Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 7:48pm On Feb 24, 2011
To all that may disagree with my point of view and may be planning on re-posting and posting any "personal" towards my post should forget it.It's not worth it.I resigned myself 1am this morning,Nigerian time whiles doing my research with most satmates fast asleep,that i wouldn't bother myself trying to sensitize my fellow mates on this particular forum(beginning to understand the mentality).Besides,that's the job of it's administrators.I'm on to bigger and better things and as always,i will help anyone and everyone(even those i don't agree with) as and when the need arises.*No love lost,no love found*.Peace.

@All,
Frequency 12.284(H)/27.497 is back on air on Eutelsat w4/w7.Channel number has increased to 23 with channel names such as Dubai Sports,Press TV,HBO CAS BLACK,Channel 32 MTV,and others appearing in the channel list though some have nothing being transmitted on them for now.This frequency looks promising.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 12:08am On Feb 24, 2011
@swordswifter

just because it is free today does not mean that it will remain free for ever, the more people that enjoy it while it is free the better for all of us. try and share as much as can especially when it has too do with temporarily FTA channels. they are left free to air for a reason.
@Olofofo,
If that's the case,no problem.I will be in total support of posting everything including the names of channels that are supposed to be paid as fta.But since we all aren't 100% sure it's temporarily fta at the moment,a little and i mean a little,bit of caution wouldn't hurt,would it?Anyway,I'm going to find out what the actual plans for that bird is as I've said so there no need for any continued discussions.NB*I'm all for sharing but when it comes to some fta infos,i strongly believe sharing in a controlled manner is the best way to go*.Peace.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 11:14pm On Feb 23, 2011
@Gadotor,
Maybe you are right.But the whole idea is that we pretend we are not looking or not bothered about them so they relax their restrictions over there to our own benefit.By the way,I'm still doing some more research so i hope to find out the actual intentions for this bird soon.Have a good night my brother.As for odilibe,you are an insignificant imp to poke your nose where it doesn't belong.The post was a direct one and a conversation between too countrymen.*You only get what you ask for*
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 10:12pm On Feb 23, 2011
@Gadotor,
I thought you have changed.Isn't it enough that the person asking for the channel list is told of the frequency and that he can receive it wherever he/she is and that the channels are good?Do you have to list them before you know you have helped a fellow satmate?Why do you always have to act in a deviant way sometimes?If you are very young in the satellite world and don't know a lot of history,let me enlighten you.
I'll go back about 6 or 7 years ago.We had etv,sabc1,sabc2 and sabc3 on pas 10k which is now intelsat10k.Because nagra1 was hacked,people bought stbs just for these 4 channels.Dstv saw they were loosing potential clients so informed sentech who too all the sabc channels off that bird to 902c.Still stbs were being bought(which weren't for dstv) and people didn't care because etv showed alot of football games.Then sentech decided to change the encryption to nagra3 which has until now been the end of fta on intelsat 10.Then we had Daarsat on intelsat 907k.Over 47 channels of a mix of nigerian and foreign contents where all for free.That was only on condition that people by daarsat decoders.This never happened.People bought their own mpeg 4 decoders to the detriment of the operators of daarsat which led to their collapse.Infact,there was practically a shortage of 90cm dishes and mpeg4 decoders because people couldn't keep their mouths a bit shut.After this,those who had extra dishes had to tune them to w3a just because they will have a weekly dose of premiership matches to watch on the weekends.Those who had large dishes were still enjoying their sabc channels on intelsat 902c.Then astra 2b came*As for we all know it has come for all fta lovers*.Then we had w2a c with over 50 channels from startimes.This one too because of too much talking,they all went scrambled.Then the worldcup began and intelsat 902 went dead.We thought that was the end till the kenyan mux appeared on w4/w7.As for them,we thought they have come to stay till our dear dstv people decided they were causing them to loose money*All because people couldn't stop making noise about them*.So what do they do,they buy them all off to a satellite where they know majority will not be able to access.Then everything went stale again.Out of the blue,they decide to give as some of their own channels for a whole 3 months*Just to get people hooked to their service so that when they take them off,you'll be urged to subscribe*.Just some few days ago,some channels appeared on the same w4/w7.Now they are no more.So if by some astronomical chance some thing such as this has arrived,don't you want to protect it?Do you think they will sit around for something others are paying for to be received free of charge by everyone?If you want to help people,no one is saying you shouldn't but you have to consider the times that we are in and act accordingly.What we are receiving now is very likely from sentech.The beam is strong in SA and that's their main focus.We are just feeling a little bit of the cool winds blowing from their region.If this information and any others as such are not well handled.We are going to loose such great things like this as fast as they came.I hope you bear with me and exercise restraint on matters such as these.Thanks

