hand was raised to land a slap on her cheek.

"sorry I wasn't talking to you, actually I wanted to ask you a question so that was what I was murmuring about"

"better!" she said as she moved away from her. "so what question is that?"



CHAPTER 18


"is there anybody else we are working for aside you?"

"and how is that you business? Am I not paying you handsomely, get out of my sight now" she barked at her.

She knew with the kind of temper Funke has she dare not stress the matter so she left and sat at the verandah.
"I should find a way to help luisa out of here" she thought "but how"

"hello Sammy I'm on my way home from the bank, I've paid the fees only the registration is what is left for me to do but that of course won't be now. Are you home already?" he said to the person at the other end of the call. "alright see you soon" he ended the call.

Somehow Soji's happiness could not be explained by him not even his friend.

"I want to visit a friend now, do you care to join?"

"yes yes" she eagerly answered. That was an opportunity she had been waiting for, her main reason for getting back with her. "let me get dressed, who knows the person might be a single and searching guy" she ran to the room. Funke couldn't help but laugh at her friend's comment. That was one of the reasons why she liked her, she's jovial, she's good at making people smile even when she's sad within her.


"Mrs single and searching guy its time to go I don't want to be late" she called out to her friend who is taking forever to dress up and apply make-over. "stunning as always" she said to her.

The drive to where they were going took like forever and from the look of things the place is situated at the outskirt of the town. But she dare not question her even though curiosity was sitting right on her face.
At last they got to a beautiful mansion which was lone in that area. The gate was opened and the guys there bowed to her.

"Something is definitely going on here" she said to herself.
