Politics / Re: Economic Mismanagement: Buhari Will Be Laughing Now – Abati by Suunnn(f): 11:20am On Sep 09 |
hisexcellency34: Former presidential media aide, Reuben Abati on Monday says former president Muhammadu Buhari will be laughing in Daura now having seen how his successor, President Bola Tinubu and his group of acolytes in the South-West have mismanaged the Nigerian economy. According to him, Yorubas were blaming Buhari during his eight years as president but they have worsen the situation since coming to power in May 2023.
Abati now an anchor with Arise Television said the current situation in the country whereby Nigerians cannot afford fuel, energy and battling with a worsening economy is an embarrassment to the people of the South-West who have always claimed that they are experts when it comes to management of the economy.
“Nigerians now have been thrown into energy poverty. Yesterday, I was on a ThisDay live programme with the Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Mr. Segun Ajayi-Kadir and he was saying that the most affected sector of the economy are the SMEs. This SMEs operate at the level of connection with the people”.
“Most SMEs are having to shut down because they don’t have access to petrol, electricity. Diesel is expensive. So, you find a situation whereby the same people who were told ‘Elo fokan bale’ have been crippled”.
“We now found ourselves, unfortunately in a situation whereby former president Muhammadu Buhari now in his Daura village in Katsina will be laughing. He will say ‘Okay, I think these Yoruba people say they know the economy. Now, the economy is now in their hands but they have taken it down and mismanaged it”.
“What we are facing is a gross embarrassment in terms of economic management to people who come from the South-West who say people from the South-West are better at managing the economy”. https://thescrutinyng.com/2024/09/09/economic-mismanagement-buhari-will-be-laughing-at-yoruba-people-now-reuben-abati/ 🤦🏼♀️ 🤦🏼♀️ |

We have great minds like okonjo iweala , Donald duke and akunwunmi adesinA. We need you to stop this peter obi madness. Nobody likes peter obi. Nobody is going to ever vote for him again. If he contests again tinubu will win flawlessly so we need you to stop spoiling this revolution by continue to mention someone that can never win that people don't like. Move away from peter obi, it's a dead end road to nowhere but another 4 years of tinubulation. Politics / Re: Hardship: Nigerians Not The Only Ones Facing Poverty, Says Tinubu by Suunnn(f): 2:24pm On Jun 18 |
InfoGuru118: President Bola Tinubu has stated that while poverty and suffering exist in the country, Nigerians are not the only ones facing these challenges.
The President said this in Lagos when he received a delegation from the National Assembly who came to felicitate with him on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir on Monday evening.
The delegation, led by the President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, included the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Jibrin Barau, and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, among others.
“Yes, there is poverty; there is suffering in the land. We are not the only people facing such, but we must face our challenges. We must find a way to eliminate banditry and terrorism so that farmers can bring out food from the farmland.
“If you do not have good roads to bring the food to the population, even if you grow the food and you are losing 60–70 per cent to damages, you will pay the price,” said Tinubu.
Tinubu also restated his commitment not to turn his back on the country despite the challenges.
“Good economics at a harsh time is the challenge that we must face. As I said in my speech, no matter how difficult it is and how challenging it can be, I will not turn my back on Nigeria,” Tinubu said.
He challenged citizens to have a change of mindset about Nigeria if the nation is to overcome its current challenges.
“The need (for some citizens) to change the rent-seeking mindset and become more productive to the economy is a challenge. There is a need to stop smuggling and all economic sabotage.
“Why should we have people removing rail tracks and all that, stealing electric cables, and sabotaging the economy?
“We must embrace the campaign to change our value system. We must tell our people that the challenge we face is for all of us to change our mindset about our country,” Tinubu said.
The President commended the leadership of the National Assembly for the support extended to his administration, which had resulted in some of the important developments recorded by his administration.
“It is great pride for me to have the best of partners in the National Assembly. We have to drill down and be all-inclusive in our bid to satisfy our people.
“It is daunting, but we cannot run away from the fact that this country must survive the hardship,” he stated.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Akpabio said he came with the leadership of the National Assembly to pay homage and felicitate with the President on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir. Akpabio added that the visit was to thank the president for his purposeful leadership in the first year of his administration.
On what Nigerians should expect from the legislature in the days ahead, Akpabio said: “Looking forward, the National Assembly will tinker with some existing legislation to further improve on the nation’s ease of doing business.”

Fulaninigger: https://www.nairaland.com/7909983/self-centred-wife#126951809
I went through this trend, and its not the first time I'm reading stuffs like this, it's all over the net. Men in general are becoming weaker, docile and simps in relationships/marriage
How can you as a Man, be in a marriage and your wife dictates how you use your money! It puzzles me. I'm starting to think maybe there is a concoction that ladies out in guys food to make them mentally weak and submissive
My fiance once asked me how much do I earn, i told her "as long as I'm feeding, clothing and have a roof over her head, she doesn't need to know".
She once questioned me too on why I'm I sending my mother that much money in this economy. I told her "how is that her business, did I ever asked her why and how much he sends to get parents"!!
I'm not saying she shouldn't have an input in your finance, but there should be a limit and only if you ask for an advice. Ladies of these generation are not like our parents time, many of them purposely want to frustrate and belittle your authority as a man I would begin by saying in as much as there are a whole lot of women out here and there doing this as you claim There are very humble women too! Next is, for me it is a vice versa thing because i have encountered scenerios where men do this as well And it is annoying!! And straight to point, i feel and think for women who do this,, they do this to over possess,,, be the Man there which is too bad And these women are not doing it well because it is wrong, and for the men too most times it could be the man's way of life too!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |
