talented321: From ur explaination' tattoo is evil because it's for fun, can be drawn anywhere and most likely don't have any significant important.. Now what about those who draw it because of a past memory or victory, should we condemn everybody?.. Do not get me wrong please To begin with, had to differentiate And to your question, tattoo to me is not a bad thing but tribal mark in comparison to tattoo is not the same and those having tattoo is not bad,, all depend on how you tattoo,,, what you tattoo really and etc. |

Tribal Mark is traditionally based, or do i say a kind of norm // belief with also body mark limited That is, the drawing or drawings are specific and not drawn just anyhow,, talking body parts
Tattoo is fun based, in the sense that majority apply for it and thus venture in various art attached or drawn to their bodies And these drawing or drawings are not limited, it or they could be inscripted or drawn just anywhere based on the carrier |

vengertime: Few years ago, once you wake up by 6:45am to 7:00am you would have like 8-10 lines of fresh posts on nairaland front page. But this days 8am - 9am no post.
My suggestion is that reasonable Gen Zs should be employed to run the platform. Because,2006-2013 we were their age bracket and we did lots of things on this platform by educating ourselves without insults. Getting first time information about latest free browsing data, when NECO or WAEC results are out. NYSC info's etc.
The older we get the more responsibility we will have. When I was younger I could sit down and watch 5 movie in a day, but recently I can't even watch film for 30 minutes without feeling sleepy, it's a sign of maturity |

generalpelu: I started scouting for writing gigs on Nairaland in 2020. It was a very tough time for me financially.
I submitted interest in working for a guy who said he needed articles every day for a blog. The articles were to be an average of 500 words each day. We agreed on ₦1/word (not agreed though, he said he would pay...lol). I accepted because it was something at the time. I wrote several samples to prove my craft. And at the end, he left me hanging.
Soon, I met another guy who needed a rewriter. I applied. He gave me samples to rewrite. He was content with one and not with the other. He didn't get in touch any longer.
I was getting fed up about this endless sample writing. I upped my game. I began tackling low payment on the platform. Some outsourcers told me that I'll never get gigs with my attitude. I told them I don't need gigs from slavers (clients who stress you) like them.
As Providence would have it, this lady reached out to me in February 2021. She needed my services for long term. She asked that we discuss price, and we agreed on ₦1.70 (a far better price than what outsourcers do pay at the time). We kick-started and boom. My first pay was a 10000 word e-book at ₦17300. The second was ₦34000. And that was how we rolled for 2021. God bless you, Lammy.
Funnily, I don't even know her here. I don't know her username. I don't know which of my write-ups she saw here that made her reach out. But it was without stress.
With time, I got several other clients here. I avoided the stressful ones. As we say in our local English parlance, "who go epp you no go stress you." Good clients won't stress you.
Check me out... I'm that writer you need. My contact is in my signature... I'll be expecting you. You are right really Very nice clients will not stress you indeed, true one |

Politics › Re: We Are Increasingly Losing Nigeria by Suunnn(f): 6:50am On Jun 06, 2023 |
SoNature: In an ideal situation, elections come and go. Once elections end, people focus on governance. Because people understand that bad leadership spears nobody, they become constructive critics, ensuring that the government does the right thing at all times.
Sadly, over the years, I have noticed with dismay that what we practise in Nigeria is totally different. After elections, we have a situation where the "we against them" syndrome becomes prevalent among the peoples of the country.
In one of his several visits to Africa, Former President Barack Obama encouraged Africa to eschew the politics of tribe, religion and hate. Despite that famous speech receiving a thunderous applause, many years later, it appears that tribalism, religious sentiments and party affiliation are increasingly shaping our political views, thereby taking us backwards in Nigeria.
Politics, to my way of thinking, should lead to the growth, development and progress of a people. Regrettably, I have come to understand that Nigerians rarely prioritize their country's interest over political, tribal or party interests. We must be wary of this cancerous practice!
For instance, I was utterly shocked that Nairalanders hailed a judge's decision to fine Former Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo (SAN) for dragging the ICPC to court for not prosecuting Atiku Abubukar, whose former aide released voice notes to prove that he orchestrated and oversaw financial embezzlement in Nigeria.
On the other hand, I want to appeal to APC supporters all over social media to tune down their tribal politics. Yes, this is a disturbing trend that has spiralled over time. While Obidients, I have observed, focus on attacking President Tinubu and the pitfalls of his policy, a lot of these APC people (including the influential ones like FFK and Bayo Onanuga) tend to focus on attacking tribes. Without mincing words, these people are hurting this country.
Furthermore, I don't know if I am the only person who thinks that the rest of the world has no regards for the black man. Unfortunately, being the world's most populous black country, we keep proving them right because self-imposed bad leadership has stalled the development of our country for over six decades. Believe it or not, racial discrimination against people of colour transcends the colour of their skin. If Nigeria was as powerful and influential as the United States, skin colour would never have mattered.
Admittedly, many of us might have erred in the past, including myself. To right our wrongs, if Nigeria means something to us, it's high time we started putting our country's interest first. That's because we are gradually losing this country. The "we against them" disease is doing this country more harm than good. So, it's time to sheath our sword and focus on the progress of the country. You shouldn't criticize destructively because your preferred candidate isn't the person driving the process. It should be country first before candidate.
Thank you and God bless us all.... At times the quietness of someone does not imply weaknesses Only to let things be, for peace sake |

