Funnily, in line with agreement signed, the "investors" in DISCOs were given government-backed facility to start operations.

Now they are not under obligation to provide prepaid meters to consumers or even buy electricity generated by GENCOs since they can do estimated bills and load sharing. Of course they resort to blackmail of "killing foreign investment" any time government steps in.

In case I missed it can you tell me one benefit that must have came out to an average Nigerian from the decision to move the Federal Capital to Abuja. In my opinion the sole basis for moving the capital was just for the Northern people to make sure they hold on to power. Population composition of Abuja should make that very clear to you. Billions spent creating the capital was just a waste of money. But what do I know. Like I said in all my years of being in US I have encountered and seen people from every tribe in the South working to send themselves to school over here but I am still yet to meet someone from the North doing the same thing. The current set up in that country benefits them that's why any discussion to change the set up is a non starter for them.

Anyone ever see someone from the North working overseas to send himself or herself to school. I have never met one. That should tell us something. Time for the country to try something different.

All my life in the US, I am yet to meet a Northern person that comes to the US and go to school while working. I have met Igbo, Yoruba, Edo, and Ijaw but never a Hausa person. Just makes you wonder.

They can decide what speed to route traffic base so many criteria. Before the repeal we had uniformity of speed, and moreover it was illegal to route older device unto slower channel. That is what I was referring to.
