Why didn't you add in your prayers that God's will be done? It's one of the hardest thing in prayers to say, too bad many us as you don't want to include it. But it's the right kind of prayer-praying that God's will be done.

Yea very well. Let's include it in our prayers that is will be done.

Thanks

Thanks.

Okay Bro, Please visit this page https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part and try as much as possible to read through all the tips provided with regards to getting a supervisor for a masters/Ph.D research program in Canadian Universities. You may also want to start following the thread in order to access trending information on Studying in Canada.

I wouldn't want us to derail this thread so get on the link provided and start reading. Cheers!!!!

Eshemokha85:
Brother i am a fanatic fan of Canadian University. which of the universities gave u funded master admission because am highly interested to apply

A lot of Canadian Universities provide funding for their research-based Masters program. But to get in, you'll need to have a supervisor interested in your research and willing to provide you funds. This is actually a hard nut to crack as you are in competition with other students from developing and developed countries with excellent academic standing, research publications and so on.

But with a good research proposal, prayer, perseverance, and a strong believe, you'll eventually get one.

You will just need to encourage yourself to keep sending mails to these Professors even when most decline to your request for supervision !!!

Get on the Canadian Thread to learn more bro, make we no derail this thread!!!

Lest i forget, I got admitted into the University of Waterloo. wink

Good morning House,

Yahweh has glorifed his name .I give all glory to GOD that i am here to celebrate with my TRV applicants , hopefuls
and to encourage those who were delayed. I know exactly where i was this same time last year, on my birthday
i received that sad mail that my application was refused due to the reasons :

1. insufficient funds
2. Home ties ,personal assests

Then help came along - I discovered this forum , and read through the relevant contributions from veterans like @maziude, @canadianurse , @Austinpee4 @Osemigho @SURGEE
guys you rock ,thanks for your invaluable insight and help.

For guys that were delayed - dont wait start early order your gcms notes . dont rush to re-apply instead think like the VO and ask yourself all the questions that you think may invalidate your application . Your application needs to be watertight to be eligible. You need to convince the VO to see your application as inalienable . Dont see your application from your eyes alone seek help as early as possible -Prov 15:22 'Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed' .

Timestamp :

May 19 - Submitted application ( paper route)
August 10 - medical notification received
August 15 - Medical passed

Congratulations ... this is quite an airtight application.. was this a paper route or online ? Please one has an idea how long it takes accra ghana to send one's passport since visa approval notification .

It was a paper application bro. I heard it takes 5 days for Abuja paper applicants. A friend of mine got his in 3 days at the Lagos Visa Office (Online Applicant), so it kind of varies.

I'm gonna reply your PM!!!

Congrats...
please I need clarification.. Under the embassy document, you submitted letter of explanation/SOP...
under academic documents, you submitted letter of intent...

My question now is are you referring to the letter you sent to your proposed supervisor telling him/her that you would love to be a part of his research group (as letter of intent)

Okay Matic12, Yea!! exactly, the letter of Intent is a 1 page document which was submitted to my Uni during my MASc application. Its kind of synonymous to the Request for Supervision Letter to my Prof. Its different from SOP/Letter of explanation

You get baa?!!!! smiley

Application Approved!

Exactly 12 weeks after I submitted (I told God that 12 represents completion (12 tribes of Israel & the 12 disciples) and that my eligibility and background must be complete today, even though my eligibility was not being reviewed as at this morning)

Application Date: 5th June, 2017
Approval Date: 28th August, 2017

I sent mails to Accra Like four (4) times reminding them of my resumption date and that my degree requirements can only be fully achieved if I start my program in the fall term.

But above all it was God’s mercy that gave me this approval.

I fasted and prayed, and enjoined my fathers in the faith to remember me in prayers.

I’m still coming with a comprehensive story as I always do, especially with Rocorleone my Guy. As its being said on this forum, you can actually make the best of friends on this forum – God really made our case different.

In the meantime, attached were the documents I submitted. It was written in PanRoman hence i couldn't copy it here but all the same i think being in jpeg is even kind of better as you can easily download for easy referencing,

….they that sow in tears shall reap in Joy!!, He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him Ps 126: 5 – 6.

I sowed in tears and this was God’s personal word to me.

Thank you Jesus once again.

It ended in Praise

More TRV approvals IJN

DEFERMENT OF ADMISSION

The actual thing i would expect anyone looking to defer an admission do is to:

1. Contact your Graduate Admin Coordinator to ask: 'What date will most likely be the deadline
for your resumption after lectures have been initiated?
,' while you are still waiting for a decision from CIC.

2. Ask, 'If push comes to shove and maybe you haven’t gotten a decision from CIC after this deadline, can you possibly defer your admission to Winter 2018?'

.....Yes!!! We all know you can defer your admission, but hear it from them as they might even have other entry options that may come in handy.

In my case, when i asked the first question, the answer was that if i can get my study permit and register before the middle or end of October, i would be allowed to still enroll for fall. the Graduate Administrator also stated that i can even get an extension of the my letter of acceptance's expiration date if i do request for it. However, if i do not get any response from CIC by the end of October i can now request for a deferment of admission.

So please talk to your Graduate Admin Coordinator. He or She will love you help you out. Remember they went through rigour, processing countless applications before they even gave you the admission in the first place so they wouldn't want to just loose you as such!

...........It is well!!!

.........Please dont be afraid to ask?!! it is the safest way to be clear on any doubt!!

In order news, .....they that sow in tears shall reap in Joy!!

Joy is around the Corner!!

Abegi, maybe we should all tweet at PTDF so that they can understand our concerns.

Though they wouldn't say they don't know most applicants are to resume this September but there is no harm letting them know how we are strongly hoping for a quick release of the list.

In fact maybe we share them a link to this page seffff for them to see what applicants are saying......