@ALL,more free channels on Intel 17 at 66.0E ku like etv and mnet.Its even possible to combine 2 lnbs with 68.5E ku.Tracking frequency is 11515 H 11735 UNISA.Try it and you wont regret.Viva fta and mpeg4
Track intelsat 17 with 11515 h 1735 and also 11557 h 22654 to get etv,e Africa,blitz,mstar, mpeg4
Recievable in Nigeria/Africa.
@Ilish and yemoxtra,
Thanks for the great post.I hope our people don't talk so much so it goes off like the others.Some noticeable dollar signs are on some of the channels anyway.That's just by the way.Once again thanks.

Anyone with news on 66e intel 17 ku in west africa.l,m using 2.4m mesh it,s seem it not able to track in west africa.how abt those on solid,we expect your post on this sat.thank you
The signal is a bit low but it's loud and clear on my 1.8m solid here in Accra.A good installer with a 90cm dish can pick Intelsat 17 and Intelsat 10 all on the same dish.Try again or check your lnb alignment.

@Swordswifter,the website persiangig is up and running, As with you bro,you share alot of stuff at RDI board site.Pls keeping info to yourself will not get us anywhere.Be like a veteran,share and people will share what they know too.Its not everythng that you know but you can still learn one or two stuff from us.
My brother,
That is the whole point of having forums as i have indicated in the bolded statement you have above but still,in this rapidly changing world we live in it's not everyone that can be trusted.Some of the very enemies of fta are right here with us disguising themselves as enthusiasts just to typhoon information from us.As a veteran,you'll learn to know sharing information is good but not all information must be shared.As for your last statement i'm ignoring it.When you read some of my posts on rdi,you'll know you didn't have to make that statement.I'll hit you in your in you PM soon.

You Guys,
You see what i was talking about yesterday,about the primary and secondary sources of information and how they should be handled?!Just look at what it has caused us now;
Data Transfer Limit Reached
Dear Visitor, This website has reached the data transfer limit and is not available.
This is what you find when you go there this morning.When we talk,people don't want to listen.They just want to do what they feel like.For those of you who know the site(persiangig).You can verify for yourself.And to think,if i get i new hub,i will share it?!Hell no,only those that can handle information are worthy of obtaining it.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 8:41am On Jan 10, 2011
I,m now enjoying the new 1.11p software,very wonderful,H/W VERSION:1,00 BOOT VERSION :5.10   CH VERSION A021 boot version is 5:10 alittle higher than other softwares ,and with time shedules icon on sceen as well,good picture and superior sound out-put,no problem with rdv,26e badr 5/ku scambleds.download from    www.******.**********.com  .thank you
You know something my brother.I know you are so enthusiastic and overzealous about fta and stuff but you have to be a little bit discreet at times.You go about posting some stuff without regards for it's future consequences.Why should you be posting primary sources of information whiles there are numerous other secondary sources.Look at twinskenny and love4sat,when newbies ask for softwares,they direct them to crosat,sat-universe,and a whole lot of other smaller file sites.eg.
go to sat upload center on www.crosat.us

