Politics › Re: SSS Invades Channels Tv by syke80(f): 1:20pm On Sep 18, 2008
well to me both parties went to d extremes. Why should channels tv go into broadcasting such a sensitive news without confirmation. When BBC, CNN and so on do that its to other countries because they feel their own countries should not be disintegrated.   And in any case, two wrongs can't make a right, closing  down Channels Tv does not portray good governance on the part of the federal Govt. they should have been warned first. that is my opinion i may be wrong but thats the way i feel and understand the whole stuff. afterall there are better crucial problems in this country to flex muscles at by the federal Govt.

No one is disputing the fact that channels did wrong, but what are we talking about, there several foreign  news stations who have committed similar blunders and were handled in such a way that such blunders have never been repeated again. We are definitely not in the military regime here, so why has the court been replaced by the SSS. I really think that old man need go Bk for a proper check up, there is probably a brain tumour growing somewhere in that head of his. Jesus, were  the places of sanction, has it been flung through the window? this is rather an appalling and shameful situation.
If he misses the military regime so much(since he is so power hungry), then let it be done properly, so we know we are leaving in a military regime (because he just takes decisions without considering the opinion of the masses).
Ya you are right there, there are more major things to focus on and better use for the SSS than this. just sort of reminds me of my cat that keep chasing roaches instead of the real thing(Rats) while leaving the bloody rats to wak my bags. Yo old man u better start setting your priorities right.
Education › Re: Nigerians And Spelling Errors! It Keeps Getting Worse! by syke80(f): 1:12pm On Sep 02, 2008
It's appaling that a large population of our so called educated Nigerians still make simple spelling errors in writing and speech.
Examples:
1. This particular one irritates the hell out of me! -  DEFINITELY AS OPPOSED TO DEFINITELY
2. INTERNATE AS OPPOSED TO INTERNET
3.I have also seen GOOD MOURNING AS OPPOSED TO GOOD MORNING.
and others too many to mention. Please kindly come up with other errors so people can be informed, It is disgraceful because most of these word are basics that shouldn't be Miss-spelt

There is something called contributions, if u had nothing reasonable to say, you should`t have bothered posting a topic or your topic should have sounded more like the spelling error most of us make(its called playing safe) instead of being judgemental, u can see that you are now the specimen for today`s lashing cry. i hope you have learnt from your mistakes. waiting i dey even dey talk sef, y you no even do spell check first before u post, thats what its 4, so take note from today, so Dem no go fry u next time.
Romance › Why Would Guys Rather Fall In Love With Mean & Saucy Girls Than Nice Ones by syke80(op): 5:11pm On Aug 14, 2008
i have observed that the guys seam to prefer ladies that treat them badly(saucy, nasty and bitchy to them), the more they receive these treatment from the ladies, the deeper they seam to fall 4 them. U can even bang the door on their faces, they will still come back apologising irrespective of the fact that they wherein`t even at fault in the first. really its confusing, should a naturally nice lady turn nasty to get the attention of the man she wants.someone please tell me.
Career › Re: Is £900 A Day The Right Reason To Work In Nigeria by syke80(f): 5:30pm On Aug 11, 2008
men! that`s a pretty good offer, i`ll say go 4 it, after all, as they say"all die na die" be it  accidental or peaceful. so u will die when u are meant to ok.nothing to worry about. take the job and as the guys have said, be prepared @ all times(keep your wife and kid well provided for), because death can come @ anytime. My advice is maintain a low profile  when you arrive Niger Delta so u can blend in easily. cheers
Politics › Re: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by syke80(f): 12:04pm On Aug 07, 2008
Again, McKren, you do not get it.
Yar'Adua has done what is right by getting rid of Ribadu.

There was not need to fight over left over; the right thing to do was to immediately discard the mess OBJ left behind.

If Ribadu was still in-charge, Ehindero would still be walking around beating his chest as the man, his sister wouldn't have been demoted (as she was also promoted illegally), Bode George would still be sitting pretty, Akala would still be stealing 1 Billion every 11 months as a governor and many many more.

Ribadu played himself.
Yar'Adua has done well. huh

what are u talking about, like Obasanjo Didn`t  do anything for the country.in as much as he did a lot of wrong, he also put a lot of reforms in place that  has done the economy a lot of Good. Can we stop focusing on all the Bad things and focus on the Good things that came out of his administration(be  a grateful Nigerian 4 once), What he was able to achieve during is tenure, a lot of people won`t have been able to achieve( thanks to Oga YAR`ADUA for reverting and destroying what took years to build, all in the name of  of due process,he is just one big puppet being pulled with strings "zombi"wink.

they should give ribadu a break Jo, afterall, he did not promote himself to that position, he was promoted by an appropriate authority and was placed on salary, so no authority can wake up and just demote them, its not just right. Due process my ass, does the PSC not offend the elementary rule of natural justice and fair hearing enshrined in the 1999 Constitution? Abeg forget Due process, its just pure VENDETA.
Ribadu should keep up with the good fight, not giving up(like a coward) but fighting to the end. Heroes are not known for quiting but fighting to the end.
Romance › Re: Toasting A Married Woman? by syke80(f): 5:56pm On Jul 30, 2008
since naturally d men`s actions a where a woman is concerned is controlled by their sight, u`ll wont blame them for toasting a sexy married lady(its just natural), but the most important thing is how the woman responds to these advances.
Politics › Re: Have Your Say: Is Nigeria Worth Living In? by syke80(f): 5:26pm On Jul 30, 2008
madamkoko, You're sounding like someone in my office
@topic, If you are happy with being oppressed, depressed, turn down any SAFE opportunity to leave Nigeria and remain patriotic. Let's see if your patriotism or the fear of being labelled COWARD will be enough for you to look back and say 'I have had a fulfilled life' at the end of your life.
But for me, I'm just looking for the right opportunity to get out of this country, call me a coward I don't mind. I have one life that has no duplicate or photocopy to experiment with and you expect me to stick with Nigeria when I have the chance to leave NO WAY!!!

were are u runing 2 my bro, as dem talk " who no go no know" its worse out there. my brother try am, u go know say dat talk home sweet home na tru.

'when you know there is absolutely nothing that can be done to make this country any better than it is'
that sounds more like a pessimistic point of view to me, this country is a beautiful place (land of opportunities),wonderfully endowed with natural resources, the problem is just dat we have the wrong people in power. even the youths today still have same mentality, but the point i`m trying to make here is that in the face of all these challenges, we should not rule out the power of God,Something good can still come out of this country.Have u forgoten the case of Abacha in so short a time? but who ever tot things would take such drastic turns. so learn to trust a little, things wld get better, its just a matter of time.
Romance › Re: Virginity Is Not Dignity But Lack Of Opportunity.how True? by syke80(f): 4:57pm On Jul 30, 2008

But i`ve decided 2 keep myself and nothing can bit dat.so there!!! shocked
Family › Re: Why Marriages Don’t Work: The Change Factor by syke80(f): 1:23pm On Jul 30, 2008
this  is a cool article, could never have agreed more with it. as i`ve always told my friends, it takes maturity, sacrifice and tolerance 2 make a marriage work. marriage is far from a bed of roses as some newly weds think, it comes with its own shares of challenges. also its good to put some form of dynamics in it bcs human beings naturally get easily bored of routins, so wives & husband should try to come nice ideas that would constantly put some sparks in the marriage.

of course!!! considering a drunk woman lying in a Gutter very early in the morning couldn`t have preconceived such an action.so i would say that when you drunk most times, you take leave of your senses. as long as you are still under the influence, u will do stuffs that on a normal day 2 u are dispeakable and u believe you are incapable of.
