Eyimofe Atake.
Omawumi Akinnifesi is stylish too, she always looks hot on the red carpet.
Ifeoma Williams favours classic, clean cut, elegant pieces and she knows how to rock em IMO.
Sadly, the fashion risk takers i know aren't in the public eye.

Pls if you guys are in Nigeria, where did you get Chimamanda's The Thing Around Your Neck? Last month, I checked at CMS Bookshops & Havilah here in Lagos but they didn't have the book.
I got it from Thisday Media Centre @ The Palms. I heard that it's now available in major bookshops.

Khaled Hosseini's first book, the kite runner was also a sad book. I haven't gotten around reading thousand splendid suns yet but i bet it'll be a really good book.[/quote]You're right. The Kite Runner is sad. But A Thousand Splendid Suns is even better - sadder, i mean  wink

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is kind of sad too. Used to read Danielle Steel when i was younger, i've given up on her though. She took a blood oath with misery grin
TV/MoviesRe: Which Movies Made You Cry? by Suzanne84(f): 10:57am On May 22, 2009
Back in the day it was The Champ and My Girl. Even after all these years i know i'll still cry if i see em again.
United 93 - I.will.never.ever.see.this.movie.again. Blood Diamond and Sometimes in April are tear jerkers too.
For some reason Titanic and Passion of the Christ didn't make me cry though i got really choked up sad
Changeling - Bawled like a baby. And gave me a whole lotta respect for Ms. Jolie. Brillant performance.

LiteratureRe: Where Do You Go To Buy Your Novels? by Suzanne84(f): 4:25pm On May 14, 2009
@ Ifez, Silverbird Galleria is on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. The bookshop is on the first floor, don't worry cuz you won't miss it.
Contrary to what you may have heard, their books are pretty cheap compared to some other bookshops including those on the mainland. I buy most of my books from there.
Also check out Bookworm @ Sweet Sensation Building on Adeola Odeku Str, VI. Their books are more expensive than those at Silverbird though.
Check out CMS Bookshop at CMS and This Day Media Center @ The Palms Shopping Mall in Lekki. You can't miss these shops as well, they're easy to locate.
You'll definitely find the kind of books you're looking for there.
Good luck smiley

I don't know the kind of books that interest you. But try The Color Purple by Alice Walker and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
If you like memoirs, Soyinka's You Must Set Forth at Dawn and Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings are pretty good too.
LiteratureRe: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by Suzanne84(f): 10:02am On Mar 30, 2009
My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

LiteratureRe: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by Suzanne84(f): 5:20pm On Feb 04, 2009
You Must Set Forth At Dawn - Wole Soyinka. A classic memoir in the making, Kongi's prose is flawless.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.
I've got to say that this is a beautiful book. Well written prose, richly textured, the critics have said it all and i think they got it right this time.
