PoliticsRe: To Douse Tension, Tinubu Must Ensure An Igbo Senate Presidency by Suunnn(f): 2:15pm On Apr 26, 2023
Poten111:
Anybody advising Tinubu to support Akpabio or Barau hates Tinubu and Nigeria.

Igbos have been marginalized in Buhari's government. The country is highly polarised along ethnic lines. According to Ex-governor John Kayode Fayemi, "Tinubu should work towards having a government of National Unity".

If Kalu is senate president, nobody can say they have been marginalized in igbo land. Secessionist struggles will have no meaning.

Ir you recall, majority of Nigerians did not vote Tinubu. if you compare Atiku and Obi's vote. About 65% of Nigerians did not vote Tinubu. Only avenue to achieving lasting peace is by ensuring that No Igbo man, home or abroad can use grievance to hate a government.

Tinubu does not need that distraction.
An igbo ought to be included

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday toured the ruins of Maiduguri Monday Market, destroyed by fire recently, commiserating with the government and people of the State on the unfortunate incident.

The President was also at the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar El-Kanemi, to register his profound condolences to indigenes of the State who lost property and means of livelihood in the disaster. The President visited the market, still smouldering five days after, with Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, members of the Federal Executive Council and some eminent citizens of the State.

PoliticsRe: Anambra State Government Takes Initiatives To Digitalize Its Services by Suunnn(f): 2:09pm On Apr 26, 2023
WokeNationTV:
To better serve its citizens, the Anambra State government is implementing steps to digitize its services. The State has set out on a quest to make service delivery as digital, cutting-edge, and paperless as possible under the direction of Governor Soludo.

When the present government came into office and realized there weren’t enough digital working devices to service the entire state, the path toward a paperless future was set in motion. To address this, the State Government has invested in 200 new digital work tools that will be given to employees once they have received Microsoft Office 365 training earlier this year.

Digitalization in Anambra

One of the key benefits of digitalization in Anambra is increased connectivity. Digital technologies allow people to connect with each other and the rest of the world more easily. This can help to promote trade, commerce, and other economic activities in the state. Additionally, digital technologies can also help to improve the quality of life for Anambra people, by providing access to education, healthcare, and other services.

Another benefit of digitalization in Anambra is improved efficiency. Digital technologies can also help to streamline processes and procedures, reducing the time and effort required to complete tasks. This can help to boost productivity and make it easier for people to do business in the state.

Opportunities for Investment in Anambra

The digitalization of Anambra presents significant opportunities for investment. There are several areas where investors can also capitalize on the benefits of digitalization to create new businesses and industries.

E-commerce

With the increased connectivity provided by digital technologies, e-commerce is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to buy and sell goods and services. Anambra has a large population and a growing middle class, making it an attractive market for e-commerce businesses. Investors can also capitalize on this by setting up online marketplaces, delivery services, and other e-commerce businesses.

Digital Marketing

With the rise of social media and other digital platforms, traditional marketing methods are becoming less effective. Digital marketing offers a more targeted and personalized approach to marketing, making it a popular choice for businesses of all sizes. Anambra has a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), making it an attractive market for digital marketing services.

Education Sector

Digital technologies can also help to provide access to education for people in remote areas, as well as provide new ways of learning and teaching. Investors can also set up online learning platforms, provide digital textbooks and other educational resources, and offer other educational services to Anambra people.

Healthcare Sector

Digital technologies can help to improve access to healthcare, provide better patient care, and reduce healthcare costs. Investors can also set up telemedicine services, provide digital healthcare solutions, and offer other healthcare services that leverage digital technologies.

Anambra has a large population, a growing middle class, and a business-friendly environment, making it an attractive market for investors. By investing in digital technologies, Anambra can also unlock its full economic potential and become a leading player in the digital economy.

Governor Soludo’s ambition for a paperless digital economy in Anambra State is a step in the right direction. With this action, the Government has also demonstrated its commitment to offering innovative and digital services to the citizens of Anambra State.

PoliticsRe: It’s Time To Save Nigeria, Be Fair — Pastor Enenche Tells Judiciary by Suunnn(f): 10:32am On Mar 08, 2023
SportFm:
By Ezra Ukanwa, Abuja.

