Well, I love wengers ways of addressing problems, I love and would like to apply that to my life. The arsenal philosophy has thought me a lot in life, No matter how bad it is, just address the problem,and try to solve it with a positive approach.

On the nature of the defeat…
“It’s very difficult. You can be very positive or very negative. We lost the game 4-1 which is a major disappointment but I feel going forward we had a very interesting game and created plenty of chances. That is never a 4-1 game, we should have been 2-0 up before they had a shot on goal. On the first free-kick we made a mistake and they scored. Today we missed seven or eight clear-cut chances and on every single mistake we made we were punished.”
On his side’s poor defending…
“It means our chances to come third are definitely over. The rest I don’t feel will have any other influence than that. We conceded four at Liverpool, three against Man United and four today. We have to improve the way we defend.

“You wouldn’t like to come out when you lose 4-1 and say ‘listen, we are going to buy four defenders’. I believe we have quality defenders and it’s more a case of balancing the team defensively than the quality of our defenders. If you look at the second goal we could have done much better in midfield than at the back.”

On missing out on third place in the Premier League…
“We had a small opportunity to come third but three months ago everybody said we would finished tenth so I would have signed at that point to finish fourth. I don’t feel we have to be too disappointed with that but what is very disappointing for us is in the games that mattered in the last three or four weeks we couldn’t win. That’s where we have to analyse. But today there were a lot of positives in the game and we have to take a little distance from the defeat because it’s not a 4-1 game today.”

On dealing with two heavy home defeats in a week…
“It is difficult but this is a job for strong people. When you decide to live in a competitive world you have to deal with that – we cannot complain. It is a bit more difficult when you are young but when you are young you want to be challenged. That is a good opportunity to show we have the mental strength that is needed at this level.”

On the free-kick that led to the first goal…
“We live in a League now where the divers are rewarded. It’s not right but it is like that. I don’t think the free-kick should have been given but it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t win the header afterwards. I believe we must live in our job where the referee makes some decisions for you and some against. But defending consequently you should clear the ball on the cross.”

On watching his side miss chances…
“I still feel I was more worried in February when we were drawing 0-0 without creating a chance. Today I feel we created the chances and had an interesting game. When you see that in a team it’s always easier to correct what doesn’t work defensively; if you don’t create chances you are always more worried.”

Barça a step closer to league titleJordi Clos

The heroes of the Bernabeu and Stamford Bridge make a triumphant return to the Camp Nou tonight knowing that a win against Villarreal will mathematically clinch the league title for FC Barcelona.

Victory tonight would put the perfect finishing touch to what has been a fabulous week for all Barça fans. It started last Saturday with a 2-6 annihilation of Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu that all but ended any faint chance that the title could be torn away from Barça’s grasp. Four days later, Barça stormed through to the final of the Champions League thanks to Iniesta’s superb injury-time goal in the second leg in London . In both cases the Canaletes fountain filled with Barça fans to celebrate the team’s achievements.

3 points clinch league title

But the icing on the cake would be a win tonight that would hand Barça the La Liga crown in front of the Camp Nou faithful. Saturday’s 3-0 defeat for second-placed Real Madrid away to Valencia means that Barça just need three more points to make their lead unassailable. The much-desired treble crown is getting closer.

The first of the three titles will arrive tonight with a win against the Yellow Submarine. The second, the Kings Cup, will be decided in Wednesday’s final against Athletic Club in Valencia. The third will have to wait until 27th May when Barça take on Manchester United in the Champions League Final in Rome.

Henry injury setback

Against Villarreal, Barça manager Pep Guardiola will be without Thierry Henry , who has knee ligament damage and is receiving special treatment to get him fit in time for the Rome final. Meanwhile, Milito and Márquez remain unavailable due to injury while Pedro has dropped out of the senior squad to play for the reserves.

Villarreal have travelled to Barcelona with a 19-man squad. Manager Pellegrini is missing two of his first team regulars, Marcos Senna and Santi Cazorla, and has decided to drop Guille Franco.

It promises to be a great night of football between two of the most attractive teams in La Liga. For Barça, a win will hand them the league title while for Villarreal a good result will strengthen their bid for a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League. Wayne Rooney has laughed off comparisons between him and Lionel Messi and thinks that the Argentinian has a few more tricks up his sleeve that makes him one of the best players ever.
Terry Venables said that the duo were similar when playing wide on the left up front, but the Manchester United forward does not agree and explained why.

“I don’t think I’ve quite got his trickery but Messi is one of my favourite players and one of the best ever," the Daily Star quote him as saying.

Rooney and Messi will be on opposite sides of the ball in the Champions League final in three weeks' time and 'Wazza' is delighted about getting the chance to defend their title in Rome.

“It would be amazing and, hopefully, we can do it. We set out at the start of the ­season to retain the title and be the first team to do it. We’re so close now to doing that. To be honest, I don’t really think about these things that much," he continued.

“You have to take each season as it comes.

"It’s only when people actually talk to you about doing it that you realise what an achievement it would be.

“I think the team is a lot better than when I first joined when I was 18, Cristiano Ronaldo was 19, Darren Fletcher was 20.
