Moses in the Quran

The following are the explanations of the quran given by an islamic cleric about Moses. He used the Bible account to narrate the Quran even though he didn't insert biblical quotes there, I did.. If you removed the bible account, the quranic quotes become meaningless.

Infancy

In line with the Judaic view, we find out from the Quran that when Prophet Moses (pbuh) was born in Egypt, his life was in great danger as the Pharoah was persecuting the Israelites.

Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections depressing a group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief. (Quran 28:4)

Where is “he was born in Egypt” in that quranic quote?

What caused Pharaoh to be elated and slew their sons?

Whose sons as no Israelites was mentioned in the quranic quote?

Therefore, Moses’s mother was greatly worried about her son’s fate; then, the Quran specifies that God inspired her to take an unlikely action:

So We sent this inspiration to the mother of Moses: “Suckle (thy child) but when thou hast fears about him cast him, into the river, but fear not nor grieve: for We shall restore him to thee, and We shall make him one of Our messengers.” (Quran 28:7)

Moses’s sister hid and kept watch on the progress of her brother across the river. While the Torah maintains that the Pharoah’s daughter adopted Moses, the Quran differs. In fact, the Pharoah’s wife insisted that they adopt him (Exodus 2:2-4).

The wife of Pharaoh said: “(Here is) a joy of the eye for me and for thee: slay him not. It may be that he will be of use to us, or we may adopt him as a son.” And they perceived not (what they were doing)! (Quran 28:9)

Where is it stated in that quote that Moses’s sister hid and kept watch on the progress of her brother across the river in that quranic quote?

When Moses (pbuh) was hungry, he refused to nurse from any of the foster mothers provided for him. At this point, Moses’s sister posing as a bystander suggested she could bring someone who may be successful in feeding him; unbeknownst to his rescuers, she brought his own mother, a point mentioned in Exodus of the Torah as well. Of course, Moses readily nursed from her and the two were thus rejoined (Exodus 2:7-cool.

Thus did We restore him to his mother that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand. (Quran 28:13)

When dajjal is here, constantinople will still be in the hand of Muslims. i hope you get it like that. Muhammad [sa] did not say that constantinople will fall only when dajjal is on earth. when dajjal arrives, constantinople will still be a muslim community.


Some of the hadiths of Muhammad regarding the end of the world:

Narrated Mu’adh ibn Jabal:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib[Medina] is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth. He (the Prophet) struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said: This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu’adh ibn Jabal).

The conquest of Constantinople was in 1453. Muhammad was wrong.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Busr:
The Prophet said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh.

The Antichrist did not come in 1454 when Muhammad said he would. Wrong again.

Sahih Muslim:
Anas reported that a person asked Allah’s Messenger (p.b.u.h) as to when the Last Hour would come. He had in his presence a young boy of the Ansar who was called Mahammad. Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: If this young boy lives, he may not grow very old till (he would see) the Last Hour coming to you.

So here Muhammad is saying that the last hour would come within this young boy's lifetime, which ended at least 1300 years ago. Wrong again!

when i read the hadith you presented, my brain was able to register the fact that all of the signs have not happened, except the fact that constantinople has became a land of muslims. if the conquering of constantinople is what is sticking your throat, then you do not know what will happen in the future. maybe constantinople will fall into the hands of non muslism. or islam will be so weak in this land that it will be that their returning into Islam, is like conquering it.

The First Battle

His first battle will be against the tribe of Kalb. The Great War

(The author of al-Isha'ah has mentioned that this battle will take place in Imam Mahdi's time).
Imam Mahdi will have to fight many battles, the most important and difficult being the battle against the Christians in which a large number of Muslims will be martyred.

' Yusayr bin Jabir said, "A red sandstorm erupted in the city of Kufah. Afterwards, a man came shouting and repeating the same words, 'O Abdullah bin Mas'ud! The hour has come.' He (Yusayr) then said that he sat up after he was leaning (on his side) and said, ''The hour will not arrive until no inheritance will be divided and no war possessions will bring about satisfaction. ''He pointed with his hands towards Ash-Sham saying, ''An enemy will gather its forces against the followers of Islam.''I said, ''Do you mean Ar-Rum? He said ''Yes.''Then, during this war, fierce fighting will occur. Muslim will ask for a volunteer expedition that will vie to die or return victorious. They will fight until the night separates them. Both sides will return to their camps not yet victorious and the expedition will perish. . . .



