VEE2010: If this is true, I now understand why the EFCC requested for his immediate extradition so as to provide him a haven in Nigeria to cover up the investigation. We are still watching the glaring cover up of Wadume and his gang... All I know is, there is no smoke without fire. We stay tuned for further unfolding drama... EFCC !!! where were they when he came into Nigeria how come he was not arrested then? Personally I want him punish in some Mid East Muslim country. Whats the penalty for stealing in those countries again. |

Webmasters › Re: How Much Should Be The Minimum Earnings Of A Developer? by t2luv1: 12:18am On Jun 13, 2020 |
15thAccount: It depends on your position
In Nigeria
Junior devs earn anything between 80-250k larger startups like opay, paystack, terragon grp etc could even go as high as 300-350 depending on how talented you are
Mid level guys earn anything from 250-600, again depends on the company.
Seniors earn 600 and above. A dev once told me andela seniors earn about 800 upwards, alongside company perks, like lunch, transport and bonuses etc
Many senior and mid level devs move on to remote jobs though, especially the very talented ones. That’s where the money is since you earn in dollars or euros depending on the form that employed you. At that point you’d be talking over a million per month and yes they’re more common than you think
Below is a junior developer opening on stackoverflow so you get the drill. It doesn’t mean such jobs are easy to get, that’s why I said the very talented ones
Seniors are upwards of $70,000
modified
No Nigerian company will pay you $70k. At least none that I know of. I was referring to remote work.
The stackoverflow listing below is remote, it’s not a Nigerian firm, if you have the required qualifications, you can apply. Hopefully you get an interview The problem is not the money the issue is meeting project deadlines at least from my experience in working remotely some developers in Nigeria. Also infrastructures deficiency is a big drawback. Internet speed is so bad that project collaboration becomes close to impossible. |

Lostz: even France came up same law recently. you can't be making money in Nigeria and be paying 0 tax How are they making money in Nigeria? They provide a platform you voluntarily signed on to the platform with personal information. Even in US they only pay taxes when those data are sold to a third party within that country. Maybe you prefer they pay Nigeria on revenue generated outside Nigeria. None of those providers has offices in Nigeria where they sell any of their services. If I am wrong I will like someone to tell me otherwise |

kingawothefirst: I’m surprised these MNCs are not being taxed already, the FG need to get their acts together. The main challenge like they said is how to get these companies to comply. can't be done how are they going to monetized it. Revenue are generated when data is sold to a third party. I don't know of any third party in Nigeria that buys harvested data from any of these service providers hence no revenue is being generated locally. Therefore nothing to tax. |

Nchenches: Develop more sense.
Yoruba rejected Buhari becoming elected president of Nigeria three times.
In 2015, Yoruba votes made Buhari become president. How else do you define people who did that? Buhari is ruining Nigeria. Same reason the Igbo hitched their wagon to an Ijaw whatever place he is from man when he was in there. They all looking out for their best interest. How come we never have an all South ticket? Noticed I said all South. Until the south all develop a single mind set the Northerners will keep on playing and benefiting from the division that exist. |
