Chai people in this country, both Dick,Harry and Tom should know that there is God ooo.

Poor woman.
yes there is God, when mama peace said those words it has serious meaning, from her vantage position, she could see the plots ,the conspiracy, sacrificing human lives in their numbers because of lust for power, she became appalled to make those statements and it has been prophetic, the government installed through deceit HAS not been able to find its feet, despite the best of environment, no opposition, no media problems, no csos breathing down their neck yet they can't make headway. its God judgment on them for their atrocities and desperation ,even with the best of intention, they can't make any impact because their foundation is filthy, its blood, you can't wallow in inequities and expect God's blessing to abound with you.

The government has never been sincere about the subsidy issue at all, their abracadabra just got busted n the resultant effect is the fuel scarcity.Buhari/APC have always try to be clever by half, now it appears their actions are now on a boomerang mode, what a life!.
no matter how far lies have travelled, its a matter of time before truth catches up with it, the day of reckoning has come but they won't accept easily until they can't find anyone to blame again.

PoliticsRe: Who Is The Cause Of This Fuel Price Hike In Nigeria This Yuletide? by surgical: 4:15pm On Dec 22, 2017
chemali:
It’s disappointing that we are back to square on one the fuel issue.

I believe it’s a myriad of factors and increasing supply may not necessarily end it.

1. The no subsidy policy made NNPC the sole supplier of fuel. I believe there was a supply gap due to the rise in crude oil prices that prevented NNPC from meeting demand.

2. Price fixing on the part of NNPC. It is said that the price of fuel in neighboring countries is >300 naira per litre. NNPC supplies fuel to marketers @ <160 naira and this same fuel is sold across the border for 300 naira

3. Greed of Nigerians. Marketers are hoarding and diverting fuel supply to maximize profit.

Except there is a full scale devaluation or the re-introduction of subsidies to allow other companies import refined fuel, I doubt if there will be a lasting solution to the fuel crisis.
oga keep quite, you are either one of the enemies of this country or you are ignorant of the issues, because you are indirectly advocating for price increase, the unending price Increase will never solve the problem ,the reason for the quantum leap from #87 to #145 was this same reason you're giving and has it stop the problem, no, it will only cause social dislocation because of the multiplier effects, Nigeria has comparative advantage in oil production, should not be suffering like those who don't have.
PoliticsRe: Yayi Ogun Governorship Ambition In Disarray As Tinubu Withdraws Support by surgical: 2:48pm On Dec 22, 2017

GEJ overrated OBJ, you know what happened? Tinubu didn't support Akeredolu when he was contesting but it took the effort of Amosun to get that seat for Akeredolu. I don't say what I don't know.
which amosun, it was the combination of the abuja boys that did it for akeredolu, while Gej lost because he was forming good and gentle man plus the very potent APC media apparatus.

I'm not a magician but I knew it will be easier for nnamdi kanu to become Nigeria president than yayi to rule Ogun state. Amosun has made it clear he will not handover to yayi. Even obj rejected it. Now tell me how will it be possible for him to be elected as governor?
Are those two people God or they are the only ones that will vote in the election , they don't own the people, they are over rated.

PoliticsRe: 14 APC Governors Shut Out As Amaechi, El-Rufai Lead 2019 Scheme - Daily Trust by surgical: 10:00am On Dec 22, 2017
three:
These guys rode on the pro-Buhari brigade which in itself rode on the anti-GEJ sentiments of the day.

Which was BASICALLY a fairly debatable Pro-North agitation.

As at 2015 (and since 1999), SW Nigeria had been in power for 8 years, SS for approximately 6 years while NW for approximately 2 years.

This means the South had been in power for 14 years while the North had only been in power for 2.

A Pro-North agitation was arguably justified and saw a whole number of individuals vote with their feet hence the implosion of the PDP at the insistence of GEJ running for a second term.

The problem was running against and in effect rebelling against the power of incumbency. The North needed a bankable (emphasis on bankable as against competent) candidate, and Buhari with his 4million plus regular voters was a beautiful bride.

Buhari did not win because of his capacity to govern but because of the North's expedient desire to regain power which it felt it had unjustifiably been denied.

The 'North' no longer needs Buhari (having served wwrrrttt purpose in unseating an incumbent president). It is on the other hand Tinubu, Amaechi, El-Rufai, Mamma Daura, Kyari and a number of others that need Buhari.
you are making a whole lot of sense, will the north present a competent candidate this time in the interest of the country and would not bow to the power of incumbency, because the country must move forward, its a patriotic task.

The worse part is this, SUBSIDY is still there in full force
fraud is very easy in very easy in Nigeria, nigerians are very easy to deceive ,I wonder why nobody is asking questions about how this subsidy is funded since there is no appropriation for it. There is subsidy because cost has increased, cost of transaction plus cost of forex has increased, selling at previous price not feasible.