AS presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, head to court over conduct of the 2023 presidential election, the senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, DIGC, Dr. Paul Enenche, has advised the judiciary to be transparent, fair and set the country on the right path of electoral justice.

Enenche, while stating that the 2023 presidential election lacked probity and credibility, said Malawi was caught up in a similar scenario but the Judiciary was able to rescue and set the pace for constitutional democracy in Malawi.

The Senior Pastor who took to his social media handle to express his reservations about the just concluded election also urged the court to remain last of of the common man.

He said: “Just in case you are wondering if getting electoral justice through judicial intervention is possible, learn from the story of Malawi presidential election in 2019.

“In that election, not only was the incumbent party in the contest, the incumbent president was also contesting. He rigged his way to victory and was declared winner. There was an atmosphere of widespread national dissatisfaction and disillusionment among the citizens created by overwhelming and indisputable evidence of electoral fraud.

“The aggrieved parties took the case to the country’s constitutional court alleging widespread rigging, irregularities and malpractices in favour of the incumbent president.

“The constitutional court nullified the election, citing widespread systematic and grave irregularities, and called for a rerun.

The incumbent president (the purported winner) appealed against the ruling at the Supreme Court.

“The Supreme Court in its ruling upheld the ruling of the constitutional court, nullifying the election and calling for a rerun. In fact, it said that had the constitutional court not called for a rerun in its ruling, it (the Supreme Court) would have declared the actual winner as the outright winner of the election.

“The rerun election was held as ruled by the court, and the actual winner of the previously rigged election emerged winner, polling 58% of the total votes cast ahead of the incumbent who was tailing behind with 39% of the votes cast.

“Thus Malawi, a country in Sub-Sahara Africa set the pace for constitutional democracy by sacking a sitting president and government in power through a judicial process. The judges that set this historic constitutional record not only upheld justice, but also ensured that the popular will of the people prevailed over the selfish interest of the party and government in power. The judiciary in Malawi lived true to their mantra as being the citadel of justice, and the last hope of common man.

“The judiciary remains the last hope for justice in every civilized society.

We are facing a similar scenario in Nigeria today, and as citizens, we are turning to the judiciary to ensure electoral justice.

“Much more is expected of the judiciary in Nigeria, being a sub-regional and regional leader in both political and economic ramifications. The judiciary in Nigeria has now before it, the choice to either compromise its values or consolidate on justice. It is the choice of treading the path of probity and honour or sliding down the precipice of compromise and infamy.

“It is time to save Nigeria and set her on a path of electoral justice, peace and development, and we believe the judiciary will do the right thing. Like Malawi, the Nigeria judiciary now has the golden opportunity to etch its name in gold by ensuring that democracy remains the government of the people, by the people and for the people, and not an article up for sale to the highest bidder.”

PoliticsRe: Soludo: I'm The First Anambra Governor To Employ 5000 In My 9 Months In Office by Suunnn(f): 10:24am On Mar 08, 2023
SReporters:
Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, Governor of Anambra State, says he's the first Governor in the state's history to hire 5000 teachers in his first nine months in office.

He added that his administration is focused on building people and infrastructure because human capital is the foundation of any society, and that he takes health and education seriously.

The Governor made the declaration while inspecting the renovation of the Enugwu Ukwu General Hospital in Njikoka to ensure that it is on schedule and in accordance with the agreed-upon program.

According to Soludo, Enugwu Ukwu is a huge town with four large wards, and the votes cast here are very important in the election results for Njikoka Local Council.

The Governor recalled his relations with ndi Enugwu Ukwu, naming friends such as Peter Onwa, MasterHoldings, Chris Okoye, and the traditional ruler of Enugwu Ukwu.

Explaining that today is his third visit to Enugwu Ukwu, he revealed that the National Election, which took place last week and concerns the country, is over!

He went on to say that the upcoming State House of Assembly election is critical because of the ongoing developments in the state.

"We are currently training and empowering 5000 youths to become future millionaires. This is the spirit of Anambra.

"For all these developments we are doing in the state to continue, ndi Anambra needs to assist us by voting APGA Candidates in the upcoming State House of Assembly election.

"On Saturday, give me Hon. Chidi Ibemeka for Njikoka Constituency 1 House of Assembly. Do this, and I'll handle the rest.

"I need a caucus with whom I can talk about the future of Enugwu Ukwu and Anambra while the opposition talks about how to create chaos and anarchy," Soludo said.

