I have seen posts of people complaining GT fund equity withdrawal taking longer time. Maybe they are experiencing some withdrawal issues for equity. I don't think it has anything to do with the direct withdrawal from equity to mmf.

It will enter your wallet after 2days if my memory serves me right. Thereafter, you can invest in MMF

It was not a direct redemption I did. I did a transfer from Equity Income Fund to Money Market Mutual Fund.

It’s over 4 working days now.

Why the express transfer from equity to money market fund, maybe that is why the processing is taking time. I think it would have been faster to withdraw from equity & buy the mmf yourself.

Since you asked for only one stock, I will recommend $GEVO ($5.05 at marker close today). It's a renewable fuels company that should benefit from the policies of the incoming US Govt. You can either buy now or wait for a pullback/dip to buy.

GEVO converts renewable products like crops into conventional fuel products like jet fuel for Airlines and gasoline. I see huge prospects in this coy in the mid to long term, in terms of more revenue from contracts Airlines contract and potential Govt energy subsidies similar to the Federal and State EV tax credits which GM & Tesla used to benefit from. For instance, in the first half of 2020, Tesla tax credit revenues were $782 million.

Crypto stock holders (MARA, RIOT, BTBT, etc), I advise you to bank your profits and wait for the bottom of the dip that is coming from today.

Thats the volatile nature of the crypto currency.

If you can keep buying the dips and selling the peaks, you are good. For example, anyone who bought MARA last Monday is sitting on over 100% profit.
Bailing out today at 20% dip for example will leave you with 80% net profit in one week.

When the dust settles and you see crypto rising again, you take position at the low.

Even though most fundamentally good penny stocks (under $10) have ran up above their intrinsic values, I still see the following stocks gapping up between 20 - 50% in the mid to long term: $GEVO, $PEIX, $OPK, $DVAX, $NNDM, $PLNHF, $CNDT, $HEXO, $SOLO and $CHEK.
Kindly note that penny stocks are more volatile and risky. Hence, still perform proper due diligence (DD) and determine your investing strategy (I.e. target profit, stop loss price and exit price) before investing in any stock(s).
For penny stocks, once you are satisfied with the DD and buy at a good entry price after technical analysis from charts, then you have to be patient and wait for Mr. Market to recognize the value of your stocks at the appropriate time.

However, i will advise you focus on medium to long term and not short term since you are new. Short term trading is more risky meant for traders and not investors.

trove allows you to buy fractional shares but robinhood is yet to do that which is kinda a bummer for us that use it if not i would have made a lot from tesla when it was still at 400usd
the downside of trove is that it charges you per share bought, so if you’re buying any stock you should be sure so you’ll not go and pay extra just to sell at the end and buy again
