Grupo: POF for one person is around 12,000CAD which is approximately 3.3m
If you read the story, she traveled with her husband. And she also added her wedding cost which was around 2.5m.
If the cost was only 2m, all Nigerians would have been in Canada now. Why would you add wedding cost to costs incurred in relocating? I gave birth here should I add the costs too as part of my relocation cost? She could have gone to registry and pay only $200, why didn't she? How is POF in your account a cost please? People have landed and not use the POF, so should they keep including it in the cost of relocating. Anyways it's a blog, na them know |

stagger: POF for couple is 4.4m. You also pay some money to the CAD govt for the residency document. Then flight tickets and initial accommodation: Abi una go sleep under snow? I got house before I landed, we didn't spend up to "8.8m" for family of 3. The POF is your money in your account. So is it a cost? |

How did it cost 8.8million? the maximum amount should be 2million, inclusive of IELTS, Wes, medicals, police report, application fee. The proof of funds is for them to keep and use in settling down. |

drhammed: Sorry to ask bro,
Are you still using Nigerian passport? I mean you applied for US visa with Nigerian passport and got 10yrs Visa . Or is it another visa type and not B1/B2?. My opinion is that, US only grants 2yrs visa (B1/B2 category) for Nigerians (atleast that's what I and friends that I know have) even though I applied and got it in Canada. Permanent residents usually get 10years |

Eefy12288: A couple of questions, I have a brother who just got his permanent Canadian residency approval but said he'd be fully confirmed by 2021(he'd be able to be voted for a public office and invite family members). So I want to know what I can do to be eligible for the invite. I'm a graduate, currently a business person, have portions of land and this is my first attempt of traveling outside Nigeria. Any suggestions from those who may have gone through the process? What does he mean by fully confirmed? When you get your PR visa and land in Canada, you become a permanent resident from that day (can vote in some elections but not national election until you are a citizen and invite family) he should get a job first before inviting people. You stay for 2years in a 5year period so you can renew the PR, or stay 3years, write exam, pass and become a citizen. You should work on your travel history, account balance and family/home ties. There's no law that states you must get a visa because your brother is there. There are different types of visas sha. |

Orange1234: Hello Liz019. Please do you mean you were charged 210 USD for every KG OVER 23kg of your required 2 luggages OR you were charged 210 USD for EACH BAG as you stated meaning that even if the bag weighed 112kg, a person would still pay 210USD? Each overweight bag is 210USD. Each bag can not weight more than 32kg. If it is, you cargo it. |

SirWahl1: As a US permanent resident, I did not need a VISA to visit Canada, All I did was pay about $30 at the airport and an ETS was printed for me.
I guess it will be same thing for a person who has a Canadian permanent residence while visiting US He needs a visa. Only Canadian passport can get you into US without visa. He's not yet a permanent resident as he hasn't landed. All he has is a visa. No PR card/SIN etc |

Go to the airline website, Select "book a ticket" or something close to that, Select your dates and departure/arrival time. Then book on hold. They will send you an email confirming your ticket is booked on hold. Print that out and use it for your application. |
