Mourinho has turned Spurs to a team of jerks, liars and cunts. There was absolutely no foul in the build up to that Cavani goal that was canceled. But Spurs milked it so much that they sent treatment to Son for nothing just to make it seem like he was really in pain and that is probably what made the ref cancel the goal. Bunch of cheats.

Crime / Re: Isn't This Sexual Harassment? by SyIvalord: 11:00pm On Apr 10, 2021
Hintona:
Some weeks ago I was writing exams, the exams venue was one of the school's laboratory, and the stools were quite uncomfortable, if you've ever been to a school's laboratory you would know what I'm talking about and sometimes the stools are too high for the lab bench and it causes great discomfort. The most comfortable position for me after sitting erect on the stool for over an hour was to lower my back and arch it.

So as I was writing the exams, I can remember I was trying to draw a pathway, when the lecturer invigilating us tried to pass behind me and he touched my butt and said "shift this your small bumbum from the road" and laughed. I found it very offensive. I was so focused on writing that exam that I didn't want to answer him, it's not the kind of course students would like to write twice.

I wasn't the only one on that row who was blocking his path but he told the others merely to shift.

So today I was telling a friend about it and he laughed and said it was nothing. Nothing? Was it your butt that was touched? Right it wasn't and so it's so easy for him to say it is NOTHING. A stranger's hand on your butt is SEXUAL HARASSMENT.

What sort of world am I living in?

Next season we will still play 2-3 games weekly so, I don't know when we will have time to learn the basics as a team...
What exactly do you mean by “Basics”? I do not think we have any problem with doing the basics, I think our problem is mastering and constantly executing intricate passing, off the ball movement to open up passing lanes, forward runs and positioning to ensure that a passing option is always available.

Next season we won’t play as regularly as this season. Unless on UCL weeks, the first team will majorly play once a week. You cannot compare this season to a normal season in terms of frequency of matches at all. There will be more time to practice on the training ground. Also, we will at least have some semblance of a preseason. Are you forgetting that we had no preseason preparation this season? Preseason is supposed to be a time to work on tactics and patterns. We did not have that opportunity this season so it’s understandable that the players have not yet mastered what needs to be mastered in other to make the team’s pattern of play clear. Although, now one can see glimpses of what the team is trying to do.

Passing and movements are what make the pattern of other great teams obvious and that's mostly down to proper coaching...If our players are not doi g what is expected, how then do you allude to the fact that we are playing whatever pattern...It's like saying a team is playing possession football yet they hardly ever keep the ball because their players keep losing it...It only becomes possession football when they keep the ball well even under pressure...
When some players constantly lose the ball because of lose touches or taking too many touches, it is difficult for them to create any sort of pattern. The manager can be blamed for many things but he cannot be blamed for a player being unable to hold on to the ball and progress it quickly. Pep for instance always goes for midfielders who can hold on to the ball and progress it even in tight spaces because such players are important to his setup. We have midfielders who have lose touches and are prone to losing the ball when pressed. This problem can be corrected on the training field,(or maybe we can just bin the guilty players) but like I said earlier, there is not enough time between games for the team to work hard enough on the training pitch. Bruno said he cannot even practice free kicks because Ole always sends him in to rest (obviously because Ole doesn’t want him to be fatigued before the next game.

I can see what the team is trying to do, but lose touches or bad passes always ensure that the pattern breaks down too quickly. Rome wasn’t built in a day and not everything can be taught. It’s either we dispose of players who always lose the ball or we teach them how to hold on to the ball long enough for passing options to become available. Likewise, it’s either we dispose of players who always stand still and expect the ball to feet or we teach them how to make smart movements. These things are not easily taught. Especially not when the team barely have time to train properly.

I watched Madrid vs Liverpool, they employed a possession approach to beat the press of Liverpool and in other instances they opted for counter attack and at all times, they were well placed to execute whichever method they choose thanks to their midfield that controlled the pace of the game and their attackers who used their positioning (Benzema) and pace (Vicinius) to good effect.
Are you comparing Madrid’s midfield to ours? How can we employ the possession game as effectively as Madrid when we have Fred and Mctominay who are not press resistant and cannot pass between the lines to save their lives? Are you expecting Fred and Mctominay to offer the same quality Kroos, Casemiro, Modric offers? Apart from the fact that Madrid has a better all round midfield, they have had a lot of years together. Their possession play is better because they have the midfield for it. Our midfield is just not there yet.

