Kingsmeal: The journalist behind the "exclusive" story by People's Gazette, an online tabloid, has finally said he will confess on the reason behind the story he wrote on Obi and Bishop Oyedepo, after the purported leaked audio was bursted as fake news.
The journalist identified as Ayoola Babalola, in the so called exclusive story, said that Peter Obi called on Bishop Oyedepo on the eve to the Presidential Election to help him canvas for votes from Christians in the SW and NC part of Nigeria.
Ayoola, in the story, also said that Peter Obi tried to play the religious card a day to the election.
However, a supposed leaked audio clip which was uploaded to back up the story, has be found out to be a heavily doctored audio using Artificial Intelligence.
In the said leaked audio, Obi responded the said Bishop Oyedepo that he was in Onitsha as would be voting in Onitsha.
A quick check on the internet, revealed that Mr. Peter Obi was in Agulu, his hometown in Anambra state on the eve of election and equally votes with his wife in Agulu, instead of the said Onitsha in the leaked audio.
Following the heat of the expose, the journalist behind the story has come out to say that he will confess.
Replying a Twitter followed who called him out for publishing a fake news, Ayoola made the tweet below.