It should be noted that some of the roads flagged-off during Mr. Peter Obi's and my predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano's tenure as Anambra Governor are still pending today because they were done during the election period to canvass for votes.

Soludo emphasized that all of the roads he has flagged must be completed because he is not the typical politician who makes promises and then breaks them.

He explained that he has made 40-50% down payments to contractors for all of the road projects that have been initiated, as well as a down payment for the ongoing Enugwu General Hospital renovation.

Finally, the Governor reminded them to show up for the National Census Exercise, which would take place after the election.

Earlier, Chief Clem Aguiyi, the TC Chairman of Njikoka, expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Enugwu Ukwu, saying he admires the Governor because he is one of the few people who embarks on a project and physically inspects it to ensure the reports he receives about the project are accurate.

According to APGA Candidate, Njikoka 1 Constituency, Chidi Ibemeka, Enugwu Ukwu is a peaceful and united community with four wards, and the people have been yearning for a distinguished personality to represent them in the house of Assembly for many years. He described himself as the Governor's son who served as his Campaign Director, and vowed to work closely with the Governor if elected.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, a native of Enugwu Ukwu, said he and his team paid a visit to the Traditional Ruler. Aside from the construction of Enugwu Ukwu General Hospital, he stated that sufficient manpower and equipment will also be available.

He promised that the Enugwu Ukwu General Hospital would be transformed into a Specialist service center, with the addition of four additional doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.

The Commissioner said the ongoing project in the area should spur them to turn out en masse and vote APGA Candidate for continuity and development.

The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, AVM Ben Chiobi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals Hon. Godwin Nnadozie, Chief of Protocol, Chinedu Nwoye Glamour amongst others witnessed the epoch event.

PoliticsRe: Obi Cannot Win On Saturday – LP State Chairmen by Suunnn(f): 10:52pm On Feb 23, 2023
Ecstasy154:
State chairmen of the Labour Party (LP) have declared that the presidential candidate of the party Peter Obi cannot win on Saturday.

This, they said, is because he has neglected the 36 State chairmen in the running of campaign and molibisation activities.

Alleging neglect by Obi, they said the former Anambra Governor has failed to recognise the important role of the 36 state chapters’ leadership but choose to work with cronies and support groups.

The Gombe State LP chairman and co-ordinating chairman for the 36 States, Sani Abdulsalam, told reporters in Abuja that such tendencies could affect the party’s performance at the polls.

He was accompanied by the national vice chairman (North East), Mohammed Alkali and the Yobe State chairman, Ibrahim Bukar, amongst others.

He hinted that monies expected to be channelled to polling unit agents through state chairmen or national officers have not been done, stressing the fundamental need for polling unit agents for winning elections.

While bemoaning the paucity of LP’s polling unit agents, among other things, he accused Obi of insensitivity and high-handedness.

Abdulsalam said: “I speak on behalf of 36 state Chairmen of our party in my capacity as the Coordinating Chairman.

“We have never been respected by the party leadership and also our presidential candidate has no respect for our party executives at state levels because Peter Obi deliberately mismanaged our goodwill with the imposition of his members and other support groups that decamped with him in May 2022 to our party.

“Of note, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, was the meeting we had with the National Chairman in the party head office where a discussion was held about the logistics support for state chapters and National officers towards effective Mobilisation of our members for the presidential and National Assembly election on Saturday, February 25, 2023

“To our surprise, the National Chairman said the Presidential candidate has no confidence in all the 36 state chapters’ leadership but would rather choose to work with their cronies and support group that came with him.

“The greatest shock from the National Chairman was that money for agents will not be sent to any State Chairman or National officers except those three NWC members including a woman and that all state Chairmen and 19 other members already picked by Mr Peter Obi himself will be given monies meant for party agents and an alert will be received by 10 pm tonight Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

“As of now, no alert has been received by any State Chairmen and information reaching us confirmed that money was paid based on ethnic and religious consideration because only persons of a particular ethnic group currently run the campaign of Mr Peter Obi in cohort with the National Chairman, has polluted the party.

“As members of the Labour Party National Executive and National Working Committee, it is our considered opinion and informed conclusion that Peter Obi cannot win this election since all party executives have been sidelined. He is not ready and is grossly ill-prepared for the Presidential race.”