If we play a possession game as you suggested, what percentage of possession do we have in the opposition half? How many goal scoring chances do we create?
Patrick, when a child starts learning to walk, he/she starts by standing while holding onto things, then he/she starts standing on her own and with time that child will start walking with more assured steps. If the parents of that child support the child by holding his/her hand and practice walking around with them every day, the learning process will be a lot quicker but If the parent let the child do it all on his/her own, it will take a longer time for the child to start walking. If the parents always stop the child from standing at all and always carries the child on their back, that child will be crawling when all his/her mates are already running.

Liken the above description to United. We want to play a possession game. In other to master it quickly we need a lot of practice but unfortunately practice time is very limited for the team right now. Our case now is like the child that wants to walk but is unable to practice walking for whatever reason. We cannot just master possession football in a few training sessions. The fact that we don’t do it properly doesn’t mean we don’t try to do it.

Also note that we did not play this way last season. Last season was all about the low block and counter attack. This season is about high press and keeping the ball in the opposition’s half.

It is clear that we are not there yet, but it is also clear that we will get there.

Ole fan boys will defend him even if we get relegated...
First of all, I have probably said this several times, but let me say it one more time. I am a Manchester United fan, not an Ole fan. The fact that I don’t Criticize Ole needlessly or call him demeaning names or use #killthebastard or blame him for things that are not his fault or insult when Fred loses the ball or when Rashford runs into traffic time and time again doesn’t mean I am an Ole fanboy. Unlike some people, I just understand that there are some things Ole can be blamed for and there are somethings that are not his fault at all. You guys have a tendency to deflect questions by tagging people as Ole fanboys. I believe that is just a defence mechanism by you guys. The way you guys use. That term “Ole fanboy or the more annoying Olesexual”, it’s as if daring to support the manager of one’s team makes ones opinion automatically faulty.

When Madrid had Ronaldo alongside a younger Marcelo and a fit Carvajal, they played a fast pace direct football using their wings to devastating effect...

Now, with Ronaldo gone and Marcelo old, they rely more on their midfield to control possession and hurt their opponents...
Is this what pattern of play means to you? If this is your definition of pattern of play, then I can also tell you United’s pattern of play.

A team’s pattern of play depends on the players available. When Madrid had fast attackers and fullbacks, they employed a devastating counterattacking tactic, always looking to hurt opponents on the break, this is similar to what Ole wants to do with United. We look to win the ball in midfield and quickly hit the opponent on the break but since this is the Epl where most teams wouldn’t even push enough bodies forward to leave spaces for counterattacking to be a major tactic, we have begun to look to control the game more by pressing high up the field and pinning the opponent to their half. The problem with us is that our players do not move the ball quickly enough sometimes, or there is not enough movement by the players to open up passing lanes and when the midfielders become frustrated by the lack of passing options, they just pass sideways or try to force a forward pass and they end up losing the ball. Our problem is not lack of a pattern but inability to execute that pattern effectively multiple times. I believe with more work on the training ground, the team will get better but this season has been so tough that the players barely get time to train. How can they train properly when they play every 3 days? Those boys mostly just do recovery work and prepare for the next game. They barely have time to work properly on the training ground or else they will be fatigued before the match day.

Come to United and you don't know what exactly Ole is trying to do, we can't defend, our midfield play is one of the worst in the league and in attack, there's nothing to write home about but no, let's defend Ole like we are programed to do so...Una go tire.
There it goes again, trying to discredit an opinion by calling people Ole supporters as if that is an inexcusable crime. Not everything is black or white Herr Patrick. Sometimes you have to put hate for Ole aside and view things from a different perspective. Not every post that tries to show you that you are wrong about Ole is defending him. Sometimes, you are just wrong
