Until armed robbers start coming into ones home in US and kill like they do in Nigeria I take my chances with crime in US. Most crimes committed are by people that know each other.

Just because an insane person shoot at people does that mean I have to lose my second amendment right to carry gun. I have been a gun owner since 1999 and I have yet to commit murder or try to kill anyone. Guns dont kill people. People use gun to kill. One of the main reason I refuse to come to Nigeria is because of my inability to carry my gun to protect myself. Carrying gun is right written into the constitution. Going out my house and getting on a freeway without a gun in my car is an idea that has never crossed my mind.

Maintenance is key..i was suprised when i saw serious pot holes in the USA. Difference here is that they have a good maintenance culture and there is plan to fix such potholes almost immediately.

Roads in Nigeria are bad ok I admit. but when are the people going to start taking responsibility for some of the things that happen to the roads that the government has fixed. When you see an over weight Trailer on a road that wasn't built to handle the amount of load that trailer is hauling. In US those weigh stations on the interstate are there to make sure the weight limit on a particular highway are been observe

I got news for you do you know that there are still 20 states in this USA where there are no age restriction on what age a girl can be marriage off. In fact Louisiana just passed a law last week finally making their state age to be 17. You can look this up. Last year there were 200 marriages of girls between 13 - 16. Power isn't the only thing needed for sustainable growth of a state, I bet you the north has more power supply than u think, but the state isn't economically viable. It's only a stupid business man that will go far north to setup a factory solely cos of power supply, how does he move raw material and finished goods after production.
Our transportation system has to be very functional and reliable especially the rail to help those states. Goods and services have to be able to move easily without damages .
Our tax system too is really bad, a production factory will pay tax in Lagos and still go pay tax in Nasarawa state.

The North is a lost cause. They have been in power for most of Nigeria existence and what can they show for it. I am serious about this.