Conquest of Constantinople

The great war between the Christians and Muslims will result in the Muslims conquering Constantinople (which is modern day Istanbul) without army by the sheer force of Takbeer (Allahu Akbar).
Abu Hurairah reports that the Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said, ''Have you heard of a town of which a part is in the sea?''
''Yes'' said they. He said: 'The last hour shall not occur till 70,000 of the children of Isaac shall attack it. When they come to it, they (Muslims) will not fight with arms, nor throw arrows. They will only say: There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and then on of its sides will fall down. They will recite for the second time : there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and then another of its side will fall down. After that they will say it for the third time: there is no god but Allah and Allah is the greatest, and then it will be opened for them and they will enter and acquire booty. While they will be dividing the booty, a proclaimer will come to them and proclaim: 'Verily Dajjal has come out. 'Then they will leave everything and return. ' (Muslim)

Let me tell you about Muhammad [sa] the leader of prophets and most beloved to God. God completed and affirm the way of religious pattern that man must adopt to receive guidance. Its Islam. A complete religion guiding from birth to death. I am a muslim and when anything to me and say he is Jesus, i will tell me to read Ayatul Kursi. Then tell him to make prostration to God. if he does, i will with hi make prostration to God. this man writing you manmacho will not worship nothing but God The Creator.

Right from the begining, God always said tht Jesus will come and he will die, as we read from Isaiah.
What would u think of God if, at the very last moment, he changed his mind? What if, after thousands of yrs promising Jesus,

There is absolutely no use of Muhammed as Christ Has done it all. Muhammed missed it. This is where you Muslims err.
God never said Muhammed will replace Jesus in the Scripture. If it was to be, Jesus would say it, that a man will come after Him instead,
He promised His disciple the Holy Spirit, which they recieved very shortly after JESUS ressurected.
This promised was fulfilled many years Before Mohammed was born and till date the Holy Spirit is still conforting believers in Christ.
With the proof of the Holy spirit around us, it is obvious that no other mediator is needed.

and there we read that another comforter will come to guide to all things. what he will hear from God he will say in his guiding to all truth. is that like Jesus finished, everything?

God is a consistent God. He has never been interested in building a religion but a relatioship. Scriptures made plain!

Biblical God is consistent. in OT He is 1. in NT He is reported to be father, son and ghost.

The prophet Isaiah many years before Christ writes: Isaiah 28:12 to whom he said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest"; and, "This is the place of repose"--but they would not listen.

Jesus invites us:
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

All of the struggles to try to do enough for God...Jesus offers us a new freedom.
We experience his love, and we ve a new motivation to please God. It is not out of fear, but out of joy in knowing him. Why should i accept in fear/byforce?

The Apostle Paul experienced this and was inspired to write:

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Every one who believe that Jesus is the son of God, the Messiah? The Christ will keep declaring Romans 8:38-39.

If the Catholic church has not promoted the idea with Interfaith doctrine and went as far as to state in the catechism that the Muslims worship the same God as Christianity and therefore will enjoy the same salvation equally. You Muslim would have gotten no room claiming Biblical prophets to be Islam, Even when Islam arises after the death of all of Them. The idea is that if Abraham were to be alive when Moses was preaching, he would have supported him against pharaoh. Moses would have supported Jesus against the lost sheep of the house of israel and Jesus would have supported Muhammad against disbeief.


The flaw in all this is that you begin with the unproven assumption that Muhammad is a prophet and the Quran is the word of God.

is there any other way? Moses became a prophet at the burning bush. was anyone there to witness it, but that we believed Moses was honest? Muhammad [sa] was amin [the truthful]. so what disqualifies Muhammad [sa] from being a prophet and what qualifies Moses as prophet and who can absolutely say a person is a prophet of God, except God Himself? if i use the bible to qualify a prophet, in ot and nt, whatever qualifies a person as prophet, Muhammad [sa] fits each to a t.

Also, the Bahai claim that Baha'ullah is the next prophet after Muhammad, and they cite Quranic verses as backup. Why is Baha'ullah then not considered a Muslim?

i dont know who bahai and baha'ullah are. Allah answers them in the same Quran. chapter 33 where Muhammad is stated as the last/seal of prophets. no prophet will come after him. he also emphasized that in his sunan. you and baha and baha'ullah are liars.