your problem is solved
and
Or try www.sat-universe.com
.
Why can't you do the same?What will happen if one day you woke up and your favourite site is no more due to the fact that every tom,dick and harry now knows the place so there is a server overload.Or maybe providers are now aware of the site so have intended,sued the site for hosting the files.Or just maybe,because it is now common place to access the site,the uploader's IP has been tracked and now he's been jailed so now no more updates.Do you sincerely think those files are legal?A lot of us know this site years even before you got to know yet we don't go around spreading it like you do.Look at another post you made
My brother at kumasi ECG you ask me something time ago that whather you can give some channels on 26e badr 5/ku the answer is yes if you are on followings softwares 1.20p, 1.21p, 1.10p and the new 1.11p softwares,you will be able to see these scambled channels,CINEMA STAR,CUISINE,PIWI,TELETOON,ENJOY YOURSELF.THANK YOU
.You could have simply said you can watch these             channels rather than indicating they were are scrambled.Which means you are stealing it.What if an agent canal+ is reading this now?Posting itself is an art.You just have to learn it.This is not a personal attack on you but a reminder to you and all other satmates who behave in the same unregulated or uncontrolled manner is that,the reason why we always get what we get,for all these years and still enjoying it is because we've learnt how to handle the information we get so the people who always put their necks on the line to discover them are always more than happy to share what they know with us.A typical example is the G-group.I'm sure it was because of the way people are not able to handle some sensitive information that was why that group was created.A word,

@swordswifter

soldering and re soldering and it still heats up. i have a 4900 and a 4910 with the same problem. I have had to order some USB FANS to cool them down while they work.

@salamander

the problems seems to start when u start to use it extensively for card sharing which is basically what i did. even strong themselves know about the problem. simply putting a cooling fan in the device form the factory level might just solve the problem.
@olofofo,
I can see you really know this problem.It's funny though,if it were somewhere else(let's say Europe etc) all the models will be recalled and replaced with better models with no questions asked.With this our hot climate they only thought it better to put those fans in their Dual view decoders and PVR decoders with internal harddrives.This is the only time in over a decade since i used these receivers that they seem not to have lived up to expectations.I'll after your soldering and re-soldering(i.e. of the memory or SDRAMs) if it's still freezing,test your other components like the capacitors and the resistors.The circuit is so interrelated that if just one component starts to show signs of weakness,the receiver will start freezing.Take it from me,i've actually taken my time to study it.You should also not work it for over 24hrs straight or within your next 48hrs,the disease will rear its' ugly head.I hope we can share more thoughts on this in the future.Have a pleasant evening.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 12:33pm On Dec 27, 2010
will think twice before buying the 4900 and 4910 though. a lot of complaints from people using cccam on it, it tends to overheat and freeze.

guess thats a general problem especially with 4900hd guess is hardware problem as well.
I just acquired Strong 4930. It is HD but not has no terrestrial capabilities but good for CS. So far there is no problem. I will keep monitoring it and will update the house on her performance.
Hi Salamander,
That's nice to hear,you know i also had all those problems but after working on my board a little,it all went away.I have not tried my CS since i did all those tweaking but i'm sure it will work out fine.What i noticed was that with these range of receivers,there seems to be a problems at the production line.You have to make sure some key components are well soldered.Just a simple IC not well placed will cause you so much headaches.Well i'm happy with mine now and i hope it still performs for me just the way it doing at the moment.Sathob,my greetings to you my brother.I'm just sad i couldn't help you save some money on your receiver.I would have fix it just like that.Anyway,a Merry Christmas to you all and a very exciting and fulfilling New Year.We shall still learn more.

@all
our friends from kenya on the international forum are saying a new generation platform,'KISS TV',has began operations & that 'they' have rights for UCL,BUNDESLIGA & some EPL MATCHES.the source even said they showed the europa cup match involving lastnight. there is however no fix on the bird they are on presently nor is there any concrete website for them. one thing is for sure,if they are active & trackable within our yards,we should all be forthcoming with any news we have on them. there is no harm in giving them a trial.
@kungu
this one is for you as well
@swordswifter
Any update on the info above?
Hi Freshprince,
That channel has been there for a very long time.If you remember very well this year they partnered with KBC1 to show the world cup on w4/w7 when the kenyan mux was still around.Unfortunately for us,their beams are no where near our backyard unless ofcourse,someone with a dish that has off beam tracking capability i.e. it can track fringe satellites.If my memory serves me right i think they were on nss12 ku.I'm not sure where they are now.

