SwayG, We all have different destinies. Everyone is advising you to go for professional courses like medicine, radiology etc so you can have a job. The word JOB irks me.

If you know your self-worth, you'll know what to do with all those courses listed there. I studied physiology bro. I've been admitted to do MSc.

I'm a freelancer (on fiverr) running a gig on medical research. Bro, its when I started that gig that I knew there are potentials in every course you study. I can't even sleep at night cos of the orders I get from medical students in the US & other countries.

I write health books and publish them on amazon kindle and CreateSpace.

I run a health blog.

This JOB mentality is what is pushing so many students into making decisions that they live to regret. Before you jump into MBBS (which is not bad in itself), I suggest you have a chat with med students and doctors to find out if they actually enjoy or derive satisfaction from what they do.

I totally agree with you...

I've realized that I'm on my own and the path I choose will affect my life in a long run and I gato do it right with visions I can gather..
I hope I arrive at the path that brings me joy, not the path that will make me keep searching and yearning for more grace to keep up with the pace of life after acquiring my degree..

I recently developed more attraction to SLT as a career due to the fact that I was opportuned to work with one few weeks back. He was really happy with his career, but that's just one person. Another may be more bitter with it than a newly orphaned adult..

I'm really sad I didn't realize much until now..all I can say is that I'm still moving forward towards light..

physiotherapy yes, Medlab No, optometry can't remember if they still accept transfer. But you should know it is 50:50 nothing is guaranteed even if you have 5.0 CGPA

yes you can transfer from MBC to nursing as long as you have a good CGPA but be ready, transfer is now 100k against 50k it was before

what about transferring from SLT to physiotherapy or med lab or optometry..is it possible?

Thank God I'm free from jamb WAHALA forever..this yr was so stressful..
from jamb stress of registration from morning till night for 4days of constant appearance before it finally got to my turn..
jamb mock exam stress after being in the hall from 6am in the morning to 5pm and still, the exam didn't hold. then the postponement came, we finally wrote it and I got 214..

now to the real jamb real exam. my center was in a very far town. arrived a day to my exam, slept in one of the primary school classes close to the institute with some guys, mosquitoes nearly finish my skin..wrote my exam the next day 1pm - 2pm..
the result came I got 242.

now to Uniben post utme stress with no pume issue to cancellation of the exam to no more cancellation..
the date for my post utme was given but ASUU strike came in and they postponed the exam..another date was given buh a day to my exam I logged in my kofa and saw that my date has been changed again, gap of one week ..

I finally wrote the exam and result came in, got 65..
was happy mehn, buh I had to wait to see what ll happen..cos they sometimes go crazy and won't give u admission or change ur course to a useless course..after waiting for more than a month admission list came out and I was among the first set to be admitted.. the joy was awesome..

my reading and night oils finally paid off. now processing my clearance..

pls should I pay my Uniben fees now or wait?

I've collected the cash for all my fees but I dnt know if its advisable to pay now or wait till Uniben settle down, cos u dnt know if the ongoing protest will yield positive result and dnt also know if there ll be implications if I pay my fees late..state of confusion..
acceptance fee 80k, school fees 74k , course reg 23k , hostel 30k, record file 4k and many other dues running up to 250k

first yr fees from 50k to 75k
course reg from 5k to 23k
hostel from 8k to 30k plus many other dues running to 260k
and I'll be paying 45k till I graduate instead of the normal 14k..

Besides, there are those we call Intrapreneurs. And they function within an organisation that is not theirs.

Your chances of getting a job with physiotherapy is at the same level with every other certificates out there. Worry about your present time, the future will take care of itself.

FROM A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE- this admission is based on aphalbetical order, according to ur course of study I.e. if your course starts from letter S, its not yet ur turn cos they've not gotten to S (sociology , SLT etc) also those with letter P ( physiology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, physics, pet engineering etc) and so on..according to my source, he said those admitted are actually those who with letters they are through wirh and they merited it eg bio edu, chemistry, computer sciences, English etc.. although I dnt know the letter thay are in now.. so if u know ur course starts from letter P downwards, just a little more patience..

It's obvious u were displaced cos u ain't among catchment.
Second batch is feasible buh UNIBEN may likely give u another course perhaps ur alternative u choose during PUTME registration.
But u will be admitted.

I can see you want to be in the medical/health line,if so just follow what those above me have said,go for professional courses like Medicine/Dentistry,Physiotherapy,Radiography,Nursing,Medical Laboratory Science trust me you will have an edge and be better off.biochemistry,microbiology,anatomy are all good but not good enough in our dear country of today.crossing to professional courses after your 1st year is not as easy as it seems.Science Laboratory Technology is the best among those courses you listed.at least SLT will give you a little edge in industries and other work related places.mind you they are also licenced to carryout their job, but do not mistake it for Medical Laboratory Science,your SLT lisence does not cover a Medical laboratory.Goodluck with your choices.