TonyRazor: God willing, I will be president of Nigeria- Peter Obi
Tony Okafor,Awka
The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has expressed confidence that God willing that he would be the president of Nigeria.
He quipped that he was not in a hurry to achieve the dream.
Speaking on Friday during the unveiling of a book, Peter Obi: many voices, one perspective, Obi stressed the need to always stand for the truth in the quest to build a new Nigeria.
He also pledged to accept the decision of the Judiciary in good faith.
He said, "I'll always insist on what is right. When I was impeached as governor, people asked me to do this and that, I said no. I won't give money to do the wrong thing.
"Again, I had never met with Mammood Yakubu, since he became the head of INEC. Although I was together with him as the chairman in a committee, but I don't need to meet him because he has only one vote which he can cast to anyone.
"If he wants to do what is wrong, no problem. One day, this thing we are doing in this country will consume all of us.
He added, "I'm in this journey. Anyone that thinks I'm on transit is joking. I must be the president of this country. If it's not today, it will be tomorrow. I'm not in a hurry. I'm not desperate.
"We must fix this country. I have only one passport. if anyone thinks that Peter Obi will run away, is wasting his time.
"I'm in court now, whatever decision of the court, I'll respect it. I'm not going to riot after which we'll continue. But I know we're committed to the destiny of this nation, when it's God's time it'll happen
Appreciating the OBIdients for their understanding and perseverance, Obi insisted that his softness and apologetic disposition remained the way to go and sign of discipline and responsibility.
"We're trying to build a new Nigeria and that new Nigeria must be ready to say sorry, even if they are right. We need to start thinking about what are we going to do to have a better country".
Chairman, Obi of Onitsha and Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, described Obi as a man of destiny, whose progress in life reflects the hand of God upon him.
"It's not by his works or by his power," he submitted.
Earlier, Lead Editor of the book, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna described the peice as capturing everything about the man, Peter Obi.
"We are not saying that Peter Obi is a saint. But he stands out in integrity. Nigeria is richly blessed if this man becomes President".
"Whatever we realize here will be channelled into the on-going litigation. I am hopeful that the litigation will end well; and the truth will come out".
The event attracted traditional rulers, politicians, cabinet members during Obi's tenure as governor, his friends and admirers, who donated various sums of money in support of the book lunch. One with God is always Majority |
Politics › Re: Strike: Ikpeazu Bows To Pressure, Directs Immediate Payment Of Workers' Salaries by Suunnn(f): 5:40pm On May 12, 2023 |
Gistsnaijamedia: Following the resumption of industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress in Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has ordered the immediate payment of workers salary in the state.
Recall that the NLC had on Monday May 8 directed members to proceed on indefinite strike after deliberating on the plethora of problem workers and pensioner are facing in the state.
Meanwhile, Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to the Government, in a statement on Friday said despite the current challenges facing the state government, the governor had directed the office of the Accountant General to commence payment of salaries to ministries and parastatals from today Friday May 12, 2023.
According to the statement, the protracted court order freezing the various accounts of the state government affected the payment of salaries for the months of March and April 2023.
Ezem noted that no core ministry or civil servant is owed salaries before now, adding that salaries of local government staff are also up to date except for the inherited 5 months arrears out of which it had paid 3 months.
The government has however directed the local government authorities to commence immediate payment payment of salaries of health workers across the 17 LGAs.
He, therefore, called on all the affected staff to resume work at their offices immediately and ensure resumption of activities in all ministries and the office of the Accountant General for implementation of the directive.