@Gadotor.Unfortunately this forum does not have a private inbox for each member so i couldn't have sent it to you.No pun was intended but still,i still maintain the fact that i do not do emails for reasons i've made very clear. Those who know me will tell you that. Anyway i think your passion for satellite Tv in general is very commendable so keep it up.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 8:17am On Dec 05, 2010
@Gadotor,i've seen your email.I'll save it and get to you in due time but i'm still entreating you not to be so open with your personal contacts like that.You can't even imaging the amount of information one can get with just your email address.Your entire history is like an open book to the world.The web is not even safe as it is.Just be careful.And one other thing,you do not need to answer all the questions that are raised here,you'll soon become a target.@ all other forum members this also goes the same,i think we must be able to restrain ourselves from paying notice to very 'excuse me to say' useless questions.From the place i "grow up" and where i call "home",even if you are a "guru" and you ask such questions no one will mind you.It will always be what it is-just a question.I believe if such is adopted here it will tone down a little.@salamader and sathob,i almost have the money.I'm sure we'll be working on it soon.

@gabator,
i don't know if the question is directed to me but what i do know is our conversation so far gives all the relevant info you would want to know about this guy.His country is not important.What is,is the fact that it a ku beam and since its on pas7/10,it only means he is within the S.A. beam.Still that does not matter to us because it's the same nagr 3 they use on all their sats except for astra 4a(top tv) so if one is clear,all the rest is.Now he mentioned he has been watching it for about 3yrs now until last when he tried to input those biss.This only goes to show he rarely upgrades his stb or where the sw is coming from is a unique source.Still in any case from my experience you can't ask him to devulge that source since it usually comes with strict rules.What you are after is the codes which is easy to extract once the channel is up and running so that's what we must focus on right now-helping him get his channels back then we can also have what we want.The rest is not important.Ps.The frequency is on one of his earlier post.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 9:06pm On Nov 26, 2010
@Candyman,
for information purposes its not all the decryption codes on your favourite stb that you can see with your naked eyes when input the numbers to open the key edit table.Some of the codes are embedded in the particular patch you are using(some select few are using special patches on their stbs.I was prevy to be one of those few some time back).Anyway with those patches you won't get anywhere except from the source(some people will know what i'm talking about).Now to prevent the unfortunate event of you loosing that invaluable software,after you have tried aka tonero's method and it fails,write down all your currently active codes(keys) and reset you stb to factory settings.I know i will be tidious but i want to help you help me kill two birds with one stone.If it was embedded,it will definitely show in the clear.(i'm investing my time and energy in this because i have a stake in it.I want to extract those codes).You can also use the clue i gave lovala to find me.I'm not able to express myself fully here."Let's search for knowledge and everything else will follow"
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 8:33pm On Nov 26, 2010
@cescyfrank,
i don't do emails.If you want that info speak to your own countrymen.They know more than what they'll lead you to know.(Nigeria is the silicon valley of Africa and thats a fact).I'll ask you to hang around for a while,open your ears and eyes wide and in time you will not even have to ask these questions.Enjoy your evening.

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 4:18pm On Nov 26, 2010
@Candyman,
from your information i can say you are geographically positioned south of our equator.Still,the news of you viewing those channels up until 2 days ago is quite fascinating.Maybe your receiver was on the day the codes were being changed and managed to store them or you had a special kind of sw but its not uncommon for some keys to change automatically whiles saving them(though it rarely happens).If you say you have a way of getting the sw back.Try and get it on your stb and give me a hint.I'll contact you outside the forum to teach you how to extra your S*bc code and how to edit your biss table.For the mean time i'll be doing my research with the info you have given me.I hope it all works out well for you.(your success is our success)
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 5 - The Final Part) by swordswifter: 12:32pm On Nov 26, 2010
@Candyman.
We understand but what we want to be clear on is your time-line ie.when it exactly occurred.This will enable us evaluate the situation precisely.We are not after any keys so you can go ahead and give your feedback.The frequency which was used then at the time will also be very helpful so those of us who want to know more can know what to fish out for when doing our research.Thanks!

Nowadays it seems i always visit here just to unwind.You guy don't know what you have yet it seems some of you don't take it seriously.I'm not in any "secret circle" or "g group" yet i always find what i'm looking for.Why?Because i search and never seize to ask questions.It's the attitude of "know it all" and selfishness that is not making us as africans develop.You can keep any information you have when it will do a greater good when its unknown than when its known.Still,lets venture out into the unknown and make this forum a place to store our valuable info rather than always displaying our illiteracy and making a mockery of such a wise and noble cause.
